  1. Thanks guys. She’s heading to be put in the hands of the famous Troy Ermish to be finished. The new owner is keeping in contact so I will share photos of how she looks when she’s finished and in her new home in California next year. M
  2. For those interested the Datsun sold yesterday for full asking price. Looking forward to stepping into the next car if I can find one in the Spring. Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in the restoration project. Martin
  3. Welcome . Lovely car but that gear stick . I’m working in Amsterdam this week and I see familiar things in the shop windows. Hope you aren’t keeping it..
  4. Please make sure you read your email from them. You need to print your ticket and your blue area pass . They are very strict and will not let you in without it. You also need to enter at the north gate.
  5. Only one place to go . RT performance behind Wembley stadium. Know their Zeds inside out..registered trader on here. Speak to Taras..
  6. Guys. The show gates open at 7am for club stand attendees next Sunday. I am planning to meet in the road that runs down to the right of the petrol station as you approach Brands Hatch with a few members at 7.15am. Feel free to meet us there or in the show but be aware arriving later will mean long queues. Based on previous years experience they will not let you in without your printed ticket so be aware. Looking forward to seeing you all next Sunday. Martin
  7. Good luck finding one. Wasnt one I could find anywhere in North America..
  8. Thanks Keith . Good to grab a quick catch up at the show. See you in October. M
  9. Did it on a new Lexus IS200 in 2003 and a new Audi A4 cabriolet. Sold them both to friends on the understanding part of the payment was to pay the balloon off. Guess that’s a bit unusual but worked for me. You need to keep the car pretty spotless if you are going to hand It back and move into another car as they will penalise you on any imperfections. If you look at the depreciation on a new car versus the monthly payments the maths for me say do it and change up when the term finishes. Only downside is it never really feels like it’s totally your own car.
  10. Looks like Steve did. No bacon roll for him on our grill for breakfast ion the day.
  11. It’s a big decision Andy but it won’t go for a penny less than it’s truly worth. . It’s a labour of love and I would rather find something that is complete now. There is still work I want to do to it to get it to concours but it will mean the car being off the road for lengthy periods, money and time. I’ve concluded I would rather get a finished car and just enjoy it. I have developed my mechanical brain and knowledge of cars no end so it’s been a great experience. I will still be around to fulfil my club responsibilities if she does go. Have a great Euro trip with the boys. Will catch up when you return. Drive safely all. Martin
  12. Yep. Long story but I need to spend circa £15k to get it to where I really want it and if I can get what it’s worth which is 33-34k then I have close to 50k to get something else. And I have something very much in mind… Dont ask as not telling .👀😃 I truly love the car and it won’t go unless I get what it’s worth. Its cheap given what it is and where I have got it to. it’s the only one here in the UK on the road and arguably one of the best around . if you look at the prices of 240/260zs it’s a great price.
  13. Will be a south east pub lunch in October and I’m reinstating the quarterly south east meets…
  14. Steve lives in Lindfield so may well meet us when we meet up too. He will make what you want for you. He’s a wrapper by trade..
  15. Shout if you fancy meeting up this or next weekend. I’m in Wivelsfield Green buddy.
  16. No buddy. You could do what I do. Go buy yourself a weed spreader bottle with pump action from Argos or somewhere, fill it with water and use that. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/slredirect/picassoRedirect.html/ref=pa_sp_phone_search_atf_aps_sr_pg1_1?ie=UTF8&adId=A043688383J4ILGUXD9C&url=%2FAction-Bottle-Garden-Pressure-Sprayer%2Fdp%2FB07VJJ8K9P%2Fref%3Dmp_s_a_1_1_sspa%3Fcrid%3DOXXPGL47GDV0%26keywords%3Dweed%2Bbottle%2Bsprayer%26qid%3D1661449605%26sprefix%3Dweed%2Bbottle%2Caps%2C67%26sr%3D8-1-spons%26psc%3D1&qualifier=1661449605&id=8245134353841631&widgetName=sp_phone_search_atf
  17. Worth a stretch and an offer I would say . You could get a cheaper one and find yourself spending that to get it right easily. Just my advice
  18. Totally agree. This is the car to go and get. I don’t personally know the owner so I’m not doing anyone any favours but to me it’s a no brainier given your circumstances.
  19. Welcome .where are you based ?.Photos please 👀
  20. I know I’ve been converted to the classic side of motoring but get the right one and you will have a lot of fun, and make money for a change rather than lose it. You could get a nicely sorted 240z for £40k that will be worth £50k in two years time. Just a thought.. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C752632
  21. Bigg Red stripped and rebuilt my Datsun 510 calipers recently with new pistons for £180 the pair. Did a tremendous job.
