Hey all, seems we have another teething issue. Despite me ordering all of the vanity mirror bulbs from 1 place, some of them seem to be too long, i suspect 29mm rather than the required 27. Im going to order 1 that should fit from a different person, if it fits my car il order the rest and send them out as required. Can anyone who's got vanity mirror bulbs please give them a shot, if they're too short, drop me a PM with your address and il get the replacements to you as soon as I can verify they're good. Might be a short while, but don't worry you will get them Sorry for the hassle.

Agreed, is say opt for a simple and common coloured base and apply any colous using vinyl. Im not saying your going to keep binning the car (I hope not!) but it makes it MUCH easier to get replacements. You can just (for example) buy a new door in the correct colour (or have it sprayed) and then have a vinyl shop cut you the replacement stickers. No point spending loads of cash on an awesome paint job or a full custom vinyl skin as its going to have a hard life !

Hopefully not, I saw something on twitter about it being a trick or treat themed box, looking forward to getting mine this month.

No!!, take that photo down, I cant be seen surfing porn at work! Anyway... Looks like you have LED sidelights too (unless these are something built into your clusters?), so why don't you drop me a PM telling me which you need and il send you what I can

Mostly, this isn't going to happen Anything A3 or above with their turbo diesels will just cover your lovely paintwork in black smoke. Was half heartedly trying to keep up with an A7 the other day (yes it was a public road and we were not racing, all was within speed limits on my side at least I was just accelerating faster than normal) and when he got on a straight coming off of the roundabout he just shot away, ive never seen anything change speed so fast. But the regular S7 have a 0-60 of 4.6 seconds and the RS7 can do a standing 1/4 mile in 11.5... Hmmm, think its time to get twin charging the zed... Also, not all Audi drivers are like it, but the vast majority seemingly are.

Oh, I wasn't saying to go moaning to them immediately, just use it as a threat. If this colleague values their job they will back off.

Im sure this was the issue, they obviously weren't MPSS tyres Im all seriousness, I cant believe how difficult the call to your mate must have been, its a lot of trust to give someone control over your pride and joy over the weekend, but clearly he knows your level of competence and felt comfortable doing that. Just seems to be one of those hairpin's that life puts in your way sometimes Odly, the day you posted this up, I had stopped by the side of a road to help a lady who had within the last 1-2 mins smashed her new (but the previous shape) Astra into the Armco on a roundabout. She said she drove this way every day, wasn't speeding and suddenly the car was coming round on her. She was in her late 30's and a doctor so not some hooligan, but sadly these things happen. I think your previous suggestion was a good one. Find a runway/track day of some sort and break out the beans again, maybe even purposefully just drop the car when in a slide to prove to yourself that every time you slide and cant recover it that it doesn't mean its going to end up in the Armco. Ive drove fairly powerful cars my entire life (my first car was a 2.0 206 GTI, not super car speeds, but for a first car, it was quick) and yet around a year ago I spun the Mrs's 1.2 60bhp Hyundai gets in the wet on a roundabout doing 15 mph, it wasn't even raining, just wet on the ground. Luckilly it was quiet and all that was hurt was my ego. Sadly driving is unpredictable and cars have a habit of biting you in the ass occasionally.

Now, for a sensible answer! lol. Im in a similar situation. In a company of 3000+ staff and for my age (24) im working at a very high level in the company. Im working with one of the company execs (no, not a PA...) and am responsible for all of the IT projects that happen throughout the company. Recently there's been some new hiring's, older people that are below me in terms of "office rank" but their experience and age significantly outweighs mine. In the past 3 weeks, two of these have tried to assert authority on me either by complaining directly to my boss about my work (when I was doing nothing wrong, and my boss agreed and told my colleague as much) or by constantly pointing out everything I ever do is wrong. Simple solution is to bite back. For a month or so I just thought "oh, its just some newbie wanting to show they can rule the roost" and then it carried on, so I "sat them down" (if I may use a gaming analogy here). They now don't talk to me in that fashion. If im wrong, im wrong, and everyone I work for knows I like to be told it, id rather fix my mistakes, but some people need to be out in their place when theyre basically just being nasty, plus its counter productive. $hit doesn't just roll downhill, and if this colleague is making your life difficult or blaming you for her mistakes, take it to HR, or even just threaten to. You will find 99% of people back off instantly, especially if you have an audit trail so to speak of the actions involved.

Well, why the hell not. Let me get a kit together for you Octet, it would include everything the current kit does, excluding the side indicators as theyre already LED. The price for a full set would be £35 (because of the lack of needing to provide indicator bulbs ) Everyone else, all kits posted as of 3PM today (apart from one which im awaiting payment for ) @maddog1982 - Yep, I figured not everyone would know which bulb was which, just keeps everything simple for you and me. When I have hundreds of LED's sat in a box its hard to tell whats what without labels
-
No probs Lyndzzz, glad they arrived
-
No problems mate Everyone still waiting, your kit will be posted tomorrow. From todays deliveries I now have 5x Full sets in stock ready to send. Interior only sets will be built within a week orso but exterior ones will have to wait.

I do that in a year

Try chucking some Seafoam through the car. may help, may not, but my old Celica was on 140,000 miles using 1-2 ltrs /1000 miles for about 6 months. One treatment of Seafoam and im sure it stopped. Probably just some gunk was sat somewhere meaning the piston rings couldn't seal properly. -
Lol no need for an argument guys :hugs: It doesn't really matter why they didn't answer the phone, but im sure RT wouldn't recommend them if it was because they're a rubbish garage. They are a race team as well so I guess they were just busy and my work request slipped through the cracks, im sure if I went in and spoke to them, they would be more accommodating, its easy to forget about an email . Shame as it would have saved me some petrol, but im not upset either way, SLy did all the work I needed, fixed all my issues and I finally got to meet him so all's good

No? Or do you mean this is th cover and you want to know the original?

Alternatively, surely alex has it?? -
pretty much the best ones you can get are these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310407328240?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 they use the best quality LED chips (made by CREE) and they are finished, as in, they have a plastic surround which makes them look better as they will be on full show through the clear lens. More expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for with LED's.
-
Haha, I knew you'd pop up in here I did call AFM twice after you recommended them and also emailed twice. Never did manage to speak to anyone via the phone. First email said they would come back to me within 24-48hrs with a price. I heard nothing so followed it up with another email 3 weeks later, never did get a reply so took my business elsewhere
-
Next lot have just been posted out, should be PM's in your inboxes if yours was in the set, but you know who you are anyway. Hopefully there will be no issues with the vanity bulbs this time, ive tried to check wherever I can!
-
Yep, ive tried 3 times. All ive ever achieved is to give myself a red face and make me feel sick.

Save a fw hundred notes and go custom. Powerflow or the likes. If you wish to convert to single exit, can be done for around 300 (cat back) or 500 ish for a dual. Usually the centrepipe (from manifold to rear) can be done for around £100.

looking forward to seeing the voting choices when these come out Definitely need a zed calendar next year, my 99p classic cars one just isn't cutting it

The cig lighter circuit is rather noisy. If I charge my phone using my charger (simply a cig lighter extension > USB Dual port charger > Genuine iPhone Lightning cable) I get a lot of electrical whine. Follows the revs exactly and sounds like the noise you get with a badly earthed sub.
