  1. I like it, nice shot Frankly, I am more interested in where the camera was either mounted (how?) or who was holding it (even bigger HOW?)
  2. They are having no luck with anything over there, are they...
  3. I have a pair of the BOSE ear phones, they are very comfortable. Cant advise on their gym credentials, as I have never been in one!
  4. I am a secret "The Chap Magazine" subscriber, so I get all this sillyness in advance
  5. Holy sh!t, there's a recession proof industry! I thought it was just MacDonalds that were laughing to the bank!!
  6. Yes, it’s like a herding instinct
  7. I dont think I understand anything that you have written But blinky sounds like a nervous tick, so I am going with Nostradamus.

  11. Will these do for your driving/gay/serial killing? So sorry bet you wish you hadn't started this
  12. The GTR aside for a minute I can tell you with some confidence that, if there was ever a car crying out for some good tasteful mods, it’s one of these things. The biggest frustration we have as an enthusiastic dealer of Jukes, is the fact that we have little to no extras to sell on these cars to personalise them. There is loads of photo shopped ideas on the net, but no one has have the balls to do them job right on one. eg: http://www.nikeride.com/nissan-jukes-hot-hatch-treatment-from-impul/
  13. From a differant point of view. Yes, to everything mentioned above. The industry as a whole is getting worse, due to all the things you have all mentioned, have mentioned and will continue to mention on this forum. The internet isn’t helping either, the dealers are now competing nationally rather than a 10 mile radius, as such the profit margins are reduced, and the first thing out of the window to hit the budgets is training & quality recruitment! The difficulty is we are now getting into a vicious circle where the customers are coming in looking for a fight before they have got out of the car! I have done this daft job for nearly 20 years, and when I started the job wasn’t run right , but the plans where to put it right to be fair by the manufactures, and steadily from about 1993, the stage was set and things where taken more seriously. Training improved, and a sense of this is a proper thing to get into, was begun. But since about 2006 things have been in decline generally. This positions are now seen as jobs rather than careers, and the companies treat their staff appallingly. Some of us keep struggling on against the odds, but surprised by your statement, I am not.
  14. At the risk of making a puerile comments on something very serious towards public sector workers. I think the reason the private sector is so upset by this, is that the Public's are striking about a long term issue i.e. pensions, whereas in the Private sector most folks are concerned about their jobs on a daily basis, before we start talking about pensions etc. I also find it hard to believe that the Public sector don’t follow simple business rule for provisions on NI and pensions?!? I am however.... sympathetic isn’t the right word, but share equal annoyance, that the fat cats in the local governments, are paid so much, for from what I can see is to basically administer "Bungs" from contractors! However I am also interested in, if you think you are going to finish work at 66, what you do propose to do with your remaining years, and how long do think your pension will last give the increasing mortality rates vs. the cost of living? My wife (Paralegal) came up with a great retirement plan: 1. Basically you make a list of all the people you really hate. 2. Wait you have retired from work and all your money has run out and or you have provided what you can for your off spring, thusly avoiding the 40% death duty tax. 3. When all that’s done, get your list out. 4. Buy a high powered rifle. 5. Systemically kill everyone that’s upset you 6. Spend the rest of your life in a minimum security prison FOC, with some pocket money from HM Gov. for good behaviour! Sounds daft for a cheap laugh, but it beats the sh!t out of freezing to death at 90 because you can’t afford to heat your poxy flat. I am not a socialist, but the point I am trying to make is that fairness is one thing, a start to the problem. However the overwhelming problem with living in the UK is, whatever you try and do to "get ahead", is met with so much red tape and difficult whatever you try and do in any walk of life, is swimming up stream through custard. We live in a secret repressive state, which is valed in bullsh!t, and is sometimes just as scary as totalitarian governments like China IMO.
  15. Whilst I am pleased you reported them, and even more surprised that the cops did something, the tragedy is that when all comes to all, the one thing the police are interested in (as far as driving is concerned) is speeding, yes its important in the town, but is it really more important than cars in poor working order (i.e. lights out) arse-hole drivers that don’t drive sensibly in poor conditions, folks that cause road rage through selfish road use, or in this case straight out dangerous driving? Yes, your example is hard to prove if it went to court, but a knock at the door could save someone’s life in the future.
  16. Right folks Took all the advice, and went into Jessops with either a Cannon EOS550D or a Nikon D3100 in mind. 40 minutes later I had bought a Nikon 1 J1......! The reason being that’s it does everything the other two does but without all the esoteric knowledge required to set it up. Plus Beverley has the attention span of a gold fish, and would beat me with it if she get frustrated with all the manual functions http://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/product/digital-cameras/nikon-1/nikon-1-j1 Paid £600 for the J1 with a twin lens upgrade. I have to say that the bird in the shop was very good and even showed me some pictures that her friend had taken with the J1 and speaking as a Camera geek, she was extremely impressed with the sorts of pictures that where taken with very little set up. Thanks again for all you guidance I will update you on any progress!! T
  17. For what it’s worth, I am guessing that you passed this land mark on the way down to Chester THE Street? http://www.lansdowne-photography.co.uk/assets/photos/lifestlye/angel%20of%20the%20north.jpg Wouldn’t it make sense to convert this to a wind mill, energy thing, by putting a turn table at the base of the statue? Just a thought then you wouldn’t have to worry about the wind direction or big propellers. Plus on a milder days you could dry Gateshead washing on it too!
  18. They are really starting to pick up in value now too http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=247
