  1. Approach courier company's for a business account. Check a few out as they don't all have the same charging structure. I currently have an APC account which works well for my business.
  2. Go and look at the other 12 in your 80 mile radius first. Most cars I have ever looked at before buying is 13. Other than that go with the knowledge of your 1st experience with JUNKTION 17 and be more thorough over the deal.
  3. The yellowstuff compound has changed in the last year. I was using these in my Mazda racecar but found them short in performance and longevity, switched to Carbotechs x8. The Carbotechs have now done 4 race weekends 4 test days and 3 trackdays and I checked them last week and still 5 mm of pad remaining. Don't get any squeal on track. There is dust but not excessive in my opinion. The brake initial bite and feel is excellent only need about 50% of the pressure on the pedal compared to the yellows. They cost £300 all round on the Mazda but without doubt they last considerably longer than 3 sets of yellows and are far superior in performance. I have recently helped one of my customers with brake judder generated on track in there Audi TTRS, they have now fitted Carbotechs x8 and they tell me the braking is transformed.
  4. Many thanks Hodaka, That is going to cost me but I think I will be having the best looking Mazda mx5 on the grid next year.
  5. Any chance you could show a Mazda mx5 mk1 in bright turquoise, I am thinking of changing my colour scheme on my race car. Thanks
  6. I think it's well documented in this forum about JUNKTION 17, prepare yourself to be right totally shafted somewhere along the line.

    Breaks squeal

Fit sticky backed shims on the back of the brake pads and refit.
  8. Changing to a different manufacturers discs won't give any better results. You need an investigation on you wheels, hubs etc to establish the cause.
  9. I started my business from home 5 years ago. I am now in an industrial unit. PM me if I can help you.
  10. Some tyres can have a flat spot on them, balancing won't stop the juddering. Watch when tyres on the balancer to see if tyre has a flat spot.
  11. Was the same for me 5 years ago when I started my business but with time the work always comes, dry spells come and go. As long as you have busy weeks it will sort itself out with time. I now don't stress when I have a quiet week, just do all the things I want to do. If you can survive 3 years you will go on to prosper. I am now at the point where at times I have so much work its ridiculous. My next problem is possibly employing someone to help me.
  12. I have voiced my opinion of this company a couple of years ago, they may claim they only had 1 unhappy customer out of 200. I made the effort to visit the Peterborough showroom when searching for a 350 but within 10 minutes after a look and a chat to the sales person I new I would not be dealing with them. My point is how many potential sales are they losing because the company is now viewed in such a bad light. Always in business, more is better.
  13. Very good fast road pad, ceramic pad so will not squeal. Nice feel even from cold. Reds will not stand up to prolonged track use. Use them on my own and customer cars.
  14. Had this 2 years ago, some foreigner chancing his luck. Claimed I had door dinged his car and the claim was £500. Insurance company's generally do not investigate for such a small some. They usually payout, you lose your no claims and bingo they raise your premium. Push it till a loss adjuster gets involved, then make sure you have a diary tracking your movements be it work, driving etc. I won my case but the loss adjuster said it was only my living by my diary which was acceptable as evidence.
  15. Having just past my ARDS test, my first ever race will be on March 28th. Excited isn't the word.
  16. Its not on 2010 models, pretty sure 2011 onwards only.
  17. Best colour, enjoy. Took me a while to convince myself to change from 350 to 370 but best decision I ever made.
  18. Gunmetal is standard wheel colour on GT Edition cars from 2011.
  19. Press the open button on the fob twice.

    my NANKANG's

Nankang ns20's are very much a budget tyre, the block design with multiple sypes in the tread blocks will give a very squidgy feel under load. As Ekona would say these tyres are right up there as ditchfinders on a rear wheeled car with around 300bhp. This year the NS20 is the tyre to be used in the 5 club Mazda mx5 mk1 championship, after some testing it is quite obvious the cars are going to be a bit lively.
  21. Looks a good buy for someone, I know its early in the year but can't see this hanging around long.
  22. Depending on which day you require, I have room in my workshop. I am based near Ely Cambridgeshire.
  23. As I said originally, that is SHOCKING !!!! Ripping off lady customers is oh so common with garages. Name and shame.
