  1. DO NOT BUY AN S2000 from a honda dealership!!! Unless you want to have your eyes ripped out. I came very close to being ripped off by honda in sunderland, 9,900 for a 03 average mile AP1 s2000, the car was beautiful and it was the only one anywhere near me and after test driving I put a deposit down. Once checking the market out fully I realized the car was worth about 6,000 max.
  2. To be fair no one buys a petrol eating 3.5 V6 to chug around in the slow lane..... At least no one that I know does anyway.
  3. I struggle to get 300 mile to a tank!! Most of my miles are sat in traffic on the way to work and back mind, then on the weekend I tend to drive it a little enthusicsticly on some local country roads. I sometimes wonder while I'm sat in traffic on a monday morning if theres any point in owning a car like this. Normally come the weekend it all makes sense.
  4. £700 for your age is VERY cheap Oh and good luck getting 30mph
  5. Er, not quite... It's only 160 mile round trip and he's doing three trips a week. He can probably do two trips per tank if he's lucky, so assuming there are four weeks in a month, that's 12 trips a month, so six tanks of fuel a month. Let's say £100 / tank, so that's £600 / month on fuel, plus a bit more because really there's 30/31 days in a month, plus tyres, servicing, wear and tare, depreciation, car parking costs, etc... call it £800 / month MAX. But also, when I was at Uni we were only really there for 8 months of the year, so £800 x8 = £6,400 / year on costs?.. Probably about right with that kind of mileage... I still say sod the car and live there, even if living is more expensive - you'll have a great time and make some brilliant friends. Oops! I thought it was 160 mile to get there haha! Still, it aint gonna be cheap!
  6. Just doing the maths here.... One trip there and back is likely to use a full tank of fuel if not more at about £90, 3X a week = £1080.00 a month And thats being optimistic, it will probably take more than a full tank to get there and back!!
  7. I work full time and struggle a little with the finances involved of running a Z sometimes. Normally this forum would be full of people telling the OP to keep the car but in this instance it doesn't make any sense, unless you or you're parents are loaded in which case why are you driving a Z anyway?
  8. Yea you'll get a lot of that. A girlfriend of one of my mates just bought a 1.6 mini and has been telling everyone "this is much faster than Richies 350Z" Errrrm, firstly it's not, secondly what are you trying to prove you daft bint?

    Fuel

I stick to shell V power religiously, tho I have no idea if it is as important as people make out. I just don't want to find out so follow what everyone else does haha.....
  10. Might not be to everyones taste but there's a massive car cruise/meet happening today in Newcastle, any other Z owners going to be there by any chance??
  11. With all due respect if you own a 350Z and don't know these things are a complete joke you should probably be driving a saxo or something.
  12. I find the TC seems to put me in more dodgy situations than it prevents to be honest. Mine tends to make a big song and dance about nothing.....
  13. Just have to share this with you guys! Just drove past my local auto park and caught a glimpse of a blue 350Z. Naturally I had to pop in to check it out. It was in average condition, had the Z missing off the rear badge and a few minor marks on the bodywork, it had done 60,000 miles and was on a 05 plate. It was up for £11,000 I mean, I know these places can be a bit extortionate but that is just crazy isn't it? Some poor sods going to get his eyes ripped out for that. I paid 6,000 for a one in better nick with lower miles and only one year older. Just had to share with you lot, I felt like giving the dealer a slap when he asked me "you interested?" Errrmmm not at that price Im not you crazy fool.
  14. I wouldn't say that...if all you want in some noise then a back box for under 400 quid is money welt spent tbh! Believe it or not some people think the Z is fast enough standard After 2 months of ownership it feels pretty slow to me, maybe I need to drive a 1.2 for a little while to appreciate it!! haha.
  15. Oh and that RX7 is SEXY as hell. Love those cars man, just too much of a gamble to buy one.
  16. I think the Z is a right pain in the arse to drive in normal conditions as well to be honest. Clutch is super heavy and its a pain in traffic. The gearbox is absolutely nothing on the one my standard EP3 type R had too, that thing was really nice to shift. Still, the Z looks way better and is still a great fun car to drive at a bit of pace. To be honest I think I'll have an AP1 s2000 by the end of the year tho
  17. Pretty pointless just changing the backbox in my opinion, you're not gonna get the full effect of sound or power wise doing that. There is an exhaust section on this forum too, you will find out any info you need by checking it out.
  18. Im considering declaring the car off road for the winter and buying a 300 quid banger to get me to work and back. Really don't fancy the stress of driving the Z in the snow, especially if the weathers as bad as it was last year.
  19. Thats nothing mate. Get some pictures up of the rest of the car. I presume its a private sale?
  20. My car Jerks and pulls and generally drives like crap with the traction control on whilst driving enthusiasticly. I thought that was normal to be honest. Its much better without the traction control on.
  21. They look smart mate, thats exactly the look Im going for, modded but classy! PM me a price Also according to this website I can have rotas with tyres for a grand. http://www.madmotors.co.uk/alloy-wheels/rota/18.html Doesn't mention what tyres mind
  22. I've just noticed that two of my front tyres are starting to run out of tread on the inside of the tyres, my wheels could also do with a refurb. This is starting to look like a good excuse to buy a new set of rims all together. I have a few questions, will 18's look lost on my car? Or will they fill the arches ok? I'm planning on lowering the car soon anyway, anything 19" onwards starts getting very expensive and frankly I can't afford that. Edit... I've just found somewhere that does wheel + tyre packages, I really like the Rota GTRs but notice they do them in various offsets and sizes. What is the best combo to go for here? Purely for looks! I'd love to see some pics of silver Z's on rotas if anyone has any
  23. Can I see some pictures of them on your car? Im in the market for some new wheels and Im interested in these but like some have said, i'm slightly put off by the colour.
