Hi All, Looking to get the rear window and 2 small side windows done in Limo tint black, but having problems finding someone with a good reputation in the Darlington/Middlesbrough area Can anyone make any recommendations? Ideal scenario would be someone who travels to your work place Thanks in advance

I've never had any issues with Waxing after using QD as a drying aid and been using this method for years with a variety of waxes. If I go to the shows and need to clean off the car, again I use the QD with about the same mix ratio 80% water to 20% QD......never fails.

Just to keep everything straight. Currently 2 members very interested in the exhaust system, both indicated that they wish to purchase, in order of when they contacted me: 1. Mick-R1 2. Benjy88 Hopefully will here back from "Desey" and then I can let you know where you stand Mick.

This exhaust has now sold - Many thanks for all your inquiries and patience. Hi All, Having just had a "Invidia Gemini" fitted to the car, I now have its predecessor for sale. This is a "HKS Style True Dual" system. Had a beautiful deep burble to it, not overbearingly loud, but my old ears have got over sensitive so needed something mellow, plus it stops me annoying the neighbors. So about the exhaust, was fitted to the car when I purchased it about 6 months ago, and as far as I know, the previous owner hadn't had it on that long. I have cleaned and polished one side to see what it comes up like, and it comes up like new. The braid on the flexi has gone through but the bellows are fine and there are no leaks. All the weld joints polish up like new and to my "untrained" eyes they all look good and doing exactly what they should be doing. On each of the sides there is a spot about 1.5" where its been flattened very very slightly, I guess it was a spot which was rubbing on something. When it was fitted to my car, there was no rattles, bangs or blows. Just a lovely deep rumble, everyone at work commented on how it was a deep rich tone. It always polished up nice (as you can see) I am based in the Northeast (Darlington), ideally collection would be preferred, but I am happy to pack it up if anyone wants to arrange their own courier........Plenty to choose from who can do it at the right price, OR, I do travel all over the country, I can arrange to meet up with the buyer at some point during my travels, but this would be subject to the payment being received beforehand. Contact me to discuss. In addition to the pictures below, there is a folder full HERE which have not been chopped down in size. This will give you the opportunity to zoom in onto any part and give the exhaust a good check-over. Price I am stumped on, and for that reason I will remain slightly flexible, but please no silly offers!!!. I think £200 ovno sounds like a fair price, having looked around at prices of various systems, and the prices of some of the second hand systems. Couple of sound clips, Please excuse the low quality, I had to do them with the phone, and its not the best for that sort of thing. STATIC DRIVE BY thanks for looking, and please don't hesitate to contact me,

they are all really good guys....... Scampton is one of the sites I look after and was fortunate enough to spend a VIP day with the guys up at Scampton. Honestly they were a great laugh, I took two of the girls from the office and the whole day was enjoyed by the 3 of us, and at the end of the day we were given some superb gifts, including photographs signed by the whole team (which was a one off). Maybe someone caught them on an off-day........ There was nothing pretentious about any of them, they were just a bunch of guys having an awesome time.

Been waiting for ages for you to get this fitted It looks superb and I see the guy is still selling them so might just have to take a punt on one. Did you bodyshop say if there were any fitment issues or tweaks needed to make it fit? Lovely looking motor.

ELM327 so will be fine, I use on on both the zed and my daughters Imprezza, handy little toolset really.

I've just had the Invidia Gemini with Berk HFC's fitted to my 350, and am totally over the moon with it. Was on the motorway last weekend and totally no drone at all, just nice silence.....unless you hit the loud pedal. All round it has a lovely tone whether it be on tick over or giving it full beans........but definitely no drone!!

Yep Meguiars Last Touch is spot on for a "Drying Aid", I have a bottle mixed up at a rate of about 20% QD 80% Water. Wash and rinse the car(s) quick spritz with the QD Drying aid, then dry off. Always given a lovely shine and is just the job if you only want to do a quick wash without having to Wax, etc. And its relatively cheap if you buy it by the 5L

I run the Invidia with Berk HFC's and find it perfect all round, has a nice tone to it without it being "yobbish" and more importantly NO DRONE at all at any RPM. My last exhaust which was a "HKS True Dual Style" had an awesome deep burble to it, but just too loud for my ears......Cant go wrong with the Invidia and Berks.

