  1. Sorted now (hopefully). I ordered the new unit from Nissan, should arrive with me on Monday so can swap everything over and return to a working car
  2. How are you enjoying talking to yourself Keyser?
  3. Quick update. I popped to a friends over the bank holiday weekend to get my brake pads swapped over as they were advised as being low on my recent service. Took us an age to get the pins out of the caliper's as 40k miles of brake dust had pretty much locked them in place. After much fuss, we had everything swapped over and the car is driving well again. Obligatory comparison picture below - my old pads were just about to this the wear marker so good timing all in all. Not so good update. I am a complete tw@ and when reversing earlier this morning managed to shatter my rear light cluster. Luckily the cluster was the only part of the car that took damage - all paint work I think is OK, which I guess I can be thankful for as it would be a different situation should I have bent the boot lid or rear quarter. Just sourcing a replacement second hand unit at the moment as option 1, the other option is to get a new case/shell from Nissan at similar cost and swap over my clusters electrics.
  4. Hi Tom. The ride with the lowered springs is slightly stiffer than the stock suspension but overall I am very pleased. I was expecting the new setup to be a much firmer ride but it is still pretty soft all things considered. You will find that your front chin spoiler will catch on everything, but its only a bit of plastic so not the end of the world
  5. Breaker on eBay has one on a car - £150 plus postage for the unit which I didn't think was too bad. I have also spoken with my local Nissan dealer and with my discount I can get the Rear Cluster shell for £168.xx with my discount applied. This means I would need to swap over the wiring and electrical bits over from my damaged unit. Hmmm
  6. Yep - I am a complete spoon and managed to shatter my rear light cluster this morning. I was reversing into a space and managed to hit the pointy end of a lorry If anyone happens to be breaking a 370z, or upgraded to aftermarket units etc please let me know what you have. I've contacted the current collective of breakers on eBay so will see what comes of it. Just REALLY frustrated with myself, especially with back to back car shows this weekend. Cheers, Matt
  7. Finally caught up with this last night after a busy weekend of chores. It wasn't as bad as social media made me believe it was going to be. I am pretty disappointed that the didn't mix up the format of the show - now was a prime time to try and do things differently. The whole thing with the Stig....'Some say he *whatever*' was starting to get a bit long in the tooth even when Clarkson did it. But it will take them time to get into the groove and become mates on screen, just like the other 3. Recording set and chairs etc was much of the same, with the exception of a new coffee table. Polished block with the glass resting on rods and pistons, and LEDs....old news had mine ages now!
  8. Agree with Ioneabee on the pic, also the one below. Really nice mate Been trawling through my collection lately came across these ones. Getting the Pano printed up for the house.
  9. Looks awesome mate! Exact same mods I have on mine, look and sound great
  10. Was cruising back home the other weekend and a guy went past on the dual carriage way - his passenger was almost falling out of the window looking at the Z and mouthed 'nice car' with a thumbs up. Always nice to see it appreciated
  11. fixed that for you remember we have the hills to play on and sheep are sacred .... Fixed that for you
  12. I had my Ray's refurbished a couple of years back on the old 350 and the team managed to colour the 'Nissan' part and then the main cap for me. I'm pretty sure they come apart by removing the plastic welds and re-gluing. I'm getting the 370 Rays done in the next few weeks so will find out again
  13. Sounds like you are doing the right thing ATM anyway mate, so no real need for the timer. I also heard rumour on Turbo Timers being used to invalidate insurance claims as you can run the car without the key being in. My old MR2 came with one, was amusing for a while to get out and stand next to the car and have it shut down automatically. But I removed it after a while. TBH, if an owner can't manage to drive the last few miles gently to look after the car and absolutely has to have a turbo timer to force them into a cool down phase - then they don't deserve the car. It's not hard really.
  14. Ive always liked white wheels on yellow cars
  15. That thread was hilarious!!! Nice finish to a Friday You'd think with all the money thrown at the paint work (which looks awful) he would have at least fitted some springs to it
  16. Yeah tickets were all sent out in good time, booking was easy etc. TBH I'm happy that its a smaller show as it was always a real chore to walk the whole way round the circuit to see the stands, and fighting your way past all the people
  17. If I'm reading the map right there are no clubs at Quarry this year, just public parking. Looks to be a quiet one this year. I'll be there as a passenger with a mate of mine on the Banzai stand. Look forward to seeing some Zed's
  18. Oh the noise!! Awesome build mate, sounds incredible
  19. Funny pic of mine by Dan at Japfest, guy in the red top finds #ZeddyMcZedFace amusing
  20. Aaaah such a tease Granville!! That first pic looks awesome!! S3 looks smart though always had a liking for them.
  21. We've just watched 'Ledgend'. I pulled a face when it was suggested, but a very good movie I've started reading up on these this week. Looking for mid range - if you find anything interesting please share
  22. Hey dude, welcome Did you used to run a white MR2 V6? Kelvin?... I'm sure we've met a few times over the years at JAE etc as I remember the username. Any who, welcome in. I moved to a 350z after the MR2s and loved it! You're new toy looks nice and clean mate. Any plans? oh, and the thing in your centre console is a bluetooth adapter for your incar phone kit.
  23. I don't think it's shopped Matt imo I just think it looks strange because the Zed owner has probably had to cut/modify his front bumper to allow for the ridiculous size of those alloys. Wonder how it off roads? Good ground clearance either way. We looking at the same picutre?...Z?..
