  1. Seen those before in a Zed fyi. Have a look at this thread Scott: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77659-most-comfortable-seats-that-fit-a-350z/ Hope you find it inspirational.
  2. Love the interior in your Zed Turboextreme. Thanks for snapping the engine bay whilst you where at it btw.
  3. Fair enough. Well if you do get round to it still worth keeping that red button for if you ever get round to the ejector seat mod.
  4. They are straight out the car & I haven't touched them yet, they are in pretty good condition, the drivers side could do with some new foam though It's all available for the old Datsun's. Not sure where in the UK but found this US site as an example. Link: http://www.zcarsource.com/seat-foam-re-strapping-240z-260z-280z_8_77928.html
  5. You'd be surprised. This car saw a 20BHP increase after scoop install alone... ...although lost 25BHP from added weight of extra windscreen wipers & stickers. The wipers just need a dash of yellow in the middle to properly co-ordinate with the stripe and complete the look ... Yeah cause that's all that's missing to finish that beauty off.
  6. ejector seat for the lady would work wonders....sounds like a task for the zed shed!! That is the ridiculous location for the horn! Imagine trying to reach blind around the steering wheel, through your legs and into the abyss! I tend to hurl abuse out of the window on the rare occasion that I do drive the car!! Much easier and safer. Needless to say that it wasn't my bright idea (previous owner). Blimey that is a daft position for the horn, ...almost as bad as Nissan putting the ESC button where they did. I've actually stuck a rubber nipple on my ESC button so that I don't have to fumble for it when I want to turn it off. I just reach under the console & know instantly that it's the button with the nipple. You need one of these I think Chris: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/steering-wheel-bosses-accessories/sparco-steering-wheel-buttons Fit that and it should be easy enough just to reroute & extend the wires I'd have thought.
  7. Car is ok to drive without these parts if that helps Just been out in mine in this state; the rear is even worse Heater on full blast is rather annoying What's the red button do near the ESC button?? Ejector seat for the Mrs?, machine guns maybe?? ..ooh I know is it an after burner?
  8. You'd be surprised. This car saw a 20BHP increase after scoop install alone... ...although lost 25BHP from added weight of extra windscreen wipers & stickers.
  9. so in simple words -remap is the correct method of running your zed with the mods you have!! I feel better! :-) Yes or leave the engine totally standard and save about a grand! Well that's no fun ZEUS, ...and you can't take it with you so may as well spend some of it.
  10. Lovely clean engine bay and not too OTT like some so look's nicely modded imo.
  11. Not going to look at that site again Haydn! Vaping supposed to be saving me money not making me spend it. Look's amazing and I'm sure it's much better than my Pro-tank II from KangerTech but that only cost me £13 odd so I'm not surprised really.
  12. Doesn't look bad for the price. High miles is not necessarily a concern but I'd be looking over the service history with a fine tooth comb. For example with that mileage/age I would have expected the spark plugs to have been changed at least twice. They should be changed every 5 years or every 54K miles, whichever comes soonest. It is worth having a read through the 350Z service schedule to give you a good incite into what should have been done to any 350 depending on mileage/age. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31110-service-schedule-for-a-350z/
  13. Surely the Police if they watch a car "meet/cruise" unfold can't they just arrest/fine the trouble makers/speeders/racers etc anyway and just let everyone else enjoy the car scene? To me it just seems like another one of those laws where one person f**ks it up for everyone so we all suffer un-necessarily.
  14. If you need one now then Halfords would be my first suggestion, ...should still be open and you may get a good deal especially if you have a trade card.
  15. Everyone's different & feels/hears/perceives things differently. I mean some people just fit an air induction kit & start saying how amazing the car feels afterwards etc. Personally I felt the UpRev was worth it for me ~ mainly because I knew that my car was running correctly (fueling/AFR etc) with the mods that I had made to it.
  16. Happy Birthday Dan. Did Michelin send you anything then? I mean you are their top salesman after all.
  17. Great idea and some bargains to be had.
  18. That'd be cool. Was talking with my mate tonight, ...he's got a my99 JDM Impreza WRX STI Type RA V-Limited (what a mouth full ) which is running around 450+bhp and now my Zed can keep up we're definitely planning some trips next year. See what's round London & we'll see. Also been looking at Shakespeare County Raceway to try our hand at drag racing & hopefully some track days at some point too.
  19. One of my favourite modded interiors for definite. You should be proud of that.
  20. Meguairs Gold Class shampoo is what I've been regularly using. Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Meguiars-Gold-Class-Car-Wash-Shampoo-Conditioner-Kent-Microfibre-Noodle-Wash/281191312435?_trksid=p2054897.c100204.m3164&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140407115239%26meid%3D5cac1d2b00704e0d97390cb792bb6d1c%26pid%3D100204%26prg%3D20140407115239%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D30%26sd%3D351157818694 Has conditioner in it too, ...quite how that's a good thing for a car I have no idea though.
  21. You just need the correct loom adapters to ensure the steering wheel controls still work. Guide here: http://www.350z-uk.c...z-audio-system/ This may also help if you do decide to change the head unit. Link: http://www.350z-uk.c...guide-may-help/ If you do get the correct loom adapters then a local car audio place should only charge you around £20-£30 for fitting the head unit. I had my Pioneer head unit fitted locally by B&B Audio Concepts, Cardiff for £25.
  22. You could just get a cheap double din CD/radio for around £80-£100 (JVC @Halfords for £89 fyi) and throw the Bose in the bin. Personally I'd do that.
  23. Look's great but if it's not comfortable or right for you driving wise then it's just not worth it. Sure they'll sell easily enough and hopefully you can get a suitable replacement set.
  24. Great news Peter and welcome aboard.
