  5. and my go faster stripes - don't forget those
  6. not exactly - his, as far as I know are the standard red VHT decals definately (when I get it right)....................my spraying skills are not as good as my brain says they are
  7. I suppose I really knew there were no insulating properties - it was just my way saying "sod it", "go for it"
  8. the tardis or the callipers
  9. I've heard they can reach upto around 400 deg C under heavy sustained use - hence I'll find out for sure when we hit North Wales (unless I follow Colin - 'cos he doesn't use his breaks at all )
  10. aaahhhhhh strobe.......................my eyes - this one now needs to be added to "they shouldn't be on the road....."
  11. yes please - but need to wait to make sure that the colour survives the heat undoubtedly That is surprising since I would have guessed you would have missed a few bits on the top, being hard to reach and all that. Looks good though. What stickers you gonna put back? Nissan ones? I'll have you know I used a skirting board ladder re the decals - see above - undecided what yet
  12. undoubtedly
  13. ok - so here it is................a bit of an experiment really, so may have to be re-done (North Wales run will tell for sure) and you'll realise why in a mo so in (my version of) the zed shed - waiting to start as she look now wheel off can you work out what I'm going to do yet ? started the rub down - as its only HT paint, may have gone a bit overboard on this - may just do lighter version on the remainder also a neat little trick i found on youtube - silver foil protect the rest of the paintwork now I forgot to photo the primer - used 3 coats of 700 - 1000 deg C after degreasing and cleaning then onto the colour - I didn't want the standard red - with the colour of the car in the sun being purple(ish) I went for an anodised red - its still VHT but only to 230 deg C - this then being the experimental bit - my theory being that the primer and clear coat (upto 480 deg C) will protect the lower temp paint - this obviously could go completely pear shaped and I will have to strip it all off again...............we'll see time will tell.............but so far I like the look
  14. my name is ioneabee........................and I didn't resist but as with Attak..............I just said hello and tried to take the thread off topic by talking about ebay .................it didn't work
  15. i had mine checked out by him as well - he doesn't need all the fancy geo printouts (though its nice to look at) Mine was innitially showing an annomaly, with slight out on the chasis, but had been corrected at the factory - so he said all perfectly correct and normal. As i recall he charged me £25 because other than checking it he didn't do anything top guy
  16. ^^ that sounds good
  17. yes.............if they delay it again - but he says it should be before the 10th July
  18. corrected that for you
  19. and I wouldn't see the point to be honest agreed
