  1. I read that the car failed on rear brake pads, so presumed only brake pads were replaced, no mention of discs.
  2. I don't know what shocks me more, £180 for new rear pads fitted or not double checking the cradle bolts are tight. Presuming the pads were stupidly expensive at £50 and the garage charged 30 mins labour. That would equate to £260 per hour inc vat labour charge. Nice work if you can get it. For sure mistakes happen in any environment, with what you describe has happened there will have been a warning noise before the end result. I have taught my wife and daughter to listen to there cars for any odd sounds as one day stopping and checking may save their lives. If I was you approach the garage in a polite manner, ask for any money you are out of pocket for regarding recovery and a goodwill gesture for the poor quality of workmanship. Threatening this and that will just get you nowhere I suspect.
  3. A very interesting track day yesterday. Started damp and slippy, dried nicely, then blizzard after lunch. Good to meet Ken and Andy with the Beemer. Unfortunately my track time was curtailed do to no headlights on the Mazda racecar.
  4. I haven't used this garage but I have used similar venues and in my opinion they are very good for the car enthusiast. They usually have a skilled tech on site if you get into difficulties. Not expensive and so much better than working in the street with jacks.
  5. I will be there in my Mazda mx5 racecar.
  6. Friday for me. Business and pleasure. Tie up all loose ends for 5 club Mazda racings tyre deal for 2015. Purchase new race helmet and Hans device for my first year racing this year.
  7. Sorry for laughing, youngsters of today. The most amusing thread ive read for while.
  8. The disc runout needs to measured with the wheels on. Its a given that this will show the disc is not running true when assembled. Hence why initially it appears to be fixed but after a period of time the judder re appears. DTV is the outcome, It is important to find the source of the problem and eliminate rather than just keep fitting new discs. I fear you are in for a long frustrating time with Nissan. Gstraw on here had a very similar issue and after about 8 months of frustration with Nissan brought the car down south and I fixed it for him. Good Luck
  9. Unfortunately Nissan have no idea how to solve this issue. I won't say its common but I have fixed several 370`s with this problem. I am based in Cambridgeshire if I can help.
  10. Welcome bud, Really enjoyed my 350 but have to say my 370 suits me better. I am Cambridgeshire based if you fancy a runout. Mines not a daily drive. Weekend beast. Such a rush when I do go out.
  11. Not me Colin, havnt got any money to deposit having bought a fully race prepped mx5 ready for a full race season in 2015. As for the sex shop, the 370 wouldn't be big enough for my purchases.
  12. City link do seem to get bad press but I have a contract with them for my business and only 1 parcel has gone missing in 4 years. This was dealt with OK. City link has had a new head honcho for about 18 months and for me I have no complaints.
  13. What car will you be driving
  14. I applied for no tickets, got no tickets. Win Win, Can't stand rugby. If anybody I know gets some and wants to share I will post up.
  15. The first moment I saw 'GUNS' was when you brought the car to me to solve the judder. From that moment on I was drawn into buying a zed. First the Azure 350 and only a year or so later a Pearl White 370. Thank you for the influence and good luck with your next car.
  16. Absolute tosh, I look at hundreds of discs and cannot agree.
  17. Especially without stripes to slow it down your zed knowledge is begining to show its age...............of course stripes make it go faster Everyone knows stripes and pearl white wheels go even faster.
  18. Backing up the fact pearl white is the quickest colour. Ha Ha.
  19. If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, its fair to say it is a duck. I can hear the alarm bells from here.
  20. JUNKtion 17 strike again, I have posted previously about this company. Things don't seem to have improved,
  21. For sure that is your problem, get the mating face of the wheels back to nice clean aluminium. REMOVE all the powder coat.
  22. I have never known anybody in the trade to discount 25% that easy. That and the fact its in Wisbech in my opinion you should BE VERY VERY WARY.
  23. It would not do any harm, always keep the mating face of wheels clean.
