I think mine took about 5 litres when I replaced the washer pump and dumped it all out. Could it just be a blockage in the filler pipe - you got something long and thin you could probe it with?

My y-pipe just touched the w brace, so we adjusted the w brace with a hammer and made a few MMs extra clearance. Stopped the rattling and it's only deformed very slight (a few mil) in a very small area (a few cm squared).

I might be missing the point, but which cars have even had a closed off run of the IOM TT circuit? I could say no one has ever run my 3 mile route around Kirkham B Roads faster than me in my zed. But it wouldn't count for much if no one else has ever had a crack at it

It's testament to the huge care and devotion you chaps put into projects, that you get pangs of guilt for not doing the occasional highly technical job yourselves! Many of us mortals have no qualms using a professional to do an oil change or just buy toolboxes from a shop
