  1. It could just be that the price has dropped to a level where there are more youngsters behind the wheel and its becoming a high risk car. Or on a similar note the 350z's reputation/statistics in america might be fianlly having an influence over here. Nissan bringing it home with 4 of top 10 deadliest vehicles in 2015.... http://www.cheatshee...html/?a=viewall
  2. Brake fluid is topped up, brakes lights are working, no ob2 codes. What next? The fault lights only kick in medium breaking but once on they stay on. Th fault will trigger from stationary, there doesn't have to be a load on the brakes What would be causing the brake pedal to knock when I start the engine? If there was air in system would this cause it, the fluid should have been changed in October. ****Edit**** Scrap that its the brake lights, looks to be intermittent. Would that be causing the pedal knock though?
  3. I was driving a fiat 500 diesel ecoflex before my Z. The specialist insurers on here wouldn't touch me for a year, but the big ones had no issue. Think i went with admiral first time round.
  4. Good point, but I think most large upload sites strip out the data (excluding Facebook obviously). I've just switched from Photobucket to imgur and hadn't checked, but can confirm imgur also strip out the data Its called exif data rather than meta data, it stores a lot more than just the GPS. If your getting into photography its really useful info.
  5. I thought the general trend was for insurance to be higher this year than last? My last renewal with AF was ~£50 more expensive, but I added £1k onto the guaranteed value.
  6. Probably worth dropping a PM to Mark@Abbey. He'll be able to confirm for sure.
  7. There are BT compatibility issues with the 350z not sure about the 370z though.
  8. Ignore me - didn't realise this was 370 related
  9. yep - 6 months up front - I've just done that with a new tenant - situation is - couple just moving in, his ex-partner ran up credit bills and left them with him - he's paying them off under an agreed payment scheme - but that makes his credit score low I was just going to mention this, you can get around the guarantor requirement by paying 6 months+ upfront. Obviously given the situation you'd have to loan this to her and work out a repayment plan with her, but it would get round you having your name associated to the flat. My old house mate just moved to London and had to pay 6 months rent up front - 1 bed flat in Camden, total required to move in £14k upfront....
  10. Autotrader puts the stock value at £4.5k (private) or 5.9k (Dealer). So, that's a good baseline. You have to decide if the mods and relative peace of mind (you should get form buying from a member) worth the extra?
  11. Mighty car mods Jalopnik TheHoonigans
  12. So I couldn't resist. No Odb2 codes Brake lights work but.... If I just top this up with the dot 4 I've got coming tomorrow would that be an issue? No idea whats in there at the moment, but presumed as its such a small amount it would be an issue. I'll be booking it in for a full change ASAP, but imagine it'll probably be done next week some time. Also, whats that smaller bottle to the top of the image? Its on max, possibly even slightly over.
  13. No, I can't park by my house and i don't drive daily. I've ordered the brake fluid as it needs to be changed anyway, so will check it out at the weekend if I don't get round to it after work. The tap only happens when I turn the engine on and got less sever the closer to home i got. I turned the car off and on at each set of traffic lights. My thinking is that as the brake fluid gets warmer it takes it more volume, so low fluid becomes less of an issue. I'll be getting a OB2 code when I'm next at the car.
  14. How much fluid do I need if I'm just replacing not flushing? Found the answer 1 liter...
  15. Cheers, at least they are both easy things to check. Don't think its my switch due to the tap I'm getting from the brake pedal.
  16. My ESP, TCS and ABS lights are coming on and staying on. Re-starting the car turns them off but they come on again shortly Found this thread with pretty much the same problem. http://www.350z-uk.c...-esp-lights-on/ Only difference is when I turn the car on I can feel a tap through the brake pedal. Would this be caused by low brake fluid? It is due a brake fluid change anyway. I did a reasonably heavy break from ~20mph on an empty road and the brakes felt fine. My cars parked 5 minutes away and its raining, so I'm trying to trouble shoot now and then I'll check the level next I'm out there. Is this correct for brake fluids? Dot 3 or above but Motul RBF 600/660 is recommended and I need 2 liters for a flush and refill Do i need a flush? thanks
  17. Hey we've all got to start somewhere
  18. What was the little bottle of glue for (I know it sounds like an obvious question/answer but the rim tape already has adhesive on it)? Mine came with a little bottle of glue with a brush in the lid. Haven't put mine on yet as i'm due a wheel refurb soon. I found the wipes and glue bottle the other day, took me 1/2 an hour to remember what 'project' they came with. The glues dried up now
  19. I'd say you can also make a car more sensitive by wearing heavier shoes.
  20. They can crop up anywhere.... Technically its 360 video, but its pretty amazing video to watch in a VR headset.... ~3:05
  21. Someone put an off in for my sister house of £xxx,xxx.72p We were laughing at the cheek of it so much we walked off and lost one of her kids for 10 minutes. General consensus was they were probably trying to insinuate they were down to their last few pence. Didn't work...
  22. Couldn't you get the same results by wearing heavier shoes?
  23. The re-map can add different modes like - valet/economy or add pops and bangs to you exhaust (if your into that kind of thing). But as others have said better off to spend some money on engine/air flow mods first then get a remap latter.
