  1. Two more sleeps then mate (Assuming you'll actually sleep Thursday night).
  2. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. I really didn't know how it would turn out when I started, but was really pleased with the finished result. ddcboyle - It holds itself in place via a push fit. No brackets etc are needed. I've also got the OEM boot mat etc. Few more details and comments in my thread (link in my sig).
  3. Pic added with username to ensure 'da rulz' are met.
  4. Both thumbs are still in tact I'm just glad Health and Safety don't oversee what you get upyto in your own back yard....
  5. Overcome with a flash of creativity, I had a go at making myself a Nismo version Currently for sale if you're interested http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73476-limited-edition-n1smo-350z-boot-divider/
  6. Okay, I'm sorry if you saw "Limited Edition N1SMO" and got a bit excited. Yes, it's one of my own boot dividers/vertical tonneau covers, but as I nearly cut my thumb off with the jigsaw trying to cut out the 'S', this will definitely be a very limited edition of one! After a member asked if I'd "ever made a Nismo one?", I thought I'd have a go at making one just for myself, but not really expecting to pull it off. Here's the finished result. I've decided to offer it for sale as I don't really have anything 'Nismo' in or on my car, so figured I'd stick with the original 'Z' version and give you guiys the opportunity of owning this 'one off'. I'd like £55 plus P&P (£14 via Parcel Force 48hr) for this unique divider. First PM gets it. Cheers, Ian Mods - Sorry I haven't got a pic with my username on. The photos were taken when I made it and as it was originally made 'for me' and not for sale, I didn't consider adding the required username. I can add another pic if needed. *This is a N1SMO divider. Any resemblance to the Nismo logo is purely coincedental
  7. David, I just cleaned and lightly sanded mine (it's a textured finish anyway so the sanding wasn't entirely necessary), then just used primer and paint from rattle cans.
  8. That's why you should read broadsheets instead of tabloids - Larger coverage area when using as masking. And to add to your list Dave......Kathy Lloyd
  9. Sounds like the majority of us really! Here's the West Mids regional thread (Also covers Worcestershire) http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/78-west-midlands/
  10. You don't have to paint the plenum in VHT paint, it can be painted in 'normal' rattle can paint. Although it gets warm (very warm) it doesn't get hot enough to warrant the need for a heat resistant.high temperature paint. If it's the wrinkle/crinkle finish you'rer after, then go for it, but I don't think you'll see much benefit from using that paint as a heat dispersal tool. I'm no expert though.
  11. I've no idea mate. It was £1 so if it doesn't fit, I'll ;modify' it with a pair of scissors.
  12. I've just picked up one of those sun blind things that sit behind your windscreen to block the car's interior from the sun. The past few days have been interesting as my car is parked in direct sunlight all day. Leather seats and an alloy gear knob get pretty damn warm! Plus the blind will help protect the leather. Anyway, the caution on the packaging highlighted a danger I hadn't considered. So glad I read it before I used it. I was planning to drive with it still in place to shield my eyes from the sun. Guess I'll just have to continue closing my eyes... "Do not use when driving"
  13. I assume the upgrade will also include your CD collection then?
  14. Oh go on then, cos you you winked at me http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=Pulley_Installation
  15. You'll know if you're too close to the mark if her toes curl up
  16. OK guys, I think we've sufficiently answered the OP's questions, "what stubby can I use and where can I get one?" and there appears to be a number of us now in possession of a crap Nismo stubby. So, suggestions are welcome as to what this useless stubby can actually be used for I'll start: 1. Nismo tea stirrer
  17. These are the guys: City Motors Unit B 50 London Rd, Worcester. WR5 2DS Tel. 01905 616480 They (rather Carl) has worked on both Wasso and Bennett's cars and both recommend his services. I'll be using him for anything I can't do myself in future. So, we gonna start seeing you at Midlands meets now you've found us?
  18. Maybe the insurers saw you driving at Japfest, Castle Combe?
  19. I had the Nismo carbon stubby. It was pants. Contact Steve 350z at Redlibe or Tarmac Sportz, both traders on here. Genuine Honda RDX stubby about £13 is the choice of champions
  20. Hello and Jacqui. Wasso and Bennett (GT4 Zed) have used a garage in Worcester that they've both recommended. I can't remember their name though but I'm sure they'll be along soon with details. I'm interested too as I'm in Kidderminster Where you located?
  21. Look at the colour of your car though. I don't think theft is considered a risk.......
  22. And just remind us Ninja, who won? The DE or HR?
  23. Cheers. No I left them on the car. Just lowered the windows and masked everything up. I made sure I was still able to fold the mirrors in/out and did so with each light coat. Otherwise you'll end up with an unprinted part if you don't. The longest part of the job is all the masking up!
  24. And when you've bought some, you'll need this: http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=Drive_and_Accessory_Belt_Replacement And this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/15848-how-to-change-the-aux-drive-belts/

    Tein springs

I'd mirror what Niko said really. I take the same care near kerbs etc with my Nismo style splitter than I did before I fitted springs. Haven't caught it yet (touches wood). Spped bumps haven't proved to be an issue at all. They're only a 17mm drop on the front and 15mm on the rear (should be the other way round IMO). I haven't noticed much difference in the hardness of the ride, they do feel like the OEM springs regarding driver comfort, but they do sharpen up the handling in corners. They're certainly not an uncomfortable spring. And for everyday use on UK roads, they're spot on.
