  1. I think the timing chain gasket problem is limited to hr's and does not result in oil loss just low oil pressure...
  2. I'm sure a full change with filter is just under 5 litres. Was it low?
  3. I had a tits, based on the haro master..... With gt 4 piece bars and big something rear brake......
  4. Arms sold, still got the springs, anyone parting out or wanting to refresh high mileage springs with some less used make me an offer.....
  5. 34. No children thank God. I feel lost in the relationship. Feel I've lost who I am. Want kids? Does she? I'm the same age and luckily in a very happy relationship and have been for 4 years, I know people say opposite attract but me and my other half are very similar, like the same things etc and that makes the relationship great. I know it's hard but the very fact that you've come on here and said this suggests you find it hard to talk about this to her, this is your safe place..... It's gonna get ugly but you need to talk to her to let her know there's a problem, gives her the opportunity to open up to you a bit too, I'm sure neither of you want to carry on like this, imagine what life will be like in a year if nothing changes...
  6. I don't normally get involved in these sort of discussions but how old are you? Are there children involved? What would have to change to make you and her happier?
  7. Tip for everyone, never use your tool until your fingers have gone as far as they can ......
  8. You may be able to get a helicoil fitted?
  9. This may sound like a silly question but have you wound the handbrake shoes off? Mine were a sod
  10. How do you qualify for membership of this elite group? What are the entry criteria?
  11. I was diving in the Philippines last year an found one of these, he was more than happy to stand his ground....
  12. I'd say you could but I'd worry about the amount of oil actually flowing through that part of the system. Will it be enough to have an effect on the overall oil temp?
  13. +1 on oem coolant unless you fancy going waterless. I'm using Evans powercool in mine. I don't think you want to drop to colder plugs on a relatively standard car. Going colder can lead to increased deposits on the tip of the plug as its no longer operating at the correct temperature.

    Dead Zed

Sorry to hear this, feel your pain. Never good to hear about a big build going pop... Although at 50k it's done well, hopefully on tear down there isn't too much damage and the crank can be saved.
  15. Yes, brake caliper specialist is a company that will do it.
  16. You can get the caliper repaired by someone like brake caliper specialists. I appreciate the probably doesn't help if it's on the car..... I've got a nice big brake kit for sale if you fancy an upgrade...
  17. Reluctantly these brakes are up for sale. I have been assembling the kit for the past few months but unfortunately they will not fit under my wheels... Kit includes: Front and rear akebono 370z calipers. These come with czp front fitting brackets, JDM rear bolts, New centric springs and pins. The calipers have been fully cleaned and all bleed nipples replaced. One of the rear calipers had a damaged bleed nipple thread which has been professionally repaired. Also included are brand new: Front and rear ferrodo ds2500 pads Front czp 2 piece slotted discs, these are much lighter than standard so help reduce unsprung weight. Rear stoptech slotted discs 1700 + postage for the whole kit. Depending on interest I may split the discs and pads off if someone just wants the calipers and brackets.
  18. With the acl you have no control over your clearance. Oem bearings allow you to chose bearings based on crank journal size etc.
  19. Just had it back on, looks like the reason it bound up was some residue from old wheel weights, cleaned them and it now turns fully but leaves a score mark from the bottom edge of the caliper. I've had a feeler gauge in it and the whole of the edge of the bottom half is in contact with the rim. I'd guess is needs a few mm taken off, I reckon there's 4mm clearance on the top half... Packed the studs with a few washers and tried again but the wheel won't even turn. Looks like these will be going up for sale tomorrow....
