  1. At 1.02, if I was in the silver car watching him trying to jack the car in front, fail, then run towards my car to try to jack me I would have probably just speared into him and run him over
  2. My fave courtesy of Tarmac linking this image on Facebook - How do I buy this??? I'm not on the facebook
  3. Was that you near Gorleston fire station a couple of weeks ago? I was at the lights as you drove past. Was dark so couldn't tell it was a zed til quite late!
  4. There are a couple of black ones over here in Yarmouth (one of them being mine! ) There is a blue Nismo in Lowestoft though
  5. That's the one, Bill Gwynne! Top marks sir! got a few mates a day there for Christmas last year They still havent been Feel free to post me their invites, that looks awesome
  6. That's fair enough. From what i've heard no one regrets going to university, it seems like a great life experience. Good parties too! Edit - slightly misread your comment! I managed to do an HNC in my private time and with partial funding from work (and start an HND). Might be worth seeing if that is an option. No parties though!
  7. I think timing has a lot to do with it. I am 27 and didn't go to uni. I finished college at 18 and got a job in the career I wanted. With the economic situation a lot of my friends who got into careers and jobs when we were 16-19 got their feet in the door and gained experience in their field when perhaps finding a job was easier. A lot of people my age who went to univeristy finished their education when finding a job was hard due to the economy, so struggled to find work, especially in their respective field. Also, possibly, there's an expectation to go to uni and go straight into a high paid job. We who started working at 16-18 worked our way up, gained experience so are on decent wages etc. If I had gone to university i would have had to find a job or career when there were few out there, whilst having no real job experience. I feel sorry for many of my school friends who struggled to find employment; many were very clever and worked very hard, they were just "unlucky" with the economy. So im my personal opinion / circumstances, getting a degree would have made my quality of life a whole lot worse! As a side note, when playing "The Game Of Life" every game where i ended up going to uni ended up a lot worse than when I didn't. Board games do not lie!

    Flashy Lights

If you wire the horn up to it as well it will give some added drama when the ABS kicks in
  9. Looks very good. I have a black zed too and am toying with the idea of getting it professionally detailed. Judging by your pictures it certainly looks worth it! I suppose if you clean it thereafter with the techniques advised by the DIY detailers (no sponge / 2 buckets etc) it should still look that good for a long time to come.
  10. Tarmac (who posted above) sorted me out with the clear reflectors/aerial combo kit, might be worth seeing if he does smoke effect ones.
  11. I originally thought this as well, and purchased some clear ones (for a 56 plate though). About a month ago a silver zed drove past at night with the LED reflectors and it did look very good!
  12. First time I've seen this thread, that is a fantastic photo!
  13. Haha the headlight wash on the clean bonnet annoys me too! Glad i'm not the only one who thinks this
  14. Have to agree with you there. There are bits like the lights that look too flashy and show-y on otherwise a smart stylish car. It feels like it has lost it's way and is neither one thing or the other now Not that I'm in the market for one so Aston probably don't care! I've always been a big fan of the V8 Vantages. Simple but pretty http://www.blogcdn.com/cars.aol.co.uk/media/2012/10/a1-1350902131.jpg
  15. Just stumbled across this on detailing world - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=334956&highlight=rapid+detailer So fingers crossed it should be ok!
  16. Thanks for the helpful replies everyone, I will let you know how well it goes
  17. Is the dodo juice qd particularly aggressive/harsh? Or could this be a problem I could expect with the Autoglym one too? After ilogikal mentioning the shampoo and you mentioning this I'm starting to lean towards using shampoo as lubricant now! It was hard enough trying to get hold of the mitt in the first place so I would rather not destroy this one!
  18. Cheers for that. Would you say it is better using the detailer or the shampoo then? ( I use the Autoglym shampoo when cleaning the car). I assumed when I bought it the detailer would be better as it mentioned it on the back of the mitt packet. I've used a normal clay bar before and that came with a lubricant similar I imagine to what I have just bought. Also I'm guessing to use the mitt in straight lines following contours where possible yeah?
  19. Afternoon, After reading a few good reviews on here and on Detailing World I decided to try a Farecla G3 Clay Mitt on my parents car as it could do with claying. The packaging recommends using the G3 Bodyshop detailer as a lubricant, but Halfords had run out so I purchased some Autoglym Rapid Detailer, as it states on the bottle that it can also be used as clay lubricant (albeit for a Autoglym clay bar) Can anyone see any problems or harm that may arise from using two different companies products together? I think they should be alright but thought I'd throw it out there! I have attached some links so you can see which products I mean! Thanks, Kurt Mitt - http://www.g3pro.com/product/body-prep-clay-mitt/ Recommended Lube - http://www.g3pro.com/product/g3-bodyshop-detailer/ Autoglym Detailer - http://www.autoglym.com/products/products/rapid-detailer

  21. If I remember rightly I think 2 stroke bikes have very little engine braking too, although it's been a very long time since i've ridden one!
  22. I think a GTR would be proud of that acceleration at 0.30
  23. Ford Escort RS Cosworth Ferrari F40 Ford GT / GT40 (Can't decide which one at the minute!) Alfa Romeo 8C Caterham 620R Plus shares in Shell
  24. Has anyone heard from the OP for a while? I sent a PM a couple of months back and heard nothing back, thought he might be working away or something!
