  1. My blood is too thick for Nevada, I've never been able to properly explain myself in this climate.
  2. Read Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas before you go too, it's sort of a manual of how to approach the place. Is there a Medieval Times in Vegas? I've always wanted to go since I watched Cable Guy
  3. I stayed at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. I liked it because it's extremely well appointed and it had no casino, so reception and food areas are quite chic and very peaceful. It is joined to the Manadalay Bay so in two minutes walk in AC goodness you're in the Casino, but it's not all over you when you come and go. Also, being part of Manadalay Bay you get access to the best pool in Vegas with genuine sand brought in from California (best quality ) Only drawback is it's at one end of the strip, not the middle, but that can be viewed as a positive or a negative depending on your needs. Wherever you stay, go to the Double Down bar and have some shots of ass juice. Amazeballz. Also, rent a convertible and drive to Grand Canyon, bus tours are for gringos.
  4. Unlucky mate, GLWTS and good luck getting back to Zed when the time is right.
  5. Cheers Dblock, BM, makes sense. I wondered if there was another technical reason I'd missed.
  6. I'm considering some winters, but I don't get buying winter rims to go with them. Is it purely for the ease at which you can change tyres at home as temp fluctuates or simply to protect your summer rims from salty roads? Is there another reason I haven't considered?
  7. There's been an upgrade from the daisy wheel?
  8. Interesting. I can appreciate it's to protect the engine and, as you say Tricky Ricky, if peak power/torque has been achieved then it makes perfect sense to shift up - as you're on a hiding to nothing. Anyone know if it is a soft (computer controlled) or hard (mechanical gizmo) limit? I'm guessing if it can be removed then it's an ECU setting (so soft). If it's mechanical I'd love to know how it works. Everyday is a school day.
  9. Is bouncing off the limiter a big no no? Not that I do it, I'm just curious to learn what exactly happens when you do, and why it's bad.
  10. They love a few morning checks round my way this time of year, and I was duly waved down in their favourite spot which is on my route to work. You don't need to be Stephen Hawking to figure which roads not to take to avoid the "random" checks here. Anyway, I rarely drink mid week so was totally clear, not that it mattered, as the copper simply asked, "Had a drink last night Sir?", to which I replied, "Not a drop" and he said, "Ok, on your way". Very civilised I thought.
  11. I'm getting all tempted by the giacuzzo boot spoiler right now...
  12. Best go fast so you get back quick before it runs out.
  13. Just got mine in the big Santa Sportz Sale, nit had a chance to get fitted yet, look mate.
  14. Just some ideas, I did a few of these in Switzerland this summer. Ace. http://www.ultimatedrives.net/top-10-roads/index.php
  15. I think that video broke my gag reflex.
  16. If they're only tiny swirls a pro detailer with a rotary should be able to shift, no? Cheaper than a respray by a few quid. As for goodies, it's a hugely personal thing but I currently like: Car Wash: Meguiars Hyperwash Cleanser/Polish: the three stage system Dan mentioned is solid, I just used mine up and looking to try something new (purely for experiments sake). I also read a good review on here about the Farecla system too, but not tried yet. Wax/Sealant: I'm getting all worked up with Poorboys Liquid Natty's Blue right now And anything in between: a glaze possibly, might hide some of those lighter issues you mentioned. I like Poorboys White Diamond but for your black I'd assume their Black Hole glaze is more appropriate. A quick detailer too wouldn't hurt. I've also had a tip on chemical guys stuff too, but yet to try them. There's loads out there without spending a fortune, just read the instructions before you start rubbing away and probably add a clay bar to your shopping list If you don't have one, and some lube. Have fun and if in doubt, ask first also, watch some videos too, this guy rules: http://www.ammonyc.com/videos/ Check out the top 10 detailing mistakes one first!

    Brembo pads

Check out: http://clarkmotorsport.net I'm sure you'll find them. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure when my tech fitted the shims on my ferrodos they just stuck on the pad, may well be the same for Brembos. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along to confirm. Try Tarmac and Cougar Store for other pad options too, all three are fine traders on here.
  18. Must be the fan pulley, that's a kind of wheel right
  19. Thanks Daryl. That came along after I got the V1, not that I'm unhappy with the V1, I love the front end now. Well, I will if I get round to a bulge bonnet The Mine's is ace though, stop looking and go for it mate!
  20. No, I was after a Mine's but couldn't face the price. It's a V1 from Tarmac Sportz.
  21. I'd take those blue two tones on my GM, don't care if I don't have Azure!
  22. They look but that open container of sticky liquid INSIDE THE ZED gives me the fear
  23. For my GM I'd like black bolsters and ice white centres. Along the lines of May I also have the doors and dash and centre consol trimmed off in white learher too?
