  1. Love that colour Darren. Glad you didn't go for the original orange
  2. Can I go against the General consensus here and say I don't like those wheels on it. The standard 370 wheels are much nicer imo Love everything else though
  3. Would be interesting after a crash Officer - what happened Driver - well, what happened right, I put the car in insane mode, and then this badger right.................
  4. Had them on the s2000. They are only powder coated black, first few applications of the brakes take the coating on the braking surface off and leave it normal silver colour. The coating did remain in the groves and the edges though. Braking wise, no better or worse than plain discs were. Good value for money though
  5. 6 months from the date of the offence for the paperwork to be presented to court. I think the summons needs to be with a reasonable time from then.
  6. This is true, 10%+2 is just what most police set their cameras/guns at to guarantee a higher conviction rate. You can get done for 1mph over but that would be a bit harsh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Although that is true, any challenge that went in, quoting the guidelines set by capo would win and the case instantly thrown out by CPS. The CPS are @*!# scared of loosing cases in court and any hint that they will they won't run with it. If you saw some of the @*!# that I've seen been dropped by CPS over the years you would be shocked.
  7. There is no 32mph limit anywhere in the country. If she was doing 32mph in a 30 zone she would fall within the allowance. The only way she would have been done at 32mph is if it was in a 20mph zone The above would be impossible to put in place. Everybody would appeal the tight ones because of the inaccuracy in speedos. It would cause a bigger problem and delay in the justice system than is already there. What gets me about all this speed kills bollocks is that it is perfectly safe to be driving at higher speeds if it is done sensibly and away from built up areas. We've all done it, anyone who says they haven't is a liar. They spend fortunes on catching people speeding, what they need to do is put that money into putting more police on the roads to catch the people driving like tossers, that's when speed becomes dangerous. The ones that are in and out of traffic, if they get flashed they get 3 points, nothing is done about their dangerous manner of driving
  8. Copied from the CPS website, for those who can't do maths Speed Enforcement The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) has issued speed enforcement policy guidance, which suggests that enforcement will normally occur when a driver exceeds the speed limit by a particular margin. This is normally 10 per cent over the speed limit plus 2 mph. It also sets guidelines for when it would not be appropriate to issue a fixed penalty notice but to issue a summons instead (see below). Note that these are guidelines and that a police officer has discretion to act outside of them providing he acts fairly, consistently and proportionately. Speed limit: 20 mph ACPO charging threshold: 24 mph Summons: 35 mph Speed limit: 30 mph ACPO charging threshold: 35 mph Summons: 50 mph Speed limit: 40 mph ACPO charging threshold: 46 mph Summons: 66 mph Speed limit: 50 mph ACPO charging threshold: 57 mph Summons: 76 mph Speed limit: 60 mph ACPO charging threshold: 68 mph Summons: 86 mph Speed limit: 70 mph ACPO charging threshold: 79 mph Summons: 96 mph
  9. 32 in a 30 they would never prosecute for Charging guidelines make allowances for speed limit + 10% + 2mph to allow for discrepancies with speedos
  10. Police forces, sorry services, are spending millions of pounds on ANPR systems to catch criminals using the roads. Yet they are also spending thousands of pounds on hand held cameras that film, which is then used as evidence, to prosecute everyday motorists. No need to stop the car at all, they just download the footage I'm not sure what other people's views are but personally I think that a level of discretion should be shown by police, something that can't be done by cameras, they should be stopping people and talking to them, getting into their cars if necessary, searching them, checking insurance etc. not standing by the side of the road generating figures and pissing off normal people. Lazy policing and hardly giving a good image to the public. I got done by one doing 46 going into a 50 zone from a 30. He was stood about 10 metres (I'm not exaggerating) from the 50mph sign. Now I know technically that is wrong but surely words of advice would have sufficed. Luckily he didn't stop me though, or he would have discovered that I was drunk, had no insurance and a dead body in the boot.
  11. Mine were spot on using the original bolts, they are only frp so will flex a little.
  12. If I don't chuck them bitches out, them bitches makes no money. This pimping game ain't easy
  13. Awesome sounding car. I still have to go with my favourite modified car noise as the 3 or 4 rotor rx7s though
  14. It's political rubbish. There is a chance that some nutter could pop down the shop, by the stuff he needs, build a bomb and walk into the local shopping centre and bang, terrorist attack This is nothing more that a reaction to,the commissioners most recent press conference about uk nationals at terror training camps. Like we didn't know what was happening already You need to look at the upper hierarchy of government, police ambulance etc as a prostitute running a nuclear power station. No idea at all what they are doing as they have never done the job, and If they have they were political yes men who were @*!# at the job but passed a few exams and gave the right answers

Would the comparing of 2 certain cars not be down to what the buyer is after? When I was looking at the zed, I also looked at evos, s2000s (which I now have) civic type R, integra DC5 and scoobys. Those cars were comparable for me because I wanted something japanese They fell into similar price tags They all have reputations as being fun cars If I was to have looked at other factors Seats Age Top speed acceleration Etc Then they wouldn't be comparable. So in conclusion, when buying a car the comparability is down to the buyers options. When reading a spec sheet it is down to whatever it says on the tin etc So basically everybody is right depending on how you look at it So lets call it a draw between you all, your all runners up with reasonable arguments and I'll take the win on this one please
  16. If you have read something in the manual would it be something to do with the cruise control and adjusting the speed by the button? Just a thought. And also, these forums are for finding stuff out and educating yourself on stuff you don't understand. Better to ask a question than try and blag it, the internet is full of people that do that. Not everybody was born a mechanic with a Haynes manual stuck up their arse. And as far as I know there are different techniques that could be considered engine breaking, not answering your question though as I can't see why these would be in the manual 1st is down shifting into a lower gear, lower gear will use the engines lower momentum and cause the car to slow. Rev matching would be advised in this case to prevent as much wear on the clutch. 2nd, is to just come off the throttle and the engine, along with gravity and other opposing forces will slow the car, gear and speed obviously affect the deceleration. Useful on motorways with speed cameras etc. Covered as acceleration sense in road craft.
  17. What about one of the air socks that are used to protect the filter from water. It won't solve it but you can at least take that off a clean it rather than having to remove the filter every time
  18. How about a focus st estate? They are big inside, comfortable and from personal experience that I won't go into the new focus are safe and take a crash well. Will save you £10k aswell
  19. If you dont ask you dont get
  20. It is tilted but the centre part is at a flatter angle, the sides are angled more, I think so it flows with the roof
  21. Cheers mate, It's a j's racing replica so designed to fit the s2000. I'm sure it would be easy enough to get new brackets fabricated for it but would need to be designed.
  22. New BGW from tarmac. Excuse the poor quality pictures
