  1. Hello and A few members have bought their cars from Trade Link and Greg from there is a member on here (MyFairlady). Use the search function, I'm sure you'll find some feedback. 350Z-UK.com stickers (as in the banner above) are available at the bargain price of £4 (or free when you have 350 posts). Why not buy one in readiness for your new car Out of interest, what bikes you got?
  2. Good progress. Houston, we have power
  3. I actually started finding other things to do with it on in the background tonight, rather than actually sitting and watching it. I simply lost interest. Hope next week is better.

Well I never.... That's today's lesson learnt (or is it 'learned')?

    Wheels and Tyres

I thought the rears were wider? That's why there was a little 'pin' on the front hub to prevent you from fitting the rears to the front

    Z two months on.

Kit ;looks nice and the wheels really suit it. Not sure if the square front plate does though IMHO.
  7. 30.06.2013 - 94462 Miles OK, so spent some quality time with my Zed this weekend. Cleaned and conditioned the seats with Gliptone Liquid Leather. Got a kit including the cleaner, conditioner, brush, sponge pads and microfibre cloths for just over £15 online. Did take some before and after pics, but they really don't do the results justice. Really pleased with the result and the leather not only looks 'fresher' but smells like leather again (like a new pair of shoes). Definitely recommend the stuff. Then onto my local exhaust centre. I wanted a bit more 'volume' from my exhaust, but couldn't really justify the expense of buying a new system as my back box is still in great condition (yes, even though it's a Japspeed K2 ). So after a conversation with 'the exhaust man', she was booked in to have the centre section replaced with a 3" diameter piece with no silencer in the middle, replacing the 2.25" diameter OEM one. Before After Now sounds much better. Not loud (as the rear silencer is chambered, so still keeping the noise levels very acceptable), but gives a little burble, rasp and pop on the over-run. Nice. Then painted the mirror mounting brackets with Plasticote (not Plastidip) satin black to freshen them up. Also painted the large black slam panel in the engine bay too. Looks like new OEM. Result. Next where the front discs and pads. Replaced with Kinetix discs and Brembo pads. Will give feedback once they've been on for a while and bedded in. Also did an oil and filter change as it was due.
  8. Phew! Thanks Alex. Appreciate the fast response. And yes, I know I should of cone directly to you. But I was passing Westway.... Lesson learned. Cheers mate
  9. Just doing an oil and filter change on the Zed. Dropped oil and old filter off and now about to put new filter on - and it's a different size! It'll 'fit', but it's shorter. The part No. Of the one taken off is: 15208-9F6OO The one Westway Nissan have given me is: 15208-9F60A Checking the box, it doesn't list the 350Z only Almera, Qashqai and Juke. Has the filter been superceeded or have they given me the wrong one? I didn't check the box when they gave it me as I assumed asking for an oil filter for a 2004 350Z would be sufficient. Cheers, Ian
  10. I have 19" x 9.5j ET40 on the rear fitted with 25mm spacers, a 275/35-19 tyre, lowered on Tein springs and have no issues. The offset (at ET15) is just right. With the same figures (apart from the 20" rim) I'm guessing you'll be fine. But it is a guess and not an educated one.
  11. This gonna be no help what-so-ever, but I personally think your car is sorted exactly as it is. Not sure those wheels would suit IMHO.
  12. What a race. So much respect for these guys. Lorenzo, you are a legend. And Cal? I freaking love you! I'm not even that way inclined.
  13. Not a fan, sorry. AND the car's green! Double fail
  14. Just seen qualifying. :yahoo: That is all for now.... I wouldn't be surprised to see Lorenzo tomorrow. Premiership footballers take 6 months off work if they stub a toe. I love motorcycle racing.
  15. If you're confident with a socket set and have the right tools, possess an average amount of common sense and make yourself familiar wit hthe guide that Ad linked to, I'd buy a set of Yellowstuff from one of the traders on here, such as Cougar Store, Tarmac or Zmanalex (circa £70 a pair IIRC) and give it a go yourself. I'd advise torquing the wheel nuts up to the correct strength though rather than just 'tight'. I'm sure someone local has a wrench you could borrow or just ask a local friendly tyre place to check. Then spend the money you've saved by treating the Zed to tank full of Super unleaded and go bed your new brakes in
  16. Haha. Thank you voice of hindsight. But I'm glad it didn't look very good TBH, as I now prefer the original look.
  17. Please dont think I'm trying to insult your intelligence, but the rough part of the pad facesthe brake discs. Sounds obvious, but I was talking to an MOTer and he told me about a car he'd seen recently where the owner had done an 'easy DIY job' of replacing his own brake pads and fitted them the wrong way round! Sounds like an old wives tale, but he showed me the photos he'd taken at the time on his phone!
  18. Yeah that could be an idea but gold is very 'subaru', especially in Essex where I live!! A friend round the corner does plastidipping and manufacturers the tanks for it, interesting concept but not really for me! they do a anthracite kind of gunmetal finish as well. Think you may be confusing hydro dipping with plasti dipping (because of the 'makes the tanks' reference). Two different kettles of fish. Plastidip is a flexible coating applied like spray paint that is also removeable. Whatever you do, please DO NOT buy the gunmetal plasti dip - it doesn't loook like guns or metal as I found out at my own expense.
  19. Well you're going the best way of finding out. But if you do make mistakes, learn from them and try again
  20. You must already be planning the revenge strategy mate.....
  21. AAAAAAAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA  . I've only just caught up with the progress of this. The last time I read it, Ricey had written the response and 'deployed the strategy'. This is so far beyond epic. If only there was an emoticom for LMFAO. Brilliant.
  22. That's me summed up then - well into my 30's and totally average
