  1. It's only natural that your comment annoyed me, you come on to my thread and put down my sale with info that isn't even correct. Anyway, sorry to waste peoples time but this is no longer for sale, my circumstances have changed and I'm keeping the car. Mod's delete this thread please.
  2. It's the cheapest non import Z on an 04 plate with this sort of mileage on auto trader and piston heads. Autotraders recommended sale price was 6,300. Asking the mods to lock this thread now, don't need people like you harming my sale thanks.
  3. I only paid £5900 for it 8 month ago, if I can make my money back I'm happy. I'm pretty sure I got it at a bargin price but I'd feel bad selling it on here for more than I paid for it. If it doesn't sell on here it will go on pistonheads/auto trader and the price will be slightly higher
  4. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this and I've decided the Z has got to go, I'm moving into a new house which is the only reason I'm doing this, I will be really sad to see her go. The car is a uk spec 350Z, it's done just under 61,000 miles but that will go up as it's still my daily. It was serviced about 4,000 miles ago and has recently had new rear brake pads fitted. It's always ran on V power and has 6 months tax and MOT till march next year. The bodywork is in great condition overall however the front bumper does suffer from the usual stone chips. Unfortunately I scraped the side skirt whilst parking recently, it's not bad and I've been quoted £90 to get it fixed. I will get that sorted before the sale but it's worth mentioning incase anyone comes to view the car before it's done. It's also worth mentioning that the drivers side tyre is worn on the outside, it's still road legal but the car will need the wheels aligned. I've priced the car accordingly and for a quick sale, this is the cheapest 04 plate uk 350Z on the market at the minute and with much lower miles than average too. Someone snap this up before I change my mind and decide to keep it again Please PM me if you're interested.
  5. I quite like the idea of a DC2 They are more expensive than EP3's tho, crazy really considering how most of them are imports and pretty old. I like how the DC2 is a rare sight on uk roads tho and It still has a little of that wow factor that the EP3 doesn't. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/honda/integra/honda-integra-type-r--dc2--98-spec--jdm/1792647# This one is really tidy, it would almost be defeating the point paying that much tho, I don't want to be spending more than 3.5 grand if it can be helped.
  6. DC2 is one of the best front wheel drive cars in my opinion, an absolute beast on the track and the B roads. I've been out in a few. I'm talking to someone on here about possibly trading my 350 for a dc2 with cash my way. I'm not sure tho, they are quite brutal and not the comfiest of cars to live with. They have all done loads of miles too.
  7. Thanks for the advice fella! I actually had an EP3 a while back so I have a pretty good understanding of what to look for. I know the mileage isn't something to worry about as long as it's been well looked after but it would still bother me a little bit. I would probably only have the EP3 up until next summer and I'd upgrade again anyway so it's not like I will be running up loads of miles. After having a serious think about how much money I will be paying out a month in my new gaff I don't think the Z will be staying. It's possible financially but I'd have to really watch my spending and live to a pretty tight budget, It just aint worth it for the sake of a car. It's going to kill me watching someone drive my Z away tho.
  8. To be honest I don't think think that many Chavy types drive type R's anyway. The insurance on them is still sky high until you hit mid twenties. Saying that, they are still very common and the older high milers look really cr@P. With a few subtle mod's they can still turn heads tho, I think they look smart when done properly. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/honda/civic-type-r/honda-civic-type-r-cosmic-grey-ctr-number-plate------------------2004/1796030# This one looks like it's been well looked after. All the mod's are tasteful and the work has been done by TGM. Knock a few hundred quid off the price and I'd be happy with that like, just a shame its done 100,000 + miles. Not that it matters with a honda anyway. Think Im going to go test drive one and see how I feel. I could really use the extra couple of grand right now.
