  1. Good effort With regards to the 5 hours thing; it takes as long as it takes really, people all work at a different pace so some will do it quicker others will do it slower. The finish you get is more important than how long it takes.
  2. No. But Dan might shout at you if you don't... The car won't explode into a fireball if you have mismatched tyres but you should be aware that you will have different levels of grip at different times with them. Personally I'd change the tears now and then match the fronts when they need replacing. Or change all 4 now and sell the fronts to recoup some of the cost.
  3. 452's were replaced by the 453's months ago.
  4. Because many, many people are all too easily lead by marketing and PP don't usually include this in their adverts for some reason...
  5. Is what you should have said shortly before listening to a rental guy have a heartattack over the phone. How very dare you! :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: :scare: My comment was a based on established facts, thus proving that WW could not possibly have been involved in any form.
  6. So what we've learnt from this thread is that Stu and a number of the forum member's wives have crashed their cars outside (or into) their own homes. Thus, the only logical conclusion is that Stu drives like a woman...
  7. The standard HU needs to be divorced from the original car and then paired to the new for it to work. If either one of these isn't done you'll have a tough job on to get it to work in another car. I suspect the one you bought, Zeus, wasn't divorced before being removed and sold. Either way though, if you're buying a HU you're better off upgrading to an aftermarket offering with more functionality.
  8. It's all dried up ( ) a bit of late. I've currently got no means of washing the car where I'm staying which means it's distustingly filthy at present, as such the beading is heavily compromised hence no pictures for a while. I can't even suggest when the next update is even likely at the moment. It's barely getting driven either at the moment, the roads around London are **** compared to up north.
  9. Yep, very good products. The down side to AF is the boutique pricing, but the products themselves are good and (generally) work well.
  10. It's okay, SRP will save the day...
  11. I was thinking the same thing, but about this attached to a bottle of water; http:// http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/atomiza-standard-spray-head-cat25.html
  12. Erm... ...I'm going to say; yes, if it has been done, it probably can be done. Just a wild stab in the dark though, you understand.
  13. You still wouldn't be able to snow foam with this - you'd be hard pushed to find a lance that fit it, for a start, and even harder pushed still to get it to produce enough pressure to foam anyway! Even if you could get the foam on, foaming is entirely pointless if you can't give it a proper, thorough rinse with a decent water source - the purpose of using a pressure washer is not for the volume of water, but the pressure itself will remove dirt than just using a hose (or this!) in the same way. It might be a bit more hassle but you really will be better off going to your mum's house. This simply doesn't offer anything useful that I can see. That's just my opinion though, waste your money as you see fit.
  14. The actual arms? Expensive to replace: easier and cheaper just to remove and repaint yourself. There's a guide on here somewhere for that.
  15. In that case, it'd be better than just using a QD but that just makes it an expensive alternative to using a rinseless wash. Not sure I see the point at that price to be honest, but each to their own.
  16. Between 2-9 bar compared to the bottom-of-the-market (cheaper) Nilfisk at 110 bar is a significant difference. That would struggle to clean a car much at all, considering that tap water pressure is typically around 1 bar. If you've got access to an electrical source, you're better off using a proper pressure washer that can draw from a bucket/water butt. If you've not got access to an electrical source, you're better off going somewhere that you can use a proper pressure washer. It's a good theory, but there's a reason these aren't very common.
  17. They are. And they last longer than any others I've ever tried too.
  18. Holy crap really? I figured it was only major mods, like forced induction or exhaust etc. Does this go for OEM spec stuff too? So like in my pictures I have 2 sets of wheels, do I need to declare it every time I swap them for winter etc? In theory, yes. Anything that isn't fitted by the manufacturer when the car leaves the factory should be declared. With winter wheels, if you explain when taking out the policy you should be okay but they ask you to let them know when you swap them over anyway.
  19. Also, both of those mods you mention would need to, and therefore should, be declared to your insurance...
  20. 2nd party would be the insurance company, no? Or you're the 2nd and they're the 1st, whatever.
  21. I must be missing something, but isn't this just the system we have now? Minimum requirement is 3rd party, anything more is optional. You are, government to provide 3rd party insurance as per thread above Ah I see now. Balls to that, you think private companies are expensive just wait and see how much the government would want to charge you for that privilege.

  23. So; Dan doing his Porsche crush. Chris Evans with his penchant for Ferrari. All that's left is a McLaren fanboy and
  24. This accounts for the half dozen unfinished engine swap projects on the forum.
