  1. Like someone else said....V8 project Shame the engine is fooked because it looks like a nice car otherwise
  2. I think they look ok to me, let us know how it goes
  3. Well from looking at the site they have done a lot of fairly nice cars i.e. multiple c63 amg mercs. I too have been looking at these guys in the past for a custom single exit option (just never got round to contacting them regarding prices) but they have various options on ebay where you "win" the auction and they wil do you a custom exhaust to your specification ranges from a shade over £200 to nearly £600 (I think that is for a dual system). They also say lifetime warranty on their work so cant imagine you can go wrong really? Brum is a bit of a trip for me or I would have gone up and had a look tbh. I too used to have a VX220 (NA) piper catback system and on occasion I would fit the decat pipe but that was silly loud haha.
  4. I had a similar experience on Friday fitting my coilovers, only managed to do the fronts as i ran out of light but things just didnt want to come undone did manage it in the end, however couldnt refit my strut brace as the threads on the top mounts stick out further than oem shocks so im going to have to cut a bit out of my strutbrace in order to fit (id prefer that to cutting down the threads on the top mount). plenty of knuckles lost in the process and managed to get a huge blood blister by smashing it on the edge of the disk undoing the bolt holding the brake line to its bracket.
  5. 1. Glenn-350z 2. Freebird (+7 price) 3. Adymi16 4. MK-Ultra (if works with HR engine) 5. peterboon 6. SparksCW (7+ price) 7. leodspider (7+ price) does this mean its a go? confirmations from everyone but we got 7
  6. Hi guys going to be lowering the car soon (have coilovers waiting to fit) dont really fancy wrecking a genuine Nismo N1 bumper was thinking of getting hold of an N2 replica instead as I wont cry if it touches the floor. Just wondering how much it would be worth selling?
  7. Is it only a full kit that will be available or will you be able to buy parts such as the skirts separately?
  8. So this is why China has been buying up all the carbon fibre...good stuff
  9. Oh i completely agree that JDM stuff is better im not saying that it isnt, its just that once you have finally got the product in this country and paid everyone for all the handling and deliveries and taxes it works out to be so much more. If I lived in Japan I could get Work wheels for a reasonable price along with all the other stuff I could ever want, pretty sure we dont have anything they want for trade haha
  10. ooh choices choices...I havnt really changed my mind on the buddy club id still love one but im feeling the single exit. Just dont really understand why a single exit is priced similarly to dual exits when they must be far easier to manufacture. Im trying to be a cheap bastard currently as i have just bought decats and coilovers Edit: That agency exhaust, is the whole thing Ti or just the backbox?
  11. Now I was originally looking at a scorpion a while ago, however after talking to them at autosport (on the trade day) they really didnt want to give me the time of day to chat about anything, so am a bit reluctant to give them my business I know it sounds petty, but considering the calibre of other companies there who were more than happy to talk. The exhaust is £374 but they don't produce a Y pipe either do they? So what is my best option for a Y pipe out of interest? Is the japspeed one terrible in some way? Is there any other similar priced alternatives? Cheers again
  12. I meant Y pipe back inclusive of the Y pipe, I guess i should have said cat back lol. I dont really have thousands of pounds to spend on a system. Was thinking I may just buy a japspeed K1 but many people on here seem to have had fitment issues. For a japspeed Y pipe and exhaust it comes in at a total of £430 which is pretty cheap, not entirely sure what other relatively cheap options there are
  13. As per title folks, I know I will probably be hated for this but still would love a single exit system, but open to anything really. Think that my standard exhaust is blowing so on the way out. So if someone has anything let me know I need Y pipe back as I already have decats waiting to go on Cheers
  14. Same for me mate, im 23 its about £300 cheaper for me to insure than my VX220 I previously had
  15. Nitron NTR R1, I come from a VX220 as a previous car. The serious enthusiasts and guys who race chose Nitron for their suspension setups, and frankly the build quality looks outstanding. (took a very close look at this years autosport). I myself used to have a set of two way Ohlins, but I did not pay for those the previous owner did. Or I undoubtedly would have ended up with Nitrons.
  16. Cant believe no one has said a Stagea, our workshop one we had was immense. Ok so it was an epic build as it had a forged RB26 in it running 800bhp at the wheels. But there are generally much more sensible normally. Get an Autech version one, or if you can one with a R34 GTR front end conversion, they look amazing! i.e.
  17. Im also from West Sussex, in Haywards Heath. Welcome to the club
  18. are we allowed to talk about kiddies bikes in here (bmx) lol
  19. All sounds too dodgey for my liking, I know the Nismo stuff is a huge plus but I wouldnt base my decision on a car that had that fitted. With all things considered the Cat D and the engine swap and the fact it was kept quiet, its probably not even a genuine nismo kit either. You can get decent copies of it too if you decide its something you really want, and just buy a standard trim car
  20. This would be the crazy mechanism where a glove box in a normal car would normally be, and you counting the inset with two cupholders in the centre console as the other ones? The exhaust quietness saddens me, however I think mine was replaced with an OE one before i got it so prob UK spec, and no matter how much fuel I put in mine she doesnt seem to fill up, i get scared when it reaches 3 figures and stop hahaha. But what size is the tank meant to be if its not 80L? Love this thread finding out so many things i never knew!
  21. As part of the course im on, a group of us had to build two caterhams last year. I always wanted to do this however its not for the faint of hearted in all honesty. Not a lot from the factory seems to be right and nothing just seems to go together as easily as you would expect. I will just say we were lucky to be in a full workshop in order to complete the build, as some things need altering in order to fit. Since building one, id personally never own one the quality is just poor in my opinion and caterham themselves didnt seem to care that the kits were not right either That being said if i was going to build a kit car I would definitely look into a westfield megabusa, and I too was at autosport and saw the westys from a distance and they looked rather nice it must be said. But I didn't get a chance to get a closer look.
  22. the one currently on there is 330x178 so next question is, two jdm plates or a uk front and jdm rear?
