No one wants to question the decision, just a informative statement as to who is banned and why (in brief), thread locked end of. I also highly doubt banned members are given notice of an impending ban to "clear their desk" allowing them free reign to send abusive pm's, posts etc etc

No one is asking for "justification" of your actions, seems like there is a lot of paranoia in that comment. I am sure we all appreciate the job of mod/admin is a thankless one, but issues such as this just imho create a divide between members and "the team", the information we are asking for is harmless and informative, how can that be so bad?

Sounds pretty cheap to me for a multi stage paint process including specialist paint, regardless of what you want to pay I got quoted similar for just base and clear on a new hr bonnet.

It seems to be the way of the world (particularly in the US), everyone wants to apportion blame onto someone else, have you had an accident at work have you been hurt in a road accident blah blah blah there is no accounting for, have you had an accident at work because you were reading a text and not paying attention, perhaps hungover from the night before (probably sill drunk) etc Sure its fair to ask the question, but in reality, what can you expect when said car hits a tree at 90mph+, no one is to blame apart from the driver imho, unless it was mechanical failure that caused the crash. I am not sure how Porsche can test for such a scenario, it would be impossible to test under the exact circumstances, impact speed, angle of impact, condition of car etc Maybe you could say some fire prevention measures could be incorporated, good idea, but if that part had literally gone awol amongst the other debris, what good would that be if it was going off some 100 yards away from the car? Petrol and a spark wont ever be a good combination and its simply unavoidable if the worst case scenario happens, which is exactly how i view the above. Is this not the question that is being asked though, the impact did not kill him, the fire did? By no means playing devils advocate here, to me, this was an accident and a freak set of circumstances that led to the fire, no manufacturer can test every possible scenario of a crash as you say. Its tragic and massively unfortunate, digging it all up though will do no good to Meadow and her future life though imho.

Most other forums I have been on will issue something to say, who has been banned and why, it never contains exacting details just the circumstances, I.e continued use of bad language, threats to other members, fraudulent activity etc and the post was locked to comment. I see no need for the whole secret squirrel thing, it stops the whole he said she said and draws a line under any questions surrounding the ban/suspension.

I thought all cars were in some way "tuned/detuned" to coincide with emissions test rpm level. As in my first post, rx7's had an air pump that would engage to suck air into the exhaust to meet emissions regs.
