  1. Engine oil, diff and gearbox fluid, brake fluid, coolant, top up power steering fluids I'd required, spark plugs, oil and air filter. That should cover all the bases. Also inspect the belts for any wear or cracking and replace if required, same goes for discs and pads.
  2. HEL lines are fine, better than stock and I'd trust them no end more than any brand I don't know. I don't know the names of the various fittings but if you give CS a pm with the measurements and what ends you have he will probably have a set in stock that he could check against for you
  3. What about Limey for the English, Jock for Scots or Paddy for the Irish, what's people's thoughts on those? Personally I don't like being called a Paddy, but that's because I'm not from the Republic and consider myself a Brit. Anyway, R888's huh?
  4. I'm sure there an out of the tin Shadow Chrome as quite a few have had their 350 Rays done that colour at different places, looks great
  5. After a remap I would expect to see 5-10 bhp, any more than that would be a bonus. Edit: 5-10 bhp on top of the original remap is what I mean. I would expect to see about double that with a remap on a stock motor.
  6. The oil issue will require a new rocker cover. Hopefully the 2 plugs are on the same bank? Otherwise it'll be 2 rocker covers Good luck
  7. Providing its not a GT4 edition, a simple plenum spacer from Wasso or Motordyne is what you're looking for

    I'm stupid

It's a 55, a whopping 107k on the clock, mostly motorway miles. With full servicing history. It's difficult to say, I put about 200ml very two weeks. Maybe a little more Not a 296? No, older. 280 Hmm 200ml isn't much I suppose. My car is older with only 6k less miles and burns no oil. I wonder why it does that also I'm not sure how much this will affect it or if its even noticeable but I'm sure I read buring oil reduces the octane in fuel injected? This is the first car I have had that burns oil. Doesn't leak that's for sure. I have read so many threads from people saying they all burn oil. Strange. I put 99 in it. Strange thing though, on occasions when I boot it I get a fine sweet smelling odour of oil. Not all the time. Could be the semi synthetic Iv been putting in ? It's the 296's that are infamous for burning oil, i've little to nothing about the earlier cars doing so, but I'm sure like all cars, there are a few cases about.

Be safe and drain it all out and start over. Better safe than sorry and i doubt you've done any damage with your mishap
  10. Don't the new regs from last year state that the car must be fitted with cats if it left the factory that way?
  11. Proof that 2 knobs aren't always better than 1 I've done the same, but didn't realise that the seat was lower, I just bought Alezans from an import.
  12. I think the point A9H-RX is trying to make, is that it looks like a perfectly fine R35 with less than 5K on the clocks and it's being broken for parts.
  13. UK and JDM. UK has 2 I believe whereas JDM only has 1.
  14. I've heard many things about Glasgows special kiss
  15. Look in the for sale section.
  16. Really? Thats an MOT failure? It looks like the outer most edge of the tip is about flush with the black part of the bumper so may fall into a grey area of protruding outside the bumper and therefore no one could catch or burn themselves on it. Walking past a car with side exits would probably cause more issue.
  17. The GT4 is 296BHP from the factory. Something different with the timing, higher redline and intake manifold I think, but someone more knowledgable will be along with the full story. I'm not sure about the spacer deal on 06's either, but have heard something about the MREV2. i think you need the MREV2 to get the benefits from the spacer.
  18. Yes, Will had a pair that developed a fault, had to cough up and send them back to the states. I on the other hand also used to have a pair. They worked flawlessly for me and I've since sold them on to another forum member about 6 months ago after I acquired a pair of genuine lights. As far as I know, he has had no problems with them either.
  19. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe it was the Cosworth that Mark had mentioned wasn't great for N/A... Either way, I'll be interested to see/hear some numbers before and after this stack because it's really stunning. If you do a quick google you'll see many threads about different plenums giving very poor to negative gains but no real numbers being thrown about or dunno graphs to prove anything.
  20. Mark at Abbey has mentioned before that the Kinetics isn't great for N/A. Spacers are a different matter altogether however and have proven gains. I've also heard the cosworth doesn't give gains on N/A Zeds either but I don't believe I've read anything from Abbey about it.
  21. On the mainland you have no need for washers, so get the V2 and be done with it
  22. A car sitting ticking over doesn't really charge the battery, at best it'll keep the charge, remember that the car is only turning over at about 700 rpm and has to power 6 coils and whatever lights, LEDs, air con etc that may be on. As Ekona said, you really gotta get her out for a decent drive to get some charge into it.
  23. I recently had a V2 fitted and asked the bodyshop to see if the washers could be fitted. They told me it could be done, but it would be a whole hell of a lot if work and even then we didn't check to see the the washer caps would fit flush to the bumper as it's shaped at different angles than the OEM or V1. I also read somewhere that something isn't long enough, but I can't remember what it was. Ultimately I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and would ruin the look of the bumper a little. Let's just hope the mot tester agrees with me
  24. Yup, I'm well aware but I'm happy to be actually insured to drive on the road with all mods declared unlike many many others who could have trouble in the case if a claim. Also their optional cover is pathetic, £25 and they'll cover mods like for like up to £500 or 10% of the value of the car, which ever is lower. So basically if you put a new set of wheels on only 2 of them will be paid for Needless to say I declined that offer of additional modification cover.
