Shortly after i got my 350 i posted about a trip i took to catch up with a friend, a, b and m roads and was pleasantly surprised at how well it dealt with all of them, personally i feel the 350 is much more than just a gt car, it does everything well and there in lies it biggest attribute for me! Stick in on a track and it will hold its own, of course it wont be faster than a Vx thats designed for that kind of work, but in general its a very very capable car, not just a cruiser imho!

There have been plenty of footballers with issues, Joey Barton being another that stands out, they still seem to be bought though!

The question is often asked on many forums, what car would you have for "x", unless the figure increased quite substantially i would still have a 350, there are many other cars i would like, but dont think they would tick as many boxes for me. I do agree with forum rose tinted glasses though, so many times on the Rx7 forum discussions over things like Gallardos, Astons, Posrches etc etc everyone would say, wouldnt have them i prefer my Rx7, lol. Put a Gallardo on my drive and the Zed would go without a moments hesitation. But with the budget currently available to me, there isnt a car i would prefer, otherwise i would have it

Replace "engine" with "weight" Thing is it's not that heavy for a modern car. Sure it's no Elise but it weighs around the same as my mk 4 golf that it replaced and has double the power output. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I agree, depends on definitions i guess. Discounting anything sub a ton, i would consider most things up to 12 - 1300 ish light for a road car. Mine weighed with sub box and amp and weighty 19's, 1450kg, get rid of that jazz & 18's and its down to 1400kg, hardly GTR territory at 1750kg ish, now thats a heavy car and will still be as fast or faster than most supercars!

I caught the half time chat on the France game last night and they were discussing the state of English football, one thing they all agreed on was sadly the English players are probably just too honest for their own good and dont know how to "play" in european and world tournaments. Instead of riding a tackle they should just go down etc Whilst Suarez is in a different league entirely, foreign teams/players all know how to con the ref, its sad this is now football, but if you cant beat them, you might as well join them!

I played golf last night with a life long Fulham supporter (we all have a cross to bear), i never really followed Hodgson much but he said he was the same at Fulham, he fielded what he thought to be his best team game after game, even if they were loosing, speaks volumes i guess I would really have thought at that level a manager would be be savvy enough to play each individual side based on their particular strong points and be able to 1) field a team best suited and 2) set the side up in which ever formation nullified the oppositions strengths (where ever possible) You only have to cast your eye at the shambles that is English cricket at the moment, get rid of the best player to keep the captain happy although he is in shockingly bad form and a poor decision maker and make way for a previous manager whos track record was sh*t! Maybe this is the whole problem with England, two many old duffers in the background not willing to move with the times and stick to the old guard!!

Plenty of alternatives to the two above, Federal Rsrs, Nankang N2SR, AD48's. Very happy with Federals especially considering the price, they didnt break loose under acceleration on a 500hp Rx7 i owned and wore very well too and considering they are half the price of 888's its a no brainer for me Just bought a set of Nankangs so will let you know what they are like which are available with two different compound choice

Never show off in front of an audience, saw some pretty horrific "incidents" during my motor bike days at various meets. Worse ever was at Odiham where a dude thought he could wheelie, came off a roundabout, stuck in the back wheel and promptly put it into the crowd!

Agree with coldel re: that article, a lot of payers get better and better in the Premiership, the most expensive player int he world wasnt getting a start for Portsmouth not that long ago ....... Likewise, if Suarez, Ven Persie and Aguerro can develop in the Premiership then theres no reason why the homegrown lads cant either. Because they dont fit and are made cheaply, they require man hours to get them right! Just make sure the savings you make dont outweigh the fitment issues/work needed, even originals will need some work. All depends how anal you are, if you want it like oem it will cost £'s

1 goal (scored last night) is not enough to warrant an automatic start imho, he most likely has the most goals in qualifying because he plays the most games (guessing)? Time after number Rooney starts, but doesnt deliver in the games that count, what do you suggest, we keep playing him till he retires as he might come good? Do we want to win or just play Rooney as he is our "best" striker? And if he is the best striker, why is he played out of position? Regardless of individuals we lost to Italy, we werent good enough, we had to win this game, we cant keep just playing the same players with the same strategy, we need to adapt, players, team and management, make some bold choices, too much safe bets all round!
