  1. good luck with that - bought 3 boosters ranging from 400A to a supposed 1000A - all crap - wouldn't crank the Z only thing that would crank a totally dead Z was the 'power start 700' (PS-700)
  2. scrub that - 400a didn't work 2ns time - must have been luck first time round fyi breakdown guys ran around with power start 700 new oem battery now fitted...
  3. cheers zmanalex the clutch is now working again ie there is resistance, it springs back - as recommended, i physically lifted the clutch pedal and it locked into the up position (although still offering no resistance at this point) - left it a while and the resistance came back - i can now select the gears when depressing the clutch (while the engine is off) the battery is still flat and awaiting a booster with a bit more grunt to get me down to the garage where a new OEM battery awaits BTW whats the recommended minimum amp required to jump start?
  4. only other occasion when the clutch pedal hasn't returned is when the clutch fluid boiled there has been no problems with gear/clutch and serviced 2 weeks ago problem only occurred today when parked on hill as usual (reverse selected and powered down) - at which point clutch was up the clutch appears to have dropped whilst parked and within about an hour of parking obviously since unable to start car at moment due to flat battery - assumed they were related
  5. Is there another reason why I can't select gear and the clutch will not raise?
  6. ok, parked on hill (pointing downwards), reverse gear selected and engaged, clutch pedal fully depressed (wont' come backup up) currently unable to start car due to battery flat (separate issue) BUT clutch won't release the currently reverse gear selection as it's already depressed it must be somehow related to the battery issue
  7. the clutch works fine - the battery died and clutch depressed assume its something to do with the battery
  8. the clutch is depressed - it won't come back up and the battery is dead jumping makes it lurch slightly forward when boosted - but won't start still suspect the booster needs override switched on for extra grunt
  9. tried a couple of times but will have to override booster safety to start next time worried about the depressed clutch (cant disengage) anyone?
  10. isn't 'chrome' shiny? wouldn't call them that colour code anyone? - seen 'shadow chome' mentioned on the net
  11. having said that... had a fight with a scirocco recently kept behind me well enough (with a lot of revving on his part) and overtook me as I backed off and pulled in sadly though it appeared as if it went into 'limp' mode shortly afterwards as I drove past it further up oh dear... the Z had a little clutch burn - but survived
  12. not a 'point and squirt' car - let it go
  13. 350z pretty stable in my experience - weight helps - haven't aquaplaned as yet iirc the steering also reduces in sensitivity as your speed increases... ...in other words the 350z is designed for speed
  14. Nisan GT4 OEM wheels coloured Kuro black Paint is bubbling/breaking off
  15. had the fronts done free gratis due to garage 'incident' and they did a good job - just the face of the wheel was done - took a couple of hours and drove off thought i'd get the rears done - quoted £80 per wheel this reasonable for a mobile service?

    Is it a Zonda?

    had the porsche comment
  17. ironically, this is one of the reasons i bought a zed, its cheap, replaceable with a bit of grunt ive had so much damage to my cars in the past - multiple hit and runs, garages etc
  18. love the low maintenance on these cars - so well engineered you only have to lift the bonnet or pull a cover off something to see how well it's put together and that's even more prominent even after years of use when compared to other brands i've seen after just a couple of years
  19. always a risk but confident if you stick to oem oil/service intervals 200k+ is doable ...but used means you never know exactly whats happened to the car
  20. yeah - currently use these (drilled+grooved) + ebc redstuff - no problems with contiously using this combo over 3 years now
  21. seen a few on ebay - usually plain noname discs and mintex pads anybpdy have any opinion/experience of these?
  22. also had he diesel question suspect they want the car....but in diesel version seriously?
  23. looks like been pressed quite hard and the points between the perferations have split buy some used ones off ebay quite cheaply
  24. mines standard - also 90k - very low mot emissions also makes a change from the last car i owned - needed a new cat every 2 years to get through the mot
