  1. 21.07.2013 - 94705 Miles This weekend saw me fitting new discs and pads to the rear, spending a little more time on the engine bay dress up and fitting my newly acquired K1 exhaust. I've replaced a few more bolts and fasteners and added the silver/grey conduit. Also painted the front part of the engine block with engne enamel. Think it looks alright now After cleaning and polishing the K1 I swapped with my 'spare' K2, it was time to fit it. Was unsure whether to leave the bumper tucked or not, but with the size of the rear cans (and the fact I like it), I decided to leave it. I also painted the bungs with some black BBQ paint I had spare. Blimey it's LOUD! But it sounds so good! Hello neighbourhood, my Zed just woke up, and it sounds ANGRY! Then gave her a wash and polish and thought I'd head off to my favourite deserted retail park to take a few pics in the sunshine. Who says grey doesn't shine? I love my Zed

    New lip kit

Very nice indeed. Cool pics too
  3. Congrats Let's see some pics then. So, what d'ya think in comparison to the TT?
  4. Sold to Pete87, sorry Plummerman. I can make you a Z one if you want?
  5. There are pro's and con's to a JDM car. I'm not even gonna dip my toe in that arguement, but there are plenty of threads on the subject. You're probably aware of some of the 'common' issues from your previous JDM cars (such as some insurers don't like 'em), but one ethat seems to trip a few owners up is the road tax. It's common knowledge that post (March I think) 2006 Zeds fall into the higher tax group, but if your (for example) 2003 JDM car was imported and registewred in the UK after this date, it will also fall into the higher tax group, even though it's a 2003 car. There's a JDM thread/section somewhere round here.... EDIT: Found it. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/37-jdm-imports/
  6. We're all jumping to the same conclusion here. We're assuming he means a 350Z roadster, when he's simply stated 'a convertible'. I have a colleague with an S reg MGF that would happily do you a 1 for 1 swap....
  7. Don't rush into one just because it's the first car you see. There are a lot of good cars out there, but undoubtably a few not so good. If you find one and would like a second opinion, post the link on here and let us all see (but if it's an absolute bargain, maybe put a securing deposit down first) Good luck with your search. Hopefully the one you see tonight is a good 'un.
  8. These are my own thoughts, and may not necessarily be agreed with by anyone else - but as I said, they're mine I love my Zed. It's the car I wanted my TT to be. I learnt a lot about car ownership and maintenance following the purchase of my TT - for all the wrong reasons. However, it's how I discovered forums like this one. It was almost a weekly occurence entering a search into Google to find out "What does error code P##### mean" or "How do I change/fix this/that". 99% of the time it would return a result on the TTF, so I signed up. After almost 18 months of ownership of my Zed (which in itself is a long time for me to own a car), the only searching I've had to do to replace anything is for a modification and not following a failure. I see about 5 or 6 TT's everyday (and that's just the Mk1), whereas I hardly ever see a Zed, maybe one a month (not including meets). I like the exclusivity. I know this doesn't give a great review on the cars from a driving experience/driveability point of view, but I'm proud to own my Zed. I still have to glance back at it whenever leaving it parked anywhere. The TT is a good car (I just had a bit of a lemon I think), but the Zed is a GREAT car. And this forum community aint a bad bunch either
  9. Ouch! I had to read that twice!
  10. Nice car, love the backdrop. I did a Quattro Sport stylee rear seat delete in mine - that's how I knew I didn't need seats in the back!
  11. I think it looks great fitted in your car Matt and I'm pleased you're happy with it. Thanks for posting the pic
  12. Hello and Which TT are you coming from? I came from a Mk1 225 and have never looked back. Although the Audi may have similar power, I'm guessing it'll be the Quattro, so just remember the Zed is RWD before booting it exiting an island
  13. Hello again. Not sure if you found it eventually, but here's the link to the buyers guide http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/
  14. Friday bump (as I can post Saturday)

    She's gone!!

Sorry to see you leave stanzed. Hopefully Mike46 will stick around with his great looking new purchase. I know, but I've got a nice pair of black 5 spoke Marcesini's that will fit your current steed if you fancied a change from the white
  16. MPH blanked out Dip?
  17. Car looks great and sounds like you had an amazing time. So, now you're home, what plans have you got for your Zed? How did he/she perform on the trip? Any issues?
  18. 14N

    Which exhaust?

Can you just buy the resonated centre section for the Cobra? (Maybe a question for CS)? Or get one made up? Or have a silencer added to your non-resonated pipe.
  19. Is that tyre size the same all round? If so, that'll be one hell of a stretch on the rear! Probably won't do the handling any favours either. Your OEM Rays are a 245 width tyre on the rear and for an example, I have a 9.5j rear wheel with 275 tyre. The spacer question can't be answered really until you know the offset (ET).
  20. You have a bright green car! I thought 'looking like OEM' would be low on your priority list!
  21. Why not join us at Zedfest? Not too far from Derby http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73370-west-mids-zed-fest-drive-in-sun-11th-aug/
