  1. What an incredible read, very inspiring. Well done to all involved.
  2. One thing to watch out for is sending a small payment, as a test, then doing the full amount. I did that and when I went to transfer the rest it was blocked. It was flagged as suspicious as this is what fraudsters do to check if a transfer can take place. A quick phone call resolved it but it delayed me by 30 minutes and that could have been 30 minutes spent in my new Zed!
  3. Thanks for everyone's comments. I've decided to go against this approach, the chap I spoke to didn't know how it would sound and I don't want to waste money tweaking it until it's right. Cobra it is!
  4. Thanks for everyone's comments. I'm warming towards the idea! Problem with the chap that might do mine is that he said he wasn't sure how load it would be
  5. I've been quoted £400 this morning for a completely custom built Powerflow exhaust system (mid and back) but I'm struggling to find, on the forum at least, anyone who has gone down this route. It does seem cheap but the company are local and very reputable. Is it worth experimenting/giving it a go or playing safe with a tried and tested Cobra?
  6. AFAIK the new prefix reg plates are typically done by region. I can't remember what it is exactly, but when my better half worked at Toyota Bath ALL their new cars left with WN or WG at the start of the plate. So you might well find that the Zed you saw came from the same dealership. Indeed, just checked and 'OE' means it was registered in Oxford. A mere 206 miles away.
  7. Bizarre moment outside my work today when another silver 350z stopped outside with the very next registration plate to mine. Apart from the minor heart attack I had when the first 6 letters of the registration matched and I thought the audacious thief was parading it in front of me, it's even more bizarre that my car was probably registered hundreds of miles away. What are the odds?
  8. Good news, the garage managed to do a temporary fix and it has now passed! I'll need to get a new backbox in a couple of weeks or so which gives me a bit of time to consider my options, although the Cobra looks easily the best option.
  9. I do trust the MOT centre, problem is it's only half a mile away and it was cold this morning. If I had known about the could cat issue people have come across I'd have driven it for a bit first. The rear tyres are still legal despite doing a few hundred miles. I must be too gentle with them
  10. I'm based in Lancaster, lovely Lancashire. I'm thinking (hoping) it'll just be because the cat was cold. A quick search through the forum seems to suggest it's a common issue.
  11. Well MOT day has arrived. Due to various reasons I've only just been able to book it in so I'm uncomfortably close to the expiry date. Sadly it has failed on emissions or on the lambda sensor at least and I've also got a hole in my exhaust (it's the OEM exhaust) The garage is running diagnostics this afternoon and letting me know. Although it's probably due to the cat being cool. Looking at the positive side on things the leak gives me a good excuse to get the Cobra non-resonated exhaust!
  12. I got Camskill to price match Love Tyres yesterday hence why they're currently on a special. Love Tyres were cheaper but with the price match and Camskill's lower P&P they're now the cheapest around... and I looked long and hard!
  13. Yep all 4 in one go and I was only in the store for 30 mins (any longer and you have to pay to shop in Lancaster). Probably kids but I've learned my lesson, I'll invest my £4 in a keyring next time
  14. Well these didn't last long. All 4 pinched from a Sainsbury's car park at the weekend.
  15. Mine's a UK model with square plates, not had any issues from the rozzers in the 3 weeks I've had it
