  1. They would be CNC spindle collets for clamping tools into the spindle, I only know that due to using them everyday at work ha! Aha, cheers! Suppose I should have guessed at least CNC related with all the swarf in the background :-/
  2. Forgive the slight O/T, but what are the segmented conical shaped things at the top right of this picture, in the metal case?
  3. 2kg ribeye! Mine was ribeye too, love the flavour, but mine was only 250g. All of a sudden my manly meal feels quite childish!
  4. Kebabs delivered? Heaven! Where do you live - I'm moving there! I ate two big packets of Kettle Chips yesterday (different flavours so a varied diet, right?). Hope she comes back soon or I'll turn in to a right fatty!
  5. My Mrs is away with work tonight so I'm treating myself to a man-meal that she entirely wouldn't approve of! What's your guilty pleasure when the other half is out?
  6. +1. Wet weather performance isn't great and they're quite noisy.
  7. I'm with Brillo, 595 RS-Rs are the way to go. Had them on my M3 and they are a very good combination of performance and price and they handled the weight / power of the M3 just fine. Wear well too!
  8. Only saving grace is they cost PEANUTS to buy. None runners needing a rebuild are sub-1k. DIY engine rebuild for surprising little money,or pay a few grand to somebody, and you're laughing. Never owner one but had loan of one a few times, lack of torque takes some getting used to (as does the rev limit buzzer, which you will hear frequently if you're driving it properly), but once you adapt your style it's fine for what it is ðŸ‘
  9. Not a Z, but my brother supercharged his e46 m3. It went like a bat out of hell once completed, but he got fed up with the additional unreliability, more servicing, more fettling, paranoia about noises, etc... and sold it in the end.
  10. It looked like a fairly decent whack tbf!
  11. Think I'm struggling with the Jag a bit... :-( It's beautiful, sounds good and goes like a rocket down the motorways, but I'm struggling to love it. The right elbow rest is rock hard and actually hurts, the fuel tank is too small, the intermittent wipers are bonkers, the infotainment system is poor and, because it's so well insulated, it only really feels fast when you're well in to instant-ban territory. I miss the sporty / interactive nature of Z driving; found myself looking at Caymans, 911s, 370s, etc earlier :-/ I can't believe I'm dissatisfied with such a lusted after car?!
  12. Episode just finished - very enjoyable and shaping up well to beat Grand Tour. That FXXK looked mental! Electronic aids enabled on the GT86 though? Pah!
  13. Saw you out on track at PHSS today - sounded good!
  14. I had them on my track car - agree with the dust and longevity comments, but mine were noisy and cold performance wasn't great (although not bad by any means).
  15. This, but I'd take Pagid RS29 pads and PF Floating discs if budget allows RS29s are hardly everyday pads! lol not sure they're even road legal anyway. Hardcore track-use territory those...
  16. +1 for doing at least some DIY on your own car, then you know what's going on at least with the basics... any owner who'd ever taken a wheel off (flat tyre, cleaning, change brake fluid / pads / disks) would have noticed these I'm sure.
  17. If it's always warm and dry... Cup2s?
  18. Tried to go out for a Sunday morning blast in the Jaaag today but it's too greasy / on cheap tyres / I'm too scared of binning it (pick an excuse!) what with the TCS going off at every opportunity...
  19. The boot space is definitely better in the XKR, though I'm not convinced it really has 50% more usable space. The rear seats are good for extra storage though, certainly can't put people in them! XKR has as a glovebox too.
  20. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/114452-michelin-pilot-sport-4-s-vs-michelin-pilot-super-sport-review/#entry1704253
  21. I'm on the list, need a LOT of people to drop out though before I'm <500
  22. Not shite, lucky! Some of my ex's over the years tried crawling back and I fell for it more than once. Always ended in disaster and with me feeling worse.
  23. Find somebody who is breaking a car?
  24. On my old e46 m3 I just removed the aircon radiator as it sits directly in front of the water radiator. Just doing that made a MASSIVE difference to temps on track.