You would think it wouldn't cost extra Ewen. But I recently (Saturday), had a quote to replace the clutch, which they supplied, I then asked the question "Would there be any additional cost to fit the flywheel at the same time" response was an addition 2.5hrs charge. Guess they wont be getting my business ...... Would you mind telling me how much the quote was to replace the clutch.as I have been quoted just over £1000. Sorry bud missed your post on request for price. So. They STRONGLY advised a competition clutch (god knows why, the car is standard and never goes on the track), full clutch kit was £440 (ex flywheel) and fitting a further £270, so total of £710 drive in and drive out, but bear in mind this excludes the flywheel, and the price from them ranges from £231 to £350 (LUK DMF). Also, you could save a good few quid on the clutch kit as our traders are talking around £330 for the Exedy. HTH

Hmm interesting..... Think I will give them a call on Tuesday just to confirm everything and to make sure I can collect when I drive down to Portsmouth, looking at Google they are not that far off the M1 and ultimately if I get there and they try to sell me something other than a LUK Flywheel I can at least walk out the door and continue on my way. Thanks for the info Arkwright, really appreciate you checking it out.

Thanks for the info Arkwright. One option is to collect from them as I will be passing by their business on Wednesday, so may be worth dropping in and taking a look, assuming its a stock item and not drop shipped from LUK or other!

I know you have to be careful with everything these days, hence the reason I asked on the Forum. To be fair to them though some of the negative reviews, especially on the Rovertech site, could have been avoided if the buyer had read their terms and conditions. I can understand their point of view on the buyer returning the goods when they are in Southern Ireland. They did offer to pick-up if in the UK. I always try to go with the traders, but when you are talking about a difference of £100 on a single item, its significant. I fully appreciate that the traders on here are the top of the tree and give us a superb service, but at the end of the day if I can save that sort of money on a purchase, then I have to look into it. There are a good few other suppliers out there supplying the Genuine LUK DMF for under £270, and the more I save, the more I have to spend on the Zed

Yep seen this yesterday and was tempted and still in 2 minds really as the car is only a weekend car so does very very low mileage.
-
I've been talking to Ewen via PM, not spoken to Cougar or anyone else, but going by the prices on the site, they are still £90+ dearer for the LUK DMF
-
Just want to see if anyone has used the website "Buypartsby.co.uk" which is Sutton Auto Factors? I'm in the market for a new clutch and this site is advertising the LUK Dual-mass Flywheel (which all the traders supply) for £231.73 inc VAT which I think is an excellent price, and represents nearly a £100 saving. Would be useful to know if anyone else has used them and if they were ok. Thanks

Hi Guys n Gals, Quick Bank Holiday bump for this fantastic setup. Its just got to go as I am fed up with seeing it sat there They dont come any cheaper than this!

Awesome show, been going for about 8yrs now, current site at "Wicksteed Park" has to be one of the best venue's. I have been on various MR2 club stands and we now have our own stand for the Jap cars in the Northeast, so if the 350's have a stand I'm torn between the two. Likewise if anyone is lost for somewhere to show their car, we always welcome visitors and happy for them to put their car on our stand (NE Japs) a friendly welcome will be given to one and all.

Responded via PM. For the benefit of others outside the UK, Here's the same deal I offered Simon. Happy to send anywhere outside the UK (within reason), however, the £115 incl delivery does not mean delivery outside UK. I am happy to pull up prices from Royal mail, etc and you can then decide on which service to use, I will knick £10 off the price of the goods to help towards your courier costs. The £10 is roughly what it would cost me me to send secure and tracked in the UK. Bear in mind that there are some very cheap services with couriers, but these don't necessarily include tracking or cover the amount under insurance, so cheap is not best!!!!. Thanks for looking Graeme

-
Thanks bud......Black is a nightmare to keep clean, but when you give it some TLC they always look great......just got to find a way of keeping it like that.......apart from locking it in the garage :-)
