  1. Weejohn and the OP, here you go.... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/
  2. I have an alternative solution for the common skippy, jumpy BOSE CD player issue, that I don’t think I’ve seen posted before, so thought I’d share with my fellow forum members. This maybe a favourable solution for those that do not wish to remove their centre dashpod, removing the stereo, and start hacking away at the wiring and re-soldering. This method involves leaving the head unit undisturbed and in situ. It’s also a much cheaper solution to buying a new head unit and also means that you still retain the full use of the steering wheel controls including the telephone functions. Here’s a quick how to guide with details on what to do. Parts required A tape cassette recorder with built in CD player. (Look in your loft/attic/garage). A blank cassette. These are available in either 60 or 90 minute format. (120 minute formats are also available, but quality can suffer). From previous experience, I’ve found the TDK D90 perfectly adequate. Your favourite CD(s). Here’s what you do: Record your favourite CD(s) onto the aforementioned tape cassette. (This gives you the flexibility to choose not to record any songs you don’t like). Another option is to record JUST the songs you like onto one tape cassette. Maybe have different cassettes for different moods or situations. Some call this song choice a ‘Playlist’. If your tape recorder also features a radio, you can also record the current songs you like off the radio on a Sunday afternoon/evening. This does require a certain co-ordination between the fingers operating the ‘Play’ and ‘Record’ buttons on your tape recorder. And there you have it. Once you’ve finished, you can listen to your cassette tape with no more annoying skippy tunes. Ian
  3. Also consider costs of running the car. OK, so you may be able to afford to buy the car, tax it and even insure it, but will you be able to run it? It's not as economical as other cars as it's a 3.5l V6, plus it SHOULD be run on the more expensive, higher octane super unleaded. Bit pointless spending all your savings on a car if you can't afford the go-go juice to enjoy it. Oh and to the forum
  4. Hi All, As per title, I'm after a set of Tein S-Tech lowering springs (the 17mm / 15mm ones). I know I can get a new set from Camskill for £130, I just thought I'd try here first to see if anyone had a set they weren't using. Cheers, Ian
  5. Sorry Nate, another post that isn't actually interest in purchasing, but is it lowered and/or fitted with spacers? If so, what's it running on, as there's nothing listed in the enhancements? Cos it's a nice stance
  6. Hi Alex and You've made a good start by finding this place, now good luck with your search for a Zed
  7. As SMD says, replacing the head unit with a main brand one AND the associated patch lead maintains most of the steering wheel controls. I changed mine for an Alpine double DIN along with the patch lead and the volume and track selection buttons were not affected, but the phone buttons in the middle of the 2 now act as a 'source' button (i.e. select radio, CD etc). Plenty of useful stuff in the ICE section on this site. Ohand to the forum
  8. Hello Joe and Good luck with your search, be good to have another new Zed owner in the West Mids.
  9. Hello and Lets see some pics and tell us whereabouts you're located
  10. Hello and Some good advice in this (and your other intro thread) Good luck with the search
  11. Hi, no I think it might be Gudzy's as he has a silver 350Z and is from Willowfield.
  12. Flyer it! http://www.350z-uk.c...ted-cards-here/ Ahh, ^^^ looks like that might not be necessary! ^^^

  14. I'm not even going to enter into negotiations. I have a very nice Zed myself and have no reason to get rid of her - except yours is nicer-er with the ICE etc. You wouldn't want mine anyway - it's the wrong colour. I'm glad you've decided to keep her, it's a fantastic example. Hopefully see you at a meet soon.
  15. Gutted for you mate. Hope you manage to sort it as swiftly and cheaply as poss.
  16. I hope you sell this soon mate. I'm trying to resist asking if you'd take a standard GM 350Z as a part ex for yours, as I like all the extras you've added and think I now prefer your interior to my black one.
