  1. Oi don't you start! Kev (KC350) has already started calling me John Major today due to my grey car and potential grey wheels.
  2. My dyslexic mate thought my plate said L1NDA. So you're not alone bud.
  3. OK, here's a plea to all the nice Photoshop gurus. A couple of pics taken when Wasso was trying 'em on for size and a side shot of my car. If it's possible, can they be put on my car in the magical mystical world of Photoshop, in both the black and GM colour? Pleeeeez? Many thanks, Ian
  4. His is as bad as mine! Officer....
  5. I've noticed this guy's Audi (and his plate) a few times when I return to my car in the station car park of an evening, (hard not to notice him when you look where he's parked). As the space next to him was empty and it was fairly quiet, I took the opportunity for a photo Typical it had to be the week I'd taken my splitter off!
  6. As the others have said, that really doesn't sound like a bad quote considering your driving history. If it wasn't for the £3k excess, I think you'd find it would be a lot more. Hard to believe you're asking such a question after you've bought the car, but it could've been worse - at least you've found someone that'll cover you! Best of luck and to the forum.
  7. Hi James, There are a number of traders on here that have a LOT of experience with the 350Z and will be willing to help you as much as they can. The first that springs to mind and is definitiely worth asking the above questions to via a PM would be zmanalex. He even gets his own smilie
  8. Here you go. (Cos I'm on lunch, bored and needed something to do).... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/38295-bumper-colour-doesnt-match/
  9. Even if it's black? lol I get your point about it looking bland though. The GM would have to be a darker shade than my car I think. Otherwise folk will be thinking "Oh look, John Major's got a 350Z".
  10. Hi All, I currently have some TSW Jarama wheels waiting to be fitted to my car (once the weather improves and the salty roads disappear). Here they are: http://www.tsw.com/a...eels_jarama.php I have the black spoked version in 19's and I'm considering changing the spoke colour (and everything else that's black) to a gunmetal colour. What do you think? I'm sat on the fence at the mo and can't decide either way, so all opinions are very welcome. They'll be going on a GM 350Z coupe. That one down there.... Thanks in advance, Ian
  11. I'd be interested to see how it looks with a black roof. Maybe get it wrapped, as it's not permanent then. Regarding the different colour bumper in photograph's, I'm sure I read a post where someone had questioned the same. It's to do with the bumper and bodywork being a different material (metal and plastic respectively) and how it reflects the light. In a nutshell - nothing to worry about
  12. Feel like I'm hijacking my own thread now I'm a definite possibility mate. Especially as I can't make the Wales weekend this year. Will have a trawl through the thread later (all 15 or so pages) and hopefully add my name to the list. (Just hope martinmac doesn't slap me for spraying his wheels - if I do).
  13. Cheers Ad. I'm undecided about the GM paint or whether to just chuck 'em on as is. Might have to ask the forum... Japfest - gimme details. Where and when? Linky? EDIT: Scrap that - Just found the event. 11th May Castle Combe. Leave it with me
  14. Yeah, that's the stuff Adam. General consensus seems to be a tin does 2 wheels though. There's a seller on eBay selling a 'package' of 3 tins of paint and 1 tin of lacquer for £26 incl postage, which seems very reasonable. No photo's of the new wheels yet mate, but as you're curious (and I know you like your rims), this is them: http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_jarama.php I've got the one's with the black spokes. (Although thinking of changing the spoke colour to GM - hence the above query).
  15. Bargain! Wait till you put the orange pin stripe round the wheels - you'll be looking at £100's in additional premium
  16. Congrats! Is your face aching from all the grinning yet?
  17. Has anyone used or have experience of using E-Tech alloy wheel paint? Seen a few posts on other forums and it seems to be good stuff. The marketing blurb would lead you to believe that as long as you do the necessary prep work and spray with the supervision of a responsible adult, professional looking results can be acheived. Thinking of using the gunmetal/anthracite stuff and 2 options are available. Without lacquer gives a 'motorsport' look finish, or E-Tech also provide a lacquer to use with the alloy wheel paint to give a glossy finish. Anyone tried this stuff? Ian
  18. Hi Ewan, I wrapped my centre console and didn't sand it down. I did it in the carbon vinyl (which you don't like), but the texture of the plastic does not show through at all. Just make sure it (the plastic) clean before you apply the vinyl. The results can be seen in my thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67814-me-and-my-zed-or-50-shades-of-gunmetal-grey/ You can do it in any colour you want! Maybe just re-do it black, or silver to match the car? Ian
  19. Hello and Matt. Head on over to the North West regional section and have a looksy for your next local meet http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/75-north-west/
  20. You may have already been spotted.... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67967-silver-350z-m4-heading-westbound-j10-j11/#entry1011886
  21. Woohoo! A successful spot!! Keep an eye on the West Mids section for news and events: http://www.350z-uk.c...-west-midlands/ And as Wasso said, sign up for the mailing list (if you haven't already) EDIT: Just realised from your ads in the wanted section, you haven't had it long. to Zed ownership!
  22. It's a 2003 model, but appears to have the later type front bumper. Worth asking why.....
  23. Sounds an interesting car. So let's see some! Joe
