  1. Tried the local shops, all sold out at the minute. Will have to keep a lookout! Sounds good from what everyone's been saying
  2. As a 350 owner I've seen some photos of some stock 370s and thought that they look good, and helped me change my opinion on them as originally I wasn't too keen on them (actually I wasn't too keen on the look of the 350z too when it first came out!) At what point does stock photos become "acceptable"? If someone were to post a picture of a stock Zonda, MP4 or Escort Cossie that would be cool. A standard people carrier may not be so impressive!
  3. Seen that clip before, I think the steering lock engaged as he turned the wheel so he couldn't then straighten up!
  4. Yep, I had this problem too. Nice quick and easy fix to check at home. Had a stone wedged in between the shield and the disc. Probably worth checking first as its so easy to do. Oh and check the other side too. When I fixed the drivers side, I took it for a test drive and without that noise I could then hear the other side making the same noise!

  6. To top it off he's using an adjustable to fit it too (for that proper DIY feel) haha
  7. After seeing digital climate controls in other cars, I thought the minimum (counter clock wise) below 18 is "Low", and the maximum (clockwise) would be "High/Max". As it's climate control, would the second click regulate at 18deg, the second to top maintain 32deg? Then the extremes will either max cool or heat. When using aircon for cooling I push the button then go maximum counter clockwise. So basically LOW - 18-32 - HIGH on the dial
  8. Have you got any more info on this? As I've got a feeling I have this problem on my front drivers side! Any special tools or expertise required? I will remove the wheel and have a look when I get some time off work, would just be handy to have an idea of what to look for in advance. Cheers!
  9. Your wish is my command Looks really smart mate! Suits the colour of the car really well
  10. Looks great in that colour! Do you have a photo of the whole car with those colour wheels?

    Green or white?

Red for the same reason! (Or Brembo gold) Is it hard keeping white calipers clean? Had white motorbike wheels once and was nearly impossible to keep clean
  12. I got to about 58 seconds and thought "wouldn't it be funny if......no way!!!!"

It's worth giving it a try mate, I didn't think I could it looking anywhere near that. It seems for ages you get nowhere, then all at once it comes together

Thanks for the kind comments! I washed and dried it, then clay barred (is that a word?!) it. I then cleaned the lubricant off, used polish to remove any imperfections, then wax sealed it. A mate had some of that Dodo juice which brought out a good shine, gonna order myself some too. That was done on the second day, after cleaning and drying it again. On a side note, when I type comments my return button doesn't work! I have to change the editing mode on the top left corner, anyone know why?

    Detail and Photos

Hi people After receiving some advice on detailing and products from a couple of mates, I finally decided to give it a go. I did the exterior paintwork, but I would like to get the wheels off and get them and the callipers looking mint another day. All in all took about 14 hours across 2 days. Here are the pictures ( I shrank them before loading on photobucket so unfortunately a bit of quality is lost, will try to fix it) Kurt
  16. Awesome. Much better than a woman falling over for the Q5S! (or SQ5 or whatever it's called) Think it's the first car advert I've ever seen that's vaguely aimed at people that are interested in cars.
  17. Just as I sent that I noticed the list in your signature!
  18. Bloody hell that sounds good! What you got on the car then?
  19. Trying to recall from memory from a few years ago (so I may be wrong!!!) is that on aircraft they disrupt the air to make control surfaces more responsive / effective. So possibly at exceptionally high speeds on a car maybe they are designed to increase the downforce created by the spoiler? I doubt there would be any noticeable difference below 200mph!
  20. Looks great, especially in the first picture. I don't think I've seen a yellow one in the flesh.
  21. @0.19 Wouldn't all your coins fall out of the door pocket?! Obviously I joke ( I would never have coins rattling around!)
  22. Was thinking the same. I think it adds to the cars character, Having bought a new 2006 facelift 350 and a 370 there is no doubt the 350 standard exhaust was more sporty sounding. In comparison, the 370 is so quiet IMO it fails to convey you are in a "Sports" car and it also has the downside of allowing more engine noise in the cabin which, yes at the top end of the rev range can sound a bit harsh. Putting a Nismo exhaust on the 350 transformed the sound quality enormously (as well as looking ultra ). Putting the Stillen exhaust on the 370 didn't just transform the sound quality it makes you feel you are in a sports car (the fact it looks pretty good and added around 18bhp are nice bonuses ) Smart looking zed!
  23. Been a long wait over winter. The Porsches sound fantastic
