  1. Hi Louisa. See you've not even got your car yet and your looking at mods. It's an all too familiar story... I know you don't like the Nismo splitter, but in my thread you can see, or at least get an idea of how a colour matched one will look on a GM Zed. Plus, you can also see what a wrapped centre console looks like as I know you've got a few scratches on the centre lid - Athough I know you don't like the carbon look either. Basically I should of said "Here's my car - you'll hate it"! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67814-me-and-my-zed-or-50-shades-of-gunmetal-grey/
  2. Stick around here a bit longer John, you'll soon have a few ideas (You'll soon be skint too).
  3. I didn't know. Oops, I mean, yeah I knew that, everyone knows that coin thing
  4. Hello and Jack. Joining the forum is a great move to learn about the cars and as Will said, get to a local meet if poss.
  5. My name is Ian, but someone else already had that, apparently just by choosing a random word I have 14N in my number plate (spaced to look like Ian).
  6. Means I have to leave home a lot earlier than I used to, will out the house 12 hours a day and have to endure just over 30 mins each way of a train packed full of commuters However, I only have to drive to the station so I'll be doing 12 miles a day in the Zed, rather than just over 50 And flexib, is that a Steel Panther reference....?
  7. Cheers Kev. I'm sure there will be many thinking that if I spend my time on here and eBay, I'm gonna need it
  8. OK, so I started a new job today, so naturally I had a list of priorities. Top priority after being given a log on for my desktop was to see if I could get on the forum. I can! eBay's blocked though Now, to start reading up and learning about the things I should be doing...
  9. Congrats on your new purchase. Best colour too
  10. Thanks for keeping us updated. I really hope the new treatment goes well.
  11. For some reason this listing appeared in my "Recommended offers/You might also like" section when I was last on eBay. Think I've been browsing Zed suff a bit too much.... Sticker made me chuckle though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warning-98-RON-Decal-B-Fun-JDM-sticker-Supra-EVO-RX7-/290426068651?_trksid=p5197.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26itu%3DI%252BUA%26otn%3D3%26pmod%3D221187537971%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5690286598145880053&_qi=RTM1319885
  12. Be good to ssee it when it's finished Dean. If you can (and as he's a mate), I'd see if you can spend a bit of time in his workshop when he's working on your car; ask if you can have a go and get your hands dirty so to speak. I'd never ventured into the world of detailing until I bought my Zed, but I will never forget the amazement after I clay-barred what I thought was already a clean car. As RTBisuit said, it sounds like a great opportunity for you to learn
  13. There you go Bennett The seats are very much Marmite seats. I like Marmite, I like the seats too Looking good Kyle.
  14. I've got a standard 2004 airbox with filter if you don't manage to sort things out with flyboy.
  15. So those are the 'before' pictures right? What about after you'd washed it?
  16. Ok guys, 2 - 3 weeks before she gets the car. What are the chances that in that time she'll already have bought her first mod in anticipation? My money's on a stubby....
  17. Hello and Good luck with your search, keep us posted with any developments
  18. Cheers guys. I know each amendment to a policy normally carries an 'admin fee', so although the pop charger might not put my premium up, I'll probably still end up paying about £25 as FUG said. I'm changing the wheels once the weather pics up a bit (and the salt/grit has gone), so looks like I'll hold fire on the filter and fit it at the same time as the wheels, to avoid paying an admin fee twice. Just hope my will power is strong enough to stop me from fitting the pop charger before the wheels....
  19. Quite a list already David, looking good. Regarding mod #14.......
  20. No, not another "Should I tell my insurance company" question I'm getting a JWT pop charger next week and will naturally be telling my insurance about the mod. What do you tell/how do you describe it to them? I imagine if I just say "I've fitted a JWT pop charger", it'll be me with a response along the lines of, "Huh? A what?". Do you call it an aftermarket air filter and/or induction kit? Cheers, Ian
  21. Thanks for the comments guys Will, if you're after an aerial to improve reception, I can't recommend the short carbon one. When I first fitted it, I could only really get Radio 1. However, after removing the centre console (and HU) to carbon wrap it, I had to re-tune the radio and it seems much better now! I've got a lot more stations. It's worth a try for less than a tenner though mate. Certainly looks cool
  22. Hello and congrats on your new purchase Yourself and Wanted should have a drive down next Sunday to our West Mids meet: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67614-west-mids-meet-and-eat-sun-24th-feb/ Wasso will be there and he's your man for detailing too
  23. Sam (and Dave), not sure if it helps you out, but Paisley Freight do a courier collection/deliver service for exhausts (as long as the package is less than 2.5m) for £20. I've used them before for wheels and tyres and never had an issue.
  24. Regarding your seat, drop forum member 4RE Leather a PM. Not local to you I'm afraid, but I'm sure will be able to offer some expert advice
