  1. I'm in Horsham and work in Crawley so will keep an eye out for you
  2. I'll second this. I had my MPSSs fitted recently and they are very good in both dry and wet conditions. Also soak up the bumps better than Bridgestone Re040s but even grippier. The steering response feels faster as well to me
  3. That kit will be fine. I used that one on my pop charger and my bmc cda with no probs. Bit fiddly to do the front part though with squeeze oil, so you might be better off with a spray if you can find one.
  4. It was a civilian freighter charted by the military to transport military equipment out of Afghanistan. The pilots have to do steep climb outs and approaches from Bagram air base to prevent themselves become targets at low altitude. As was said looks like the cargo shifted backwards, changing the centre of gravity of an already steeply climbing aircraft and pushing the nose up further and causing a deep stall that they couldn't recover from at that altitude.
  5. I've started using a silicone blade to get rid of most of the water and then a chamois to finish it off. Much quicker and easier than using a chamois for the whole job.
  6. Was the gearbox oil changed?

    Falken 453's

Yeah got mine from Camskill and was just under £700 for all four delivered. Also doing the fuel discount on them at the moment so even better value.
  8. I put my intake and exhaust on and paid the admin fee (£20ish) last year to update the policy. Hasn't made my renewal go up this year do happy to stay with them as they're still cheap compared to others Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Plenty of Zeds around Crawley, I see a few on the A23. Over the last week I've seen two azures, one a coupe and one a roadster and a gun metal coupe on the Ifield roundabout. There's also a sunset one that I see quite a lot and there also another two people where I work with gun metal coupes. Getting a bit too common around here!
  10. The jwt filter is white ish once the old oil has been cleaned out. So if you want to keep it blue then you need blue oil. K&N makes it go red and then after a while it fades and goes a brown/purple sort of colour. At least mine did.
  11. My car was exactly the same as this difficulty getting into 2nd and a nasty crunch going into 6th at about 43k miles. Clutch and flywheel was also shot and was replaced. Abbey Motorsport fitted a reconditioned 2006 gear box and it is much smoother than my 2004 box ever was in all gears. Makes more of a whining noise though but worth doing as it has changed the driving experience immensely. Either get a second hand box or get a rebuilt one would be my advice as it's well worth it. If your biting point is very high and/or you get poor or noisy clutch engagement or judder, I would recommend a clutch and flywheel replacement at the same time as it makes a world of difference.
  12. You will know when they go off as the whole front end of the car get soaked, especially if you're not moving. At speed they seem to work a bit better though.
  13. I remember seeing that one for sale on here. That one was a different shape though. I have to admit I was surprised to see a burnt version as I've not seen one for sale anywhere else on the web. I'm not sure if it's a Japan only version or if it's a custom/one off. They did have a lot of custom parts in there so it's possible it is. At least it didn't cost any more than the one for sale on here
  14. Well, I've just been out in Tokyo with work and found out quite quickly that my route to work took me past the Nismo factory at Omori. This is where Nismo kit out race ready cars and rebuild engines. You can also take a standard car in there and have it completely kitted out and tuned. In the window they had this: This was about as close as I could get to it as it was in a closed off area. I then went to the shop where they had a lot of custom bits on display including a rather pretty titanium exhaust for an R35 that belongs in a museum rather than on a car. It was hanging up on the wall to be honest. I then got myself a little something: I've not seen a burnt titanium one of these before so I thought I would get it. It would have been nice to see the rest of the building but you need an appointment to get in as it's really for customers who want to discuss tuning.
  15. Mine has stopped working on my galaxy S2 since the site update and also on the iPad using tapatalk HD. It says that the forum is restricting acces to Tapatalk or that the tapatalk plugin is not working and to contact the forum admin. I'm guessing that the new site hasn't had tapatalk enabled yet.
  16. He must have been terrified. Lucky not to get hit at all. I can imagine his trousers must have been a messy afterwards

Some pics showing the final fitment of the back box and tip alignment here: http://s1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc3 ... 20Exhaust/

The diff cover had to be removed for the right hand pipe to fit. If I cut a chunk out of it it should go back on. The whole system was very tight and was difficult to mate up some of the pipes. Due to the tension when bolted up two of the flanges had slight gaps on one side and leaked. This required exhaust paste to seal. Also the back box was hanging low on the right side so the hanger had to be bent down a bit. still not perfect but looks ok

The pipes are 2.5" all the way through to the back box. I had some issues with fitment on mine but it's on now though and looks ok
  20. If its hacked the you need to set the head unit to cassette mode as the iPod hack uses the tape player audio connections in the head unit. You might need to put a cassette in to force it into tape mode if the internals haven't been modded to trick the head unit into thinking there is a tape inserted.
  21. A lot of us thought that till we started using 'Megs All Metal'. Both are good. I think Autosol is better at cleaning, whereas the Megs is good as a finishing polish as it contains wax and therefore keeps the dirt off. I gave my DC sports system a going over with Megs before fitting and it's still quite shiny after a month without cleaning and all the rain of late. I think a rinse will probably take all the dirt off without having to polish again.
  22. They are secured by 6 screws, two in the middle where the tow hook cover goes and then one in each corner. Basically the screws are very long self tappers and you have to screw them into the plastics and/or crash bar behind the bumper. Can be bit of a pain to get the holes started but worth it when you have a lovely grill to look at when they're in.
  23. Kumho I'Zen KW27 work alright for me in winter. I'm running standard 18" sizes on standard OEM wheels. Very good in snow and icy conditions but a little soft so get some roll on the sidewalls during corners compared to summer tyres. Well worth it though as the car feels much more stable even when dry and the temperature just drops below 5 degrees. The RE040s on my Rays are scary even in cold conditions as they go very hard and tramline and lose grip at very low speeds. Lethal in the cold and wet or when icy hence why I got winter tyres. I got tired of having to drive like a granny and then still feeling nervous about losing it whilst everyone else flew past me!
  24. Definitely sounds like air in the cooling system. When I changed my coolant it was a real pain to get the air out. The air came out cold until the revs went a bit higher then the would be a flood of warm air and the water temp gauge would spike a bit then the the air would get cold again. I found that putting the front of the car up on ramps so that the radiator filler neck was higher than the bleed valve helped to get the air out and fill the pipe with the bleed valve with coolant as it was full of air. Was still a pain to bleed completely though. Not something I would want to do too often.
  25. Probably just the PCV valve making that noise. It is on the off side front of the engine on the rocker cover and has a hose coming out of it. I believe that they are meant to hiss as it's the air pressure from the crankcase being relieved and put back into the plenum.
