  1. just got back from a 10 day stint, didn't see any uk 350's did see a nice italian pre 06 in grey.
  2. Sounds like there could be an issue with a sensor somewhere, I would take it to the garage to get it checked out.
  3. I re-sprayed a centre console but I didn't want a gloss finish and just left as it was, if you do wan it glossy then ya centre console is easy enough, worse case you end up sanding it back and having to re-spray / lacquer
  4. This time it was very good, I tend to avoid them normally to be honest.
  5. To be honest I would look at how you're currently using the internet for you marketing of your site. I would suspect tat will yield more results than doing anything practical to your website. You have to remember that Search engines don't know anything, they know which sites are most popularly searched for / clicked on from their own and they create a ranking base don this, the more of those top sites you have links off of the higher up in the search results you will become. The other things you need to think about are stemming (word's get shortened) so detailing would become detail, when someone does a search for your website the words they type in get stemmed down and produce a vector within googles database, the closes sites to that vector end up the highest so... Car detailing in Birmingham as far as google cars is car, detail, birmingham so on your website you need to have similar words, inaddition they look at the links between the words and the order to determine good results. So one change you could make now that would help: In your signature: Need your car detailed http://www.pristinedetailing.co.uk To: Professional car detailing in Birmingham: http://www.pristinedetailing.co.uk As an example, you have to work out what's the most useful terms for you. Also as someone pointed out this can take months. As for Meta tags, afaik they were good in the past i think most use them but they don't carry as much weight as the actual text on the site. Anyway, I'm happy to help you out if you need some more help.
  6. Bloody hell, that price has shot up from when I bought mine then They asked be for a princely sum of £17.89 still cheaper than removing the entire set with the dynomec or buying a replacement set of keys etc so not too bad. Luckily they had it within their group stock so i'll get it tuesday. Thanks for the help guys
  7. Cheers guys will try the local dealership now.
  8. To cut a long story short I basically have nuked my allow wheel nut key, I think the time before last it was done up to tight and an undo - redo took it's toll, either way it's screwed. So my questions are.... 1,So I just go get a locking wheel nut remover such as http://www.dynomec.co.uk/ 2, I believe I can order a replacement from nissan / McGuard but I don't really want to wait 8 weeks for it I need to get my wheels off in the next 2 weeks if not sooner. 3, Do all 350's come with the same key for the locking wheel nut ? My suspicion is that they are all the same, But I would need to find some kind and generous person that owned a 350z and was willing to let me use there locking wheel nut key (which given the circumstances may be challenging) Any help appreciated
  9. Clown I could probably take your original bumper if it's in good nick
  10. Canon 60D with a canon 50mm EF lens. That explains why the depth of field is good
  11. Initially I justified it to the wife as it saving wear and tear on the car, and continued to remind her it was a sports car, now she double de-clutches while changing down so as to not damage the car, don't think she heal and toe's, but who knows whats he does in my car when i'm not there to supervise.
  12. What camera / lens is it? Don't know why but I think it's a fixed body of some sort but the sort that has a nice lens on it the depth of field is pretty impressive.
  13. I tend to heal and toe if i'm in a "spirited" drive but if i'm driving more sedately I skip it, just when needs must. Never use to do it in any other cars but does make life so much nicer when changing down at speed.
  14. I get a crunching noise with 5th which I think is caused by a weak spring in the gear mechanism, if i have my hand on top of the gear stick and apply a little pressure downwards it makes a noise, if I cup the stick and pull / push rather than rest my hand on the top it doesn't make the same crunching noise. Wondering if that's similr with your 3rd gear. As for 1st, Aren't they all a pig when cold in 1st/2nd, Does it get better if you warm the car up then put it in first ? that would suggest gearbox oil to me as it would be more viscous after a few mins of warm up.
  15. Welcome back Glad you had fun. Was there anything that was better / worse than expected? I know the first time I went I was surprised at how steep some of those hills really are! and
  16. I agree, The breathalisers in Halfords was £25 on the ferry they were £5 (for 2)
  17. I found out this week that I suffer from joint hypermobility, but compared to that guy i'm pretty normal. For a 17stone guy it looks a little weird when i do the splits or turn my feet backwards, but what ever that guy did with his legs just ins't right...
  18. I don't know why but I kinda like the coffee shop in Rewe :/ If you've got a bit of time on your hands try Cockhem and Koblenz both pretty probably half day long trips min though also if you can find brunchen (not to hard next turning on the left after the main ring entrance if you're heading towards Koblenz) it's nice to watch the cars and you can walk to the wipperman and karussel easy enough and to echo everyone else Have fun, take it slow, watch out for those pesky Italians
  19. I do try! But even potholes aside, British roads are awful so looking for something slightly more comfortable for daily use but with some sort of drop as I don't want big gaps between wheel and arch. Try driving in Belgium, there roads make ours look fantastic I would swap the tyres as a start, putting on coilovers isn't going to make it more comfortable as a daily drive, and likewise just changing the springs won't help too much. if you want a softer ride you really need higher springs or to adjust the rate of dampening, so coilovers could do this but in my experience even the softest setting on coilovers is harsher than just lowered. (albeit that was on a different car so not sure what the Zed is like)
  20. Hmm my friend lives in fleet and drives through sandhurst to get to work and has gunmetal 350z Wonder if it was him I guess it could have been.
  21. Hello! I did a quick search and came across viewtopic.php?f=53&t=41347&hilit=aftermarket+seat Which is a similar issue to what I have, i fit in my seat just fine and my hair nicely skims the roof with no major concerns, but when I went for some driver training I was not able to get in the car at all really with a helmet on. I tried several different seat positions and no luck I just ended up with a compressed neck.... So my question is, are after market seats lower in profile compared to standard, how close to the floor do they then become and roughly how much room would be gained between head and roof? Any help appreciated
  22. I believe even with protected no claims you lose out on all of the discount, but when it's been 3-5 years after the accident you'll return to the normal amount of discount. You should be declaring anything that is not fitted to the standard model (this includes optional extras) although TBH in my experience the insurance companies will more than happily use the cost of the mods to write off the vehicle quicker while only allowing you to replace with standard parts You could for example, argue that you replaced your brembo pads with Ferodo ones as an OEM swap and same with your discs likely but not brake hoses, so with your wheels you'd need to declare them and likewise the body kit. And TBH I would put your excess up as high as you can afford.
  23. Personally i'd cut her out now if possible, but make sure you get the money out of her that she owes, if it's in negative equity by 10k then she owes you 5k to take the house off of her hands. Also have you considered renting the odd room out? I know a few people that have done that and makes enough to cover most of the mortgage which should help, and quite often they'll only be there mon-fri for work. either way good luck with what ever happens
  24. Due to a hard drive failure a few years back i don't have any decent pics but I found these on facebook! This was my first car and I spent a lot on that car, almost didn't get rid of it, was going to put a 2L focus angine in it, but I brought a focus instead :/ (hated it within a month) To give an idea of how carried away I tend to get with mods.. Coilovers, TSW alloys Break upgrade Front + rear strutbraces Poly-urethane bushes Backbox + air filter bespoke grill Racing arches a sub, components 2 amps + some fancy head unit fully soundproofed sprayed dash, blue-led replacement on all interior dash components all black bits of the car colour coded I got carried away some what, totaly forgot to do the engine for some reason Glad I moved on though
