  1. I'm intrested in any exhausts as my stock one is on its way out. Preferably something along the lines of the corba or scorpian. I might even be intrested in a K1 or K2 if the price was right
  2. I used megs metal polish and it worked a treat. I do need something to seal it afterwards tho.
  3. Is removing the silencer a job for a garage? I'm not great with doing any work myself. Does it need another pipe in its place or is it as simple as removing it? I'm useless when it comes to this stuff.
  4. I would be interested in what peoples opinions on this are......
  5. Cheers guys, I guess I'll just wait until christmas is out the way and treat myself to a cobra system. Was just hoping to do something quick and cheap to tie me over until then but it's probably not worth the bother
  6. Is there any point in doing it this way? I would be planning on upgrading to a full system at some point but at the minute I can't afford it. The reason behind this would be purely for sound, not to bothered about gaining HP at the minute.
  7. Another one!! There must have been 3 or 4 engines let go in the last week on here. Whats going on??
  8. I guess you're right, I just find cod ghost to be too slow, I can only see this making it even slower. I'm a rusher all day long tho, got some wicked gameplays saved up from black ops 2, double nuclears and triple swarms etc, I keep meaning to start a small youtube channel but never get round to it.
  9. That sounds like one big horrible slow paced camp fest to be honest, I'm not convinced
  10. I just dip the clutch. As it's going down and it's free I blip the throttle so that as I lift the clutch it engages as the revs hit the right point. So no holding the revs at a certain point. Ah cool, I'm going to keep working on this then, I don't think it will take too long to get used to.
  11. I tried this tonight on the way home from work haha. I can just about manage it, it takes me so long to do at the moment a normal down shift is quicker. Do you need to keep the revs up the whole time or can you let them dip once the clutch is pressed and blip the throttle when the clutch is down? I guess it probably doesn't make too much difference, I did notice the car doesn't jerk or anything when doing this which I guess is the whole point. I'm a proper driving noob incase you couldn't tell.
  12. I was going to start my own thread on this! Once I get down to - - - - after a few miles the petrol light vanishes and the reading typically goes back to 20 miles! Last week it went from 20 miles to - - - - and I'd left my bank card in the house, I drove 15 miles home from work on - - - - then the next day when I started her up the light went off and I had 28 miles showing.
  13. If protected NCB then you wouldnt loose that, but you`d still have to declare that you had made a claim and therefore the insurance company may well increase your premium as statistically if you have made a claim you are more likely to have another one (or some such thing). Makes me think now though, next time i leave my car at a garage i will ask them if its insured! Yup spot on! They also ask have you had "any losses" too, this means even if someone hit you and it wasn't your fault and it was settled off the record they would still want to know about it, this can increase the premium too. I work for a broker and if someone while in conversation mentions something in passing about any incident no matter how small, I need to note it on their policy and it can hike the premium and incur an admin fee for making the changes
  14. Your protected bonus will allow a certain amount of "fault" claims in a set space of time, this would be classed as a fault claim as their would be no third party to claim from (unless the garage had something in place). Even with bonus protected the details of the claim would still show on your insurance and would still increase the premium, many people don't seem to realize that.
  15. A boxster??? Horrible looking car that screams "this was all I could afford".
  16. I've been sacked because of facebook before! I was moaning about something legitimate and work related and didn't include the company's name but someone on my friends list printed my words and grassed me up!! Lesson learnt, I never have work mates on my social media anymore and keep my page to private. It led me on to bigger and better things anyway and got me out of the rut I was stuck in.
  17. It was an R33 running roughly 500BHP. WOW, made the Z look like a toy and it sounded like a bloody rocket! Absolute joy to drive. Naturally I want one now, has anyone here had one before? I'd imagine they cost an arm and a leg to run/maintain? In about 5 months time I'm going to be much better off financially and I'll be considering buying one of these beasts! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/skyline-r33/skyline-r33-gtr/1704607?utm_expid=73689293-28.GwaTIa0tTx6mQ1ehYJDijg.0&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pistonheads.com%2Fclassifieds%3FCarTypeFF%3DANY%26Category%3Dused-cars%26Consumption%3DANY%26FuelType%3DANY%26M%3D1038%26NoDoors%3DANY%26SortOptions%3DPriceLowToHigh%26Transmission%3DANY#
  18. Looks pretty cool, not keen on the blue stripes tho. Would look better all black.... In my opinion anyway
  19. To be honest on your budget you'd be better off keeping the sensation. I've got the HTC one, it cost a fortune and I don't need any of the stuff it does. I had the sensation before that and it worked just fine.
  20. 90% of people are complete pussys! Without a doubt I'd be diving in to help the guy. I got beat up pretty bad once by 3 guys for no reason outside a metro station, I put up a fight but once they got me down they kicked the @*!# out of me, their must have been 20 people on the platform and not a single person came to help.
  21. I find it a bit odd as quite often the import versions of cars already in the UK are more expensive to buy here. Just look at the JDM civic type r for example.
  22. I used to be a pub manager, great job, got loads of woman and the social part of it was brilliant. The hours were awful tho and the money was even worse. I work for a broker in car insurance now, much better money and better hours but the job is mind destroyingly boring.
  23. This is a good one if you're interested in politics and the economy.... Has some great scenes of google, amazon and starbucks representatives becoming lost for words whilst trying to explain themselves to uk mp's about how little tax they have paid. Now I'm not exactly a fan of the government either and I'm still learning and have a lot to learn about how things really work in this country but this documentary is very insightful and shows the scale of tax dodging these huge corporations get away with.
  24. Check what tyres you're running then let us know, chances are they're either worn or a budget brand. When I picked mine up it had falkens on the rear but they were quite worn, the car was very tail happy and the back end would slide out under hard acceleration, even in a straight line!! I've got kuhmo ku39's on all around now and they have made a HUGE difference to how the car handles, it's actually difficult to make it lose traction now.
