  1. Fair enuff. I just had to ask. May you have many more safe, enjoyable Zed miles ahead
  2. Fantastic destinations that they are, wouldn't a return flight ticket make more sense? And also prevent you putting 15k miles on your Zed in 8 months??
  3. Hope Amy doesn't mind me re-posting. Mods please remove/delete if necessary. This is what I found: http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=32941
  4. Looks like this 'Max Power Incident' was a bit before my time here - apologies if it's opened old wounds. I've just found Amy's thread (or one of them), so will have a read.
  5. Look smart combined with your rear bumper that spoiler would mate
  6. Only if you had to enter a competition for it
  7. Was just having a root through YouTube and ended up watching 350Z related clips, which resulted in me watching the 5th gear road tests (all very favourable towards the Zed). After a couple of the tests and/or shoot-outs against other cars, the 350Z is then offered as a competition prize. I was just wondering, is anyone on here an owner of one of the Zeds that has previously been given away? I appreciate you may not be the original competition winner, but maybe recognise your car from the registration number from one of the clips? Just a thought I had to ask....
  8. I know it's a horrible thought, but if the worst were to happen and my Zed was declared a total loss for whatever reason (accident/theft etc), the moment the insurance coughed up, I'd be on the look out for another Zed as a replacement. I couldn't say that about any other car I've owned and would see it as an opportunity to get something different. The only change I might make would be to consider a roadster, and maybe a different colour - but the replacement car would still have to be a Zed. But let's not think about any kind of total loss (shivers).
  9. And yet again this forum comes up trumps! (Apologies for the thread revival). I'm gonna be doing this exact DIY job this weekend (I've just done the gear surround part) and was wondering how I was going to tackle the three centre dials. And now I know... I'm now just left wondering how best to tackle the cubby door. What did you guys do? Is it best to remove it (I think this IS what I'll do, but thought I'd ask). I'm wrapping in the carbon look stuff, so it's important I get the pattern of the weave correct. BulletMagnet yours looks great and is just what I'm aiming for. How did you approach the cubby door? And I appreciate this thread is now well over a year old, so how is your (and everyone's wrap) holding up? Cheers, Ian
  10. Hello and Why the 2 year wait if the one you're viewing tomorrow isn't 'the one'?
  11. Hello and Good luck with your search. Plenty of info and helpful folk on here
  12. Cheers for the offer Jon, but it was a tongue in cheek post as you suspected. I did try one of the cassette adaptors like yours for a while, but changed the head unit eventually. I trust all is well mate? Hopefully see you on a meet or two this year
  13. Herro and I'm inrigued to see what these rims look like....
  14. Are you sure it's the Zed and not the other 'alf complaining about the amount you've just spent on a car?
  15. LOL. With you lot bickering, I feel like I'm going off topic with my response, where actually 'm just answering the OP. I normally get bored with my cars after about 9 months, to the point its rare I actually MOT a car (buy it with 12 months, part ex it with 2-3). But I've had my Zed for nearly a year now and have no intention of getting rid. I thought I 'd buy a car that I was happy with in standard spec and wouldn't want to enhance in any way, shape or form. Then I went to my first meet. Uh oh. Zeditis soon bit me and I started messing with little bits n' pieces. Nothing major yet, but this is soon gonna change with new wheels and other goodies. I figured the money I spend/lose on every car I buy, I can now spend on a car I love and intend on keeping.
  16. for drying armpit hair. I had to borrow my other halves hair dryer, as I don't have my own (hair dryer or hair) ! I think landing a 747, blindfolded would be simpler to use! There are: Speed settings.. Heat settings.... Cooling settings... Cold shot buttons... It also featured 'ionic conditioning technology' and a detatchable diffuser, and even a turbo button! Naturally I tried this, but it seemed to make no difference. I was only expecting an on/off button.
  17. I think it looks a good car for the money from the ad, and the seller seems genuine as you say. It should certainly be obvious if his missus is 5 months pregnant! I spotted this car on eBay when I was browsing Zed stuff and thought it looked nice - certainly the right colour Ask the owner to send you some larger/hi-res photo's from around and inside the car - it's what I did with mine as I found mine on eBay and it was about 3.5 hours away, so gave me a better idea of what I was going to go look at. Maybe get his number and have a chat over the phone Good luck and keep us posted
  18. Hello and I'm sure an auto owner will drop by soon and answer your Q's. I could have a guess, but it would be a guess as I have a manual.
  19. Congrats on your new purchase and along.
  20. Hi All, Just thought I'd add an update, as I finally got round to doing this today. All that's needed is about a 30 second blast from a hair dryer. The sticker then came straight off, without the need for any scraping, turps or toffee hammers. Didn't even leave any sticky residue. The longest part of the job was running the extension lead out the house for the hair dryer! Cheers, Ian
  21. Hello and Good luck in your search and I'm sure you'll be welcomed into the local meets (unless you turn up in a Boxster)
  22. I'd get the wheel alignment checked for the sake of £30 ish. It'll give you peace of mind that all is pointing in the right direction and will surprise you how much difference a small adjustment (if needed) will make.
