  1. Hi folks...this may be a silly question. What should I use to clean the interior? I've heard you should use glass cleaner....is this correct? I don't fancy the cockpit shine stuff, it leaves a greasy surface. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers
  2. I got one from japcarparts.co.uk they appeared to be the cheapest...but cheers for the heads up
  3. Just had to splash out my new head unit money on a front bearing...with the prospect that the other side will need replaced too. I should have noticed that prior to buying the car last week! Bummer
  4. Hi Lou....great looking car, almost identical to mine. I wouldn't do anything too drastic, maybe match the bumper and that to the bodywork..assuming its not the photo. Your Zed also has a purple hue coming through, is it gun metal? I had bead news this week....heard a noise coming from the car, took it to a garage only to find out that 1, possibly 2 wheel bearings have gone. Had it a week and already splashing out lol
  5. 14N..the missus runs a tight ship where the cash is concerned...i'm gonna have to do some serious saving up on the sly lol
  6. I like the standard look myself...mine's came with a stainless steel exhaust, don't know what difference it makes but i looks nice lol good luck when your car finally arrives, i found this part really drags in lol fingers crossed you get it soon
  7. Congrats!! Just seen the photo. Cracker....same as mine lol let me know what your doing with it now....ive got a little cash left and don't know whether to do something inside or outside. This is my first decent car so i dont really have a clue!! haha
  8. Hey Louisa911...how is the Zed hunting coming along? I took about 3 months to find mine. Took a look at loads of them and inquired about even more. Mostly were up here in Scotland. I had to broaden my net though to find the right one, when that one came along another better one became available a couple of miles from me. The only advice I can offer is don't go for the first one, cos you'll love it. Just keeping looking and it will find you
  9. @ Louisa911...sorry for not getting back, being busy taking her for a spin lol. It really is a great car to drive, been taking it a bit easy the now and giving the roundabouts a wide berth....ive clipped an alloy or 2 in my time lol
  10. Hello again folks. Looking for a bit of help. How do I upload photos of my car onto my profile? Also does anyone recommend a new double din stereo? preferably a touchscreen dvd player, round the £300 - £400 price range. I apologize if this is a common question, I'm new to the forum scene and i'll continue to search for posts relating to this. Many thanks folks
  11. Cheers everyone...i'll defo have a closer look at those gear knobs at Redline.....very smart. btw nice profile pic ewan221
  12. Hi folks. After months of searching for a 350z, I have now purchased one and will be driving it for the first time this Thursday. Its a 54 plate, Gun metal grey GT spec with 42000mls.I paid £6000 for it...not sure if that's over priced but it is in fantastic condition. There are couple of things I would like to replace straight away and would appreciate any tips or where to look. The gear knob is well worn and would like a new one. Also the hydraulic arms (not sure if this is the right name) that holds the boot up doesn't work to well. I was told this happens in cold weather. Also any maintenance tips would be very welcome. I'm not too mechanically minded so if you can offer advice...keep it simple for me. I'll get a photo up later in the week for my profile, its not as fancy as most on here but the standard car is beautiful none the less. Any way hello to everyone and I'm delighted to be part of the fortunate few cheers John
  13. Many thanks 14N....that link is exactly what I'm looking for....cheers
  14. Hi folks. Sorry to ask the same question here. I'm looking to buy a 350 this month. Gonna spend between 7000-8000 grand. Got my insurance sorted out too. A friend of mine, a previous 350 owner, had recommended an earlier model to avoid the hike in road tax. However my question is this....what should I look out for in terms of parts needing replaced? By that I mean should I look out for parts that should be needing replaced due to age/mileage? I'm not a petrol head by any stretch of the imagination so any pointers you can provide will be greatly received. Cheers and happy new year everyone!
