Daytona blue is what Azure is called in America.
  2. Just out of interest, how many miles had you done / what age was it? I understand that the Nismo Y is not brilliant...
  3. It's a hard life and totally not jealous at all!!! Did I forget to mention that I officially stopped working on Monday and I am currently unemployed sitting at home having a F&F marathon......... So unfair, but I'm sure you've worked hard and deserve it!
  4. It's a hard life and totally not jealous at all!!!
  5. Thanks mate, will definitely consider it. The cost of a nights extra hotel might make it more than if I took it to my regular garage. I'll get a quote from them and see!
  6. I was going to add a Sarky comment, but it looks like someone has managed to extrapolate my name from my username!
  7. Thanks guys, I can't really have the car off the road at the moment, so will probably get one or more people out to sort it. Edit: Like you say Graham, it could have been a lot worse!
  8. We only have one car at the moment, so might not be able to get it done just yet. Was hoping to avoid another trip to the bodyshop, but at least they should have some matching paint!
  9. So, second day of giving Gill a lift to the Station whilst we wait for BMW to make and deliver her car (I know, first world problems...) and this happens as I'm leaving the station car park... I thought I'd scraped my front lip on a low kerb, but it turned out when I checked at work that the driver next to me had obviously gone into the side of me! No one stopped, so I assumed it was me... Do you think this is something a chips away / mobile repairer could sort or is this going to have to go to the bodyshop? Anyway, I shouldn't whinge too much as some other guys (And girls) have had far worse happen to their cars recently! Just annoyed as it's only 3 1/2 weeks until Wales! Any advice / recommendations greatly appreciated as usual.
  10. First post updated and group message sent. Just waiting for a couple of payments, will hopefully be ready to order Weds or Thurs.
  11. Ian was after some of these. Luckily I already have a set, so that's saved me £65... Which means I have £65 to spend on mods!
  12. That's one spotted on ebay he didn't want to share!
  13. Nice work matey, glad the car is all sorted and looking great again!
  14. Wow, what a beast... and for under £800! Stupid money really when you think an iPhone is only about £100 cheaper...
  15. Is than an RS2000? Sadly, I wasn't even born when Mk1 Escorts were new... and I'm 36...

    Need SPACER NUT

I use the driftworks ones, bought 20 after the 2nd hand spacers I bought came with mostly round nuts! Had them over a year on my spacers and no problems... not that you'd expect any...
  17. Glad it isn't just me getting sandy rain! It has to stop soon surely? Car literally kept clean for a day!
  18. The more I see your car Chris, the better it looks! She really is a bit of a looker!
  19. Is it possibly the slave cylinder? Mine went and the clutch pedal went to the floor. Usually due to overheating though, rather than a complete fail? Defo worth doing the braided line either way.
  20. Yeah totally, like they are just pootling along and then blam!! :scare:
  21. Resonators? Looks class mate. Looking forward to checking it out in a few weeks!
  22. You should be getting the work done by whoever you want. Don't feel guilty, it wasn't you who left your handbrake off. If it's serious, then you have to go through insurance or be prepared for a job you're unhappy with and no recourse... Have a chat with the dad, maybe he'd be prepared to pay for it doing where you want. It's a resonable compromise and if he's not agreeable, then go through insurance.