  9. I may very well be selling mine shortly and it would be for a similar price. It's on an 04 plate, it's not an import and it has done 60,000 miles. I will PM you if I decide to put mine for sale. You only live 30 mile from me too
  10. Cheers lads. I think the Z is a great car, I love the way it looks and drives but I feel like something is missing and I'm not sure what. I guess thats why I wanted to modify it so badly but with a new flat on the agenda that isn't going to be possible for the foreseeable future. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the Z a lot, but I feel it's lacking something and I can't quite put my finger on it. I agree Neil, hot hatches and B roads are a brilliant match, I could also fit my band gear in the car easier, along with my friends. I'd be saving money on the car, on insurance and on running costs and In reality I'd be having just as much fun. I Hate how common type R's have become tho and the Z gains a lot more attention/respect on the road. I've got some serious thinking to do.
  11. I'm moving into a new flat in the city center next month, its right next to my office for work and In a really nice area overlooking the tyne and the quayside. It really is nice and I'm pretty excited about it. Anyway, I'm still faced with the problem of not knowing what to do with my car. I was planning on putting it up for sale tonight but after the drive home I'm finding it very hard to do. I've just found out my company will be removing our targets/bonus and be increasing our basic wage. The wage is rumoured to go up substantially but as of yet the management has kept everything quiet. So basically I'm left with a couple of choices, sell up and buy an EP3 with the change, pay off my debt with the remaining money and be comfortable financially and in a nice new flat. Or keep a hold of the 350Z and wait it out, see what happens with my wage and be a little bit hard up in the mean time. My main worry is if anything crops up that needs doing on the Z I will struggle to get the money together to sort it and thats not a nice position to be in. I've got to be honest I've been toying with the idea of going back to a type R for a while now anyway, In some ways I prefered that car. Looking at them is softening the blow a little http://www.pistonhea...--2004/1763790# What do you think? I still have KW coilovers and a AEM air filter lying about from my old type r too, so I have the added bonus of being able to mod it straight away. This is really doing my head in, been thinking about this all day!!!
  12. I just fear getting out of my street more than anything , it was a complete nightmare last year and that was in a little fiesta. You guys must all live down south or something because last year it snowed for a good few weeks solid up here and it's supposed to be even worse this year?
  13. Where would be a good place to pick up some winter tyres? Could I get em second hand? After a quick search online it looks like it would actually be cheaper to buy a little banger for a few month. I could garage the Z, declare it offroad and change over my insurance, no doubt I'd get a refund on my insurance too as the run about would be lower risk. Might seem a little over the top but I've been hit through no fault of my own twice in the winter, my civic was ruined because of it. I live in newcastle and we tend to get the snow pretty bad, it's meant to be bad this year again too.
  14. This will be my first winter with the Z and I'm not sure what to do for the best. Whats does everyone else do? Is this car useable in standard form in the snow? Or are some form of winter tyres a must? I've been considering just putting it in the garage and buying a really cheap run about for the winter :/
  15. Yea I need to seal mine. It looked good for about two days but then the misted look started to come back. I'm going to order something to seal it with now. Actually on another detailing note, does anyone know if I can buy anything to tidy up the black rubber trim that surrounds the windows etc? Mine has started to fade and go white in places, must be something I can do to freshen them up?
  16. First thing I'd be doing is taking it to a local specialist to have them look over it, forget the main dealers.
  17. Well priced! silver is the best colour anyway
  18. Meh, the posts in that forum seem fair enough to me, 35 different threads is a bit weird haha. Nice car tho, enjoy it mate and I hope you have a garage for it, I wouldn't fancy leaving that out on the street very much.
  19. Got the link for your posts? Maybe some of us would like to read x2
  20. The megs stuff worked an absolute treat, took less than 10 minutes and both of the headlights look much better! Happy days.
  21. Awesome, that gives me something to do this morning! Thanks
  22. I've just found some megs metal polish in my garage and I'm sure I've read somewhere that this stuff can be used to sort out the headlights, mine are very misty looking. I have tried searching but couldn't find much on the subject, will this stuff work? How do I go about doing it? Cheers!
