  1. got a quote for fixing this - is there anything else they can replace while taking the thing apart?
  2. iirc supermarkets based claims always go 50/50 blame - so you'd end up shelling out anyway personally hate supermarket car parks - nightmare to have to strategically park the Z every time I drive into them so many variables to account for - having to 'think' for others incompetence/indifference...
  3. check tyre pressures and oil level every couple of weeks minimal maintenance car - lovin it...
  4. you've got an 80 litre tank - thats plenty for most situations
  5. live on one of the steepest hills in my city - have to pull handbrake to maximum everytime park and check efficacy by briefly rocking back and forth - no doubt to amusement of any onlookers - but rather that then an expensive insurance claim additonally park the car as per instruction manual - ie wheels pointing and put in gear
  6. nice colour contrast - never liked the standard door handle colour it's one of the things that attracted me to my GT4. http://www.350z-uk.c...20#entry1066649
  7. just the LH panel - the blank version (see photo) - ta
  8. question... are the 350z steering wheels the same across all all years/models?
  9. TBH can't see the point of an overloaded HU when smartphones completely duplicate/dominate their functionality ie MP3, satnav etc...
  10. yep... 'The XSP-N1BT has a clamping system that holds a wide range of smartphones in the dash and provides charging capability via a USB cable. However, newer Sony Xperia phones with the magnetic connector can charge without a cable. 12. nada for first year - new tyres/disk/pads all round on purchase... ...then BAM - £800 - tyres all round other then that quite pleased - just the tax/insurance/fuel, disks/pads still meaty and no mot advisories minimal maintanance, reliable jap muscle car - lovin it LOT better exp than previous car....
  13. so dated looking - your 'dads' car
  14. polished - yes chicks don't know what it is anyway but it looks expensive whens it cleaned up
  15. tried a nismo gt (black rubber version) shifter last week - no comparison - far too small imo this shifter really improves one of the least pleasant aspects of the 350z - changing gears...
  16. was looking at m3's before the z - servicing costs put me off you don't get as much for your money as the z's and i'm not interested in the badge...
  17. sweetknobs.com via ebay - currently listed as 'Solid Stainless Steel Ball Shift Knob, Weighted' - made in the USA took a couple of weeks to arrive iirc no issues fitting (you just screw it on) aside from taking the oem one off (lots of guides on here to do it safely) oh, and you'll need to retain the brass ring when you pull the oem shifter off (it is in fact just steel underneath the brass coating) - from the pictures you'll see that i've fine sanded the brass coating off the ring to match the shifter (5 mins job) - it hides the tapered gap left there without it more pics here... http://www.350z-uk.c...t/#entry1155107 10mm X 1.25
  18. just passed it's mot - good job it rained heavily last night great - means i don't have to potentially wash it for another 12 months now...
  19. typical 350z owner demographic profile? ...oh yeah, and shes a lot thirstier than that
  20. only washed mine twice in 12 months - heavy UK shower does the trick every few weeks - saves me a job - car still looks good regardless looking at the mot rules - nothing about failing because it's 'dirty' - just have to make sure the number plates/headlights are 'visible'
  21. really functional, weighted (nearly 500g) design...
  22. oh, no, being tempted back... any prepping? - ariel?, side windows?
