  1. talking of "Baby on board" stickers..... 18months ago on the M1 around Tibshelf area, a Skoda Octavia RS in black......with blue flashing lights front and rear.....Yes unmarked police ...... Had pulled an offender on the hard shoulder, what caught my attention about the unmarked police car, was the "baby on board" sticker in the back window!!! guess he must of been "deep undercover"!
  2. Hi Howlin_Mad and welcome to the forum..... I remember you well and your cars from both IMOC and MR2OC...... I went as GTECH then......did all the chrome fan kits for the Turbo engine lids. This is an awesome forum with some fantastic personalities...... I found everyone a lot more helpful than any of the other forums I went on. You wont be sorry joing this group....... Sorry I should of said "YOU WILL BE SORRY"....... They are a nightmare into tempting you to part with your money for bling things :-) I will be at JAE next week, so hopefully I will bump into you and have a beer. Regards Graeme
  3. has to be only 3 points that. If you've not paid a fine and sent your licence off for the "Dodgy lot", then how can that be endorssed on your licence. I would go by whatever is on the paper copy of your licence, which should be your 3.
  4. Cheers Whackywill..... Did see that previously, but didn't really answer my question about the "R" on the end of the KH3 code.
  5. Quick bit of clarification needed before I dive in with the paintshop. Car is a 2005 (Dec) 350Z UK Manual (pre-facelift). On the VIN Plate, paint code shows as "KH3 R" Is the "R" at the end of any significance? it was spaced away from the KHR as shown in the first line. Thanks
  6. Could anyone please advise re one of the elements within the schedule for the 350. What is the "NCVT Fluid" that needs to be changed on a P3 service? Also, is it me mis-reading things, but looking at the schedule, the only difference I can see between P3 & P3 is that on the P3 LSD Gear oil is replaced......... Oh and no doubt a massive hike from Mr Nissan for the difference!!
  7. Have you ever tried doing something different with the pre-facelift door cards? I really dislike them as they always look like they have grease spots all over them, despite cleaning with multitude of cleaners.
  8. How long before the better quality one's are available? and any rough idea what pricing is going to be like? Thanks
  9. Spoiler please subject to some questions that I pm'd over to you. Cheers
  10. Cheers KyleR, will get some new hoses ordered up in red now :-) Thanks
  11. Before I have to go start stripping bits down in the engine bay, does anyone know the diameter of the silicone coupler hose that joins intake to the throttle body? Thanks
  12. Thanks for the info guys. ts743 - Wouldn't mind grabbing some info on that sale just in case this one falls through Thanks
  13. Cancel my last, sorry....daughter just informed me she flogged them !
  14. She has decided against the Tiptronic one, definately wants manual, that in mind she has just seen: Mitsubishi FTO 2.0 V6-200 PS GPX Which is in A1 cond with full service history, new MOT etc etc Some of you guys were saying one model engine was the better one to go for, what is the engine in the GPX likely to be?
  15. Im in Darlo and have a pair of orginal cats off a Dec 2005 350Z sat in my daughters shed
  16. Well guys thats given me plenty to think of and enough information to go on when looking at them. The wife, who will use it as a daily drive for work, is not a fast driver or anything like that, as long as its got a bit of poke to take off from a junction, anything else she is not interested in.... She is not convinced about the Tiptronic, not ever having driven or semi-auto. Can I assume the GPX variant is the manual drive? this might be better for her. I am a bit wary about the guy selling it.... Says all the top end has been done, but no paperwork and doesn't really know what was done as its a mate of a mate sort of thing. Comes out with statements like "Oil and filter changed every month"! But my eyes have been opened by you guys, many thanks for all your comments and help, very much appreciated. Graeme
  17. Anymore discount codes kicking around?
  18. Hi Mike, its the 2.0 GR she is looking at, V6 Tiptronic. Guy has just had a top end rebuild done as well as cambelt and water pump. Total stranger to these cars despite having worked on probably 100's of different model cars in my lifetime, I have never touched the Mitsi......
  19. Evening All, The wife fancies a change from her MR2 which she has had for 7yrs now. She's seen a really nice looking FTO 2.0 V6 Semi Auto. Looks well looked after and has had a good amount of money spent on it, as you would expect from another "Jap Petrolhead". Anyone any experience with the FTO's? what we should look for, etc. Trying to arrange a viewing, and personally have never even been close to an FTO let alone anything else. Thanks in advance
  20. Nice price...... Do they make a significant difference, and is there any real advantage when the car is only road use?
  21. Cheers Toothy, thought it would be something like that, assumed it was there for headunits without a sense wire.....just have to take the headunit back out to enable the Pioneer sense unit then all should be well :-) Thanks
  22. You really need to have someone who knows his stuff when it comes to dipping. As in painting, its all in the prep, and the bling is all in the finish, so the guy needs to be skilled at all elements. If he screws it up and it looks pants, the only way back is to strip it and do it again. Save yourself some heartache and pay the little extra to have the job done right in the first place.
  23. Just as a little update on this matter of converting the 350Z leds, I have a copy of the documents that were supplied on the "Eric-White" web site, if anyone is interested in having a look at the very good and detailed guide, download from HERE. This is a 10Mb download and contains both parts 1 & 2 of the docs from the site.
  24. tested it earlier in the week and all works fine without it, just using the normal Yellow phono and the power cables supplied. I have found, having put back the headunit, that I now need to take it out as there is a separate connector on my Pioneer head unit, that I have to connect for auto reverse sense, otherwise I have to engage the camera manually on the headunit........ Thanks for all your replies
