if 'no fault' then let an accident managment company handle the claim - regardless of cost your car won't be written off and the cost of a courtesy car is claimed against the third party
if you let the insurance company assess it and they label it a write off then that marker will stick with the car even if you decide to go down the AM route later
personally got couple of oem compression bushes from clarks for around £70 iirc and had them fitted at local nissan dealer for £100 #
nissan only supply the complete arm - not the bush - for around £400 per side iirc
replacing my centre console - just can't seem to pull the top of the existing console away from the rest of the dashboard to remove
tried pulling towards myself at various points - wont budge
any ideas?
had to replace my split compression arm bushes - nissan only supply/fit the complete arms so purchased couple of oem nissan bushes from clark ms and had them fitted at local nissan for, iirc, around £100
total - around £160
FYI
'cam shaft position sensor' - had this problem last week - came up as P1078 on diagnostic + engine management light
EM light stayed on most of the time (even with code reset) - occasionally went off but came back - faulty exhaust sensor (only on GT4 version) - replaced - all good now...
pickup a elm obd2 dongle from ebay - hook up to an android phone and you can view diagnostic code history
pays for itself - personally saved me £70 this week in nissan diagnostic fees this week - just paid to have the faulty part fitted
spent 30 on full alignment at local nissan garage when had new bridestone boots fitted all round
well worth it if to avoid prematurely trashing expensive rubber
it's these basics that get skimped on to save a few quid....
