They are over "Chester-le-Street" way....... I am just emailing the guys to try and get them signed up ASAP.

Slam panel was already on the car when I purchased it, was an aftermarket Carbon Fiber one, probably from the same company who manufactured the existing engine cover I have on. Never really been a fan to just Carbon Fiber.....Hence the decision to get it dipped..... Didn't want to do the original panel (Nissan) as I didn't have one, and I also liked the aftermarket one as it has an air feed piece to the air filter.

Well just got back off the hols to find that some stuff I am having dipped was ready to be picked up. I use the same guy all the time as I know he is first class and knows how fussy I am. The company is now in new hands and the new guys have promised to sign up here so they can take some of our hard earned cash. Couple of pics (Bear in mind my photography is rubbish) First off is the Genuine Nissan Engine Cover, still have to fit the badge. This has been carbon dipped over Candy Apple Red then lacquered: (I will be selling my aftermarket Carbon Fiber cover in the next couple of days) Next was the slam panel. This is an aftermarket carbon one, I disliked the finish, but love it now: Next up is some more interior parts to match up with my already completed instrument and radio panels: This is a gold carbon weave and I believe there is some gold fleck in the lacquer, although my photography doesn't show any of this off to its best: And lastly my strut brace cover, always disliked the silver one. Just got to fit the badge back on: The pics really don't do the workmanship justice, but in the flesh they look stunning. Not going to run the risk of losing this thread this time by mentioning company, but I think I am safe in saying they are North East based, and do first class work. Some of the wheels and motorbike stuff they have done is totally stunning. Needless to say, the new owners will be signing up on here as traders in the very very near future. Hope you enjoy.

1 x S T Shirt Please -
My new car was delivered to my address on the back of a trailer so nobody drove it. Arrived with 3 miles on the clock and I was able to do a full inspection BEFORE signing to accept the car. May be worth speaking to the garage and ask them if the car will be driven or trransported.

Decided its time to change the speakers and sub in the 350, happy with the Pioneer Sat Nav head unit, just need to improve the sound quality. Currently looking at either: Hertz Dieci dsk 165.3 (had these previously and loved the sound of them in my MR2) or JBL MS-62C - Which seem to get a very high rating for sound, quality, etc So throw myself to the lions and see if anyone has any first hand experience in either these two. Any comments would be very much appreciated. thanks all

Love them and whats the cost

Looks interesting but also sounds very much like the Gtechniq C1 Crystal application.

I am on the hunt for a few parts that I need for the next phase of my project: Centre console/arm rest plastics....The bit that houses the ashtray and the bluetooth unit. Already have the centre console instrument panel bit. Also looking for either the ashtray or ashtray lid for the console. The door cups Centre vents - The surrounds that are on either side of the centre console instrument panel. Many thanks Graeme

Did the wife's red MR2 with this mitt over the weekend, also used the G3 pro conditioner and was blown away with the finish, bodywork just feels like glass and it's really revitalised the paintwork, I always hated flaying, but this mitt makes it so easy.

I fitted one of Mark's plenums last week and it totally transforms the bay, along with the bling bonnet catch........definitely worth the money and minimal effort.

Really sorry bud....... I am sure it will be sorted ;-)

I like the sound of that........my get my son in law to do a photoshop mock up. Thanks everyone for the kind comments, always nice to get the thumbs up from the brotherhood (sisterhood is very nice to)

I like your thinking on the Core brace :-) sounds just the job, however, the blue bits are from the orginal owner, I am looking to go Red and as near a Candy Apple red that I can.......The slam plate and the Carbon cover will be dipped in Carbon with a Candy Apple Red finish, so slight change of colour on that core brace :-) Now need to find the appropriate bolts for the plenum but in Red or at the very least chrome.

Cheers Buster, just trying to achieve the high levels of the Zed shed............ We should really have a Northern edition ;-)

Thanks to "Mopedmark". first of all, very sorry if this is in the wrong section, I was a bit split on where best to put it. Anyway, after a chat last week with "Mopedmark" I was set to receive one of his Bling Plenums and Bling Bonnet catch, they duly arrived on Thursday and wow was I impressed. So as today was glorious weather, it seemed rude not to use it to spoil the zed. Bonnet catch was the first job, which took all of 10 mins, and what a difference to the original as you can see below: The finished product had a superb finish to it and it looked like all the springs were new as well. Supplied with new bolts and washers. Next up was the plenum chamber (Think that's what its called).....Bit more than a 10 minute job, and I cooked in the sun doing it.....not one of my best ideas really, but I couldn't wait to see Mopedmark's handy work sitting in the engine bay. Old one removed and Jesus was it filthy and a fine coating of some very sticky oily substance which was a nightmare to remove if you got it on you, there wasn't anything of the plenum that you could say was clean: Quick view of what it was like down the intake neck So with that tossed to one side, a quick clean of the throttle body was undertaken, which surprisingly wasn't too bad, was a bit dubious about moving the flap, but in the end I had to. Mopedmark says he "Vapor Blasts" the plenums, and frankly it does a superb job, not a spec of dirt to be found anywhere, it would of been worth the change just for this: And the intake was spotless: Once everything was back in place, it was time to stand back and admire Mopedmark's hard work, and not easy to photograph in the glaring sun. I love the finished article: Massive thanks to Mopedmark for supplying a superb product and at a very good price.....Now to save the pennies for his custom brace All in all a great afternoon's work. There was a negative to the whole thing, which was that I had to run through the Processes to set the throttle closed position and the Idle Air Volume Learning.... They were a total pain to do, to half a dozen goes to get it done, but worth it in the end. thanks for looking. All credit goes to Mopedmark

And you've not seen the PM's kept me busy over the weekend. Anyway just to keep you all updated. The man holding top spot at the moment; "Mick-R1" has stated he wants the system, and is currently looking at couriers as he needs to get it over to Ireland. I have kept tabs on everyone's PM's and Posts to ensure that should Mick-R1 changes his made due to courier costs or "other", then the next in the list gets the opportunity. I know its frustrating hanging on, especially the few guys who just about live on my doorstep, and are itching to just "come and pick it up", but I believe its only right that the first to respond should be the one who gets the option first......Need to be fair to everyone. Thanks for your patience.

I'll give you that one.......should learn to proof read what I have written before hitting the post button. Will drop him an email, need to speak to him ref clutch anyway so might get it all done at the same time. Cheers bud

Thanks both for the information.... That's persuaded me to go for it, and I can let the bodyshop know about the minor issues and at least they are then prepared.

Bit of a write up on "Nico" club that should help understand what they do. I know the guys at Horsham Developments did some testing on whether they had any effect or not, and there tests showed a positive improvement. HERE is the Horsham Dev info

I used FDTS Ltd to do mine in the MR2, had them professionally done and changed to cream to match the seats. They did a first class job and the cost was around £70 for both belts. These are fitted into your own belt reels so you will either need to take the car off the road for the week or get a spare pair. They do many colours, drop them a line, sure they will be able to sort it out for you.
