  1. FWIW I found that grease applied liberally here achieved a result From this one of the many guides http://m.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428639 This has made the noise stop for me, but as it's off you may as well get the splines greasy too. Some have reported the clicking returning, but IMHO I think that's down to your choice of grease. I used this stuff and have had a few thousand click free miles since. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DEWYJYO/ref=pe_385721_37038051_pe_217191_31005151_3p_M3T1_dp_1 You won't need it all, but for £7, who cares. For the costs involved, I would definitely try this before you commit to anything else your tech suggests.good luck.
  2. Amazeballs is like sooooo 2012, I'm predicting 2014 will be the year of awesomenutz.
  3. I'm not convinced by her wash technique. Work one panel at a time and don't leave so many suds on other areas, if they start to evaporate it'll leave a gash finish.
  4. Yay. I'm a Blackpool Zed, don't see many round here and the last couple have been non-wavers. Boo. Get a photo down by the world's biggest disco ball at the bottom of the prom (towards St Annes). It looks like your being chased by the Death Star, if it was designed by Gok Wan. If you can get a good one near the tower fully lit up, it could be a calendar entry for 2014
  5. I have no problems round town, but it's not city driving I do personally, some brakes can be a bit squeaky at low speed and rear visibility when parking is limited I find. Reverse cam sorted that MPG isn't great round town but I didn't buy her for the fuel savings!
  6. I'm a brand snob, so I'd go Sony. But I wouldn't, I'd actually go Pioneer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-AVH-X2500BT-Tuner-inch-Touchscreen/dp/B00AAXRSRA
  7. Try SGS engineering. Plenty of us have bought theirs. http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/car-boot-tailgate/nissan/350z?gclid=CIy82978gbsCFWzItAodUHAAJg Edit: There's always someone with a faster trigger finger
  8. I got schooled on my first track day in the Zed by a 172, albeit driven by some chap with race experience and I'm a novice. It seemed very sure in the rain compared to my twitchy rear. I was just glad there were a couple of straights at Croft where I could claw a bit back. The DB9 in front was much less keen to yield to the Clio than I was.
  9. Are they proprietary?
  10. Welcome along and have a look here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/ and possibly here too http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/18-350z-faq/ Searches for "clicky axles", "boot pop", "what petrol do you use?" , will provide some reading too. Good luck with your search, with that budget you should get something quite stunning.
  11. I have OEM discs, DS2500, RBF fluid and HEL lines. Coped nicely on track, though it was a wet day so temps probably kept low.
  12. I have a Horsham which I bought for a bit of colour in the bay, but I noticed it's smoothed my idle, and also rev fall when coming off the gas.
  13. Will you lift the watermarks off?
  14. Cool Zed you had and that pic is pretty ace too. I fancy an old Mustang as a project, wanna do a "Business Trip" to a dry state in USA and find one?
  15. I just made a trouser mess. Jag have really stepped up of late, hope it pays off for them.
  16. Gave her a little wash and this oily bubble popped up on the lug, couldn't resist a quick iPhoner.
