  1. The story evolves, dumping a worn 50k clutch in 6th at 5k and coasting down hills and releasing it is not going to do it any favours you could have pushed it over the edge, best you or dad dont tell the garage this
  2. Drive up there and call his bluff if you think he is telling porkies, why is that risky?
  3. White one looks great from the front, but its not the front your worried about, the rear is just to angular to work with that swoopy, curvy front, almost looks like the wrong part of the kit, the do luck looks much better. Also seem to remember there was a dude who put the amuse kit on that forged twin turbo and said fitment was shocking so choose your supplier carefully. Oh and another reason the white one looks stunning, awesome awesome rims
  4. Personal opinion is, would look great on a strippec out focussed track car, but on the road it just looks out of place.
  5. Have you tried actual metal polish
  6. There is no guarantee they will pass I am afraid.
  7. Without stating the obvious I guess there is a very real reason why F1 has gone small capacity turbo and hopefully the advancement in tech will filter down, gone are the days of strapping truck turbos to a lump just for hp
  8. Save yourself the trouble, mot it first, then fit, just in case
  9. Better as in, tech, not weight, you wouldnt have been putting 300hp through the front wheels of 5gt turbo with much success
  10. Also not forgetting everything gets better to allow for the bigger hp, diffs, gearboxes, suspension and tyres. Would be useless if you couldnt put the power to the road. The drivers of the world are a small % of the marketplace, going back to the 86 as its probably the most likely recent contender to lightweight, rwd, fine chassis etc, would it have sold in the numbers they hoped if it was cheaper?
  11. Wasnt there a base model at 12k in Japan also, mind you Gtr was £32k at launch in Japan. You can use the revs as much as you want, but 200bhp and 150ft lb of torque is all you ever going to have and that will get you no where fast
  12. Isnt that the issue with it, its a back road scratcher, shouldnt that be reserved for the track and to make it something decent for the road, it needs more oomph for overtakes etc? And then it becomes not what it was designed for.
  13. Is that a surprise to you on an ice owners club forum? Your sole contribution is ev, your in the wrong place
  14. The problem as Toyota/Subaru have probably found out with the 86 is, however much call there was for a lightweight sports car, the motoring masses want power and comfort with all the trimmings, electric leather etc not lightweight and fine handling, i dont believe is was the sales success they hoped.
  15. This was the op of the hot hatch when they first hit our streets, Golfs, Pugs, Gt Turbos etc, they were there to wave a finger at more exotic machinery and not sure anything has changed Folk dont necessarily modify just to make them faster, but to make them individual, we pour loads of money into our zeds just for aesthetics, your never really going to make one any faster unless you go fi. How often does anyone go from 0-60 anyway, its just for pub bragging rights. We all know the 350 can be embarrassed by hot hatches, as has been discussed many times and if that bothers you, your driving the wrong car
  16. Can we have an EV section for gangzoom and can Tesla be added into the swear filter please
  17. Same as this one? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100532-ings-lx-sport-rear-spoiler/
  18. The manufacturers are being forced because of tightening emissions regs targets they have to meet across their ranges, personally if they chuck out ev stuff to allow full fat stuff to exist i am all for it But "interesting" it is not, sure you keep posting on the wrong forum by mistake Let me make some recommendations for you: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/ https://speakev.com/ http://www.ecocarforum.com/ Or are they all as dull as the cars themselves so you thought you would keep posting here to enjoy being a cat amongst pigeons
  19. I am sure they accept the vote, doesnt mean they have to agree with it. If they are widly out of touch with supporter base or lack respect they are best gone then, win win for Labour and Jeremy. Guess we shall see how widldy out of touch they are come next election. Cant say he has started well with his promise of 50% split in his cabinet. It was also the unions who supported his campaign and it didnt really work out well for the previous union choice, what was his name, Ed something.
  20. Blah blah blah blah We are not in your world now, tax wont even come into it, it may make total sense, but, if you want a supercar you buy a supercar, not an ev. I would bet my left nut there isnt one person on this planet who thought, i really want that "ferrari, lambo, aston, porsche or any other exotica" but f*ck it, i want to offset my tax so will buy a Tesla If you can afford one of the above, you wont care a toss, your not buying it because it makes sense, in fact, quite the opposite. I am chuffed to bits you enjoyed your test drive and it was all you expected Is that why all the stars were driving Prius's when they first came out? Plenty of people that could afford a £120k car will probably buy a Tesla just because they can... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Stars were driving Prius for the "look at me saving the planet image" and it was trendy. Its like the Richard Branson tweet about saving the artic, to which was replied, you own an airline company you mad c*nt, hypocrisy at its very best. I didnt say people wouldnt buy a Tesla, what i said was, they will not choose a Tesla, for tax purposes or any other reason over a "insert exotica of choice here"
  21. I am presuming the information we have or use here is what we have heard via the media, the media seem to suggest the mp's vote for him was very weak, so why would the mp's who are "throwing their toys out the pram" hang around for a party leader whos views/policies they dont agree with and more over someone who they think will damage the party? I think the biggest surprise is that an mp has the integrity to follow their believes, not blindly back a leader they have no faith in.
