  1. I’m not a writher type man (Portuguese) more a reader… but after some years (since 2004) reading about the Z I realize that the forums are a two way street and I´m going to make an effort to give my view of the Z game. I want to give to you all my thanks and a special one to the forum because somehow I find our forum a safe place to be around, like home. The truth is that the usa forums have a lot more information but here I find it more accurate and friendly. This has been my family forum for a long time. OLD picture Well you all know that I have bought in 2004 a new Z and put aside the beavers and unfortunately for my wallet I realize that it was a passion car (forget the quality and stuff, I have a bmw 635d and I don’t look at it twice, you know what I’m talking about) So I start to mess around and this are my mods right now: Complete 5.1 cinema alpine system (new head up display with internet) Rear led tail lights Diy headlights and Front led side markers original from japan nismo rear spoiler Alcantra steering wheel and seats with nismo logo 370Z nismo 19inch wheels with 275 and 245 Michelin Supersports R35 gtr 6pot brakes (really big and beautiful on the Z) Vortech V3 supercharger with intercooler and 3.12 vortech pulley (will I need a 2.87?) 550cc injectors Diy stage ?? fuel setup with Tomei fuel regulator and OEM rail machined GT Maf Snow performance water/methanol stage 3 efi Racing heaters without cats (mot? Don’t ask) Diy oil catch can setup Some minor stuff like gauges, caps and stuff Ok now for the rebuild part After some problems with the oil catch can breathing a lot I take a compression test and realize that the 4º and 6º cylinder was too weak almost 1/3 comparing to all the others, so I now had an excuse to open the engine and see what’s happening. And here we are… Take some time researching for what will I need and this is my selection: Cosworth Pistons rings and head gaskets CPR10:3 Brian crowler Rods +280.000psi i think its the toughest Brian crowler springs ARP studs ACL bearings Crankshaft fluidamper Rev up Oil pump This weekend I’m going to open it and hopefully update this tread Feel free to comment my building
  2. not yet but work in progress have some new stuff ready to solve the problem. new forged stuff eheheheheh i think i´m going to make a build tread now...
  3. and... a tunning cause you will run allot rich
  4. i made myself all the fuel return system. its like a stage 2 and all that you need is a new pump and a new regulator. search the forums and go to jim wolf tecnologies site, its all there!
  5. this should be a case study "not to do"
  6. we all love it one way or another ...
  7. same history but in reverse.... eheheh sold my fast diesel beaver for my loved Z i think you take a step back my friend
  8. i´M LOOKING FOR ONE MYSELF... ready for a group buy.
  9. he is guilty anyway... shooting someone so dam hot is always a crime
  10. ok the efficiency peak was the variation that was annoying me. i should only take in consideration the max rpm of the blower ?
  11. Have a good read through this thread and I'm sure you'll find all the answers. Link: http://my350z.com/fo...-questions.html Hope that helps. thanks but e read it like 1000 times
  12. in that case if i install a 2.62 pulley i will be exactly with 53.000rpm on the V3 at 7.000rpm. but the max efecciency of the V3 will be at 5250rpm. what i will see is a decrase in power curve after 5250rpm but still adding power! Right?
  13. help me out guys i´m going to rebuild my engine and i´m now considering the vortech pulley sizes. my question is: if i want a linear power curve and reach the max power at 7.000rpm i will have to stay with the 3.12 pulley? this is my calculations: if my V-3 has a peak efficiency of 75% and a max 53.000 rpm i guess that the max efficiency is reached at 39.750rpm and so the max efficiency is reached at 6252 rpm theoretically after the 6252rpm i will see a power drop on the dyno? my question is: what happens after after peak efficiency is reached? the pulleys just oscillate the power on the rpms curve? do i need a smaller pulley? in my calculations the smaller pulley will be allot far from the peak efficiency! does it matter?
  14. I think you misunderstand, I meant if you add a small amount of oil to each cylinder, and conduct the test again you could end up with a different reading because oil will help ring seal, so if its a bad valve seal the reading for those cylinders will remain low. ok i get it now.. yep i could do it next time
  15. a man that do not know the beautiful thinks in live.
  16. first 2 were just testing the machine.
