  1. Edited - I sort of missed the subject a bit! I'm all for proper illness / disability payments to those who deserve it. BTW my return button won't work in this box!

    tyre choice

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyres_For/Nissan/350z.htm Found this. I've got Avon ZZ3s which seem fine. I think they may be discontinued though as ZZ5s are now out. For a very brief period I had new ZZ3s on the rear with Bridgestones on the front and it really upset the handling. I then fitted the fronts with ZZ3 and immediately sorted the problem
  3. Good pictures and videos I'm hoping to do the new Snetterton circuit this year so will use your video to learn the new layout!
  4. Bit off-topic, but a little tip - on a cold day if your window wiper washers freezes up, with the lights on the headlight washers thaw out quick. So use below 10mph and your windscreen gets a good soaking too You only get one shot per journey though so use wisely!!!

    My new car!

Looks smart! Best shape headlights too
  6. I've found the complete opposite I find that cars don't get up my arse, or try racing me. Infact I find that if I'm at a set of lights in the left lane and a car pulls up in the right hand lane, no matter how slow or late I pull away when the lights turn green they always seem to let me go first If i'm in the overtaking lane cars pull over out of the way 99 times out of 100. Except Vauxhall Zafrias for some reason, they always try having a play! (edit) Just remembered I live in Norfolk, I don't think anyone here drives fast or agressively. Or properly.
  7. Never knew this list existed!!! This will cause much discussion (arguments) at work Saw a white GT86 on pistonheads which someone had bought, and it did look very smart.
  8. Pretty funny how Hoy managed a handbrake turn in an old Sunbeam then started comparing himself to McRae! Good documentary though, there was one a while back on group B rally cars which was awesome too (think it was on BBC4)
  9. Some fantastic photos there ironhide
  10. Didn't upload I'll try again..... I took my wheels off and cleaned them last year using Auto Glyms cleaner stuff. Worked really well at removing the tar spots and the gold staining from the brakes. Will do it every year I think.
  11. I found this a while back, not sure where I found it (maybe from here?)
  12. I've noticed many Ducatis and other cars such as Evos have squeeky Brembo brakes too. Must be a company trait!
  13. I think this might be the case, there's two tesco petrol stations only 5 miles apart round here, one pretty much always has 99, the other one hardly ever (the one I drive past every day to work unfortunately!) And I've had the Burger King running out of burgers too. One job!! Haha
  14. Well I ordered a snap-on one for £22 in the end as I thought the side airbag compatability was a bonus as most of my driving is to and from work. Will let you know how well I get on with it (if anyone really cares!)
  15. They are my next choice if I can't get the snap-on ones for a reasonable price Wow They look a bit permanent though, I would like something I can effortlessly throw on and off. And not cost $270
  16. Must be hard getting into the zed inside a garage with the wide door, even when parked right up close to the left wall? Bad enough in a wide car park space sometimes
  17. Hi, I'm after a seat cover for the driver's seat for days when I'm working to keep the seat nice and clean. Are there any good recommended ones out there? Looking at snap-on ones they seem to be compatable with the airbags which is good. I'm not after any flash or fancy designs as it will be removed on days i'm not working. Thanks
  18. I've driven a few of them on a similar day. This is how I felt comparing them to each other back to back. The lambo sounded lush and was a really easy car to drive fast. And the noise.... The 911 (I drove a GT3 so not exactly the same as yours) was a really fun car to drive. Before that day I wasn't ever a fan of Porsches but this changed my opinion on them. Handled and went well, sounded good and quite unique (flat 6?). If its the V8 vantage, its a proper smart car inside, but to me didn't have as much of a sporty hardcore feel to it. It was still fast and powerful and looks amazing. Felt like a big tourer in the given company. (Would love to own one though!) The 360 gearbox didn't feel that great, but sounded great and revved up to about 9k I think. Looking down at the rev counter and seeing the Ferrari logo there is a great feeling though! And although I didn't drive one, surely the R8 is just an uglier Gallardo right? For that special supercar experience, its gotta be the Lambo
  19. The black wheel bolts look great with the rest of the wheel too
  20. I did advertise it on there a while ago, but only got really daft offers. I haven't really put any effort into trying to sell it lately as now its not essential that I sell it anymore. Just had it serviced yesturday and had a good drive out and loved it TBH i'll probably remove it from sale and just keep it. My house has most of the furniture in it now so I dont really need the luggage capacity
  21. I am always open to advice, but after looking around for comparison on sites such as autotrader, the Nismo cars (the very few of them around!) with the GT packs and comparable mileages are around £13,000 + (some private some dealer) give and take, some have the 276 / 313 bhp etc. I'm under the impression im selling mine off reasonably cheap! Even a couple of dealers have offered me not massively far off what I am after for it prvately, but the cars they are offering in part exchange are more expensive than I would like to buy, I would like to spend around 3-4k on my next car and put the rest into my new home. I am always open to offers
  22. Looking at some new cars like the new shape Fiesta, people would rather spend 13k on a diesel that saves them a few pence per fuel tank, than spending half that on a fun and interesting car that costs a few more pence to fill up each time (but about 3 - 4 times the power). Surely if you're that worried about the cost, get a bus! As my yearly mileage has now massively increased I was considering a diesel, but now their prices seem silly-high for what you are getting, coupled with the fact that i've seen a few petrol stations where diesel is 11p a litre more than unleaded. It might pay to stick with a petrol Sad times!
  23. So am I lol, I haven't even had anyone come view it! I dunno how other zed sellers are finding selling at the moment, its a shame that nowadays people are more interested in saving a few pence per tank of fuel rather than enjoying their lives. Still for the time being their loss is my gain, i'm still enjoying driving it! I'll probably wait until the new year then just trade it in
  24. Hi, Here are those interior photos as requested. Kurt
  25. I am open to offers, but I've had no serious interest it seems. Seems a bit strange as I spent a long time looking for a factory nismo kitted car as they seem few and far between. I think you might be right about the GT pack putting people off perhaps. Personally I've never been a big fan of leather seats myself, and why do I need cruise control in a drivers car? I was originally going to put most of the money from the zed towards the house and about 3-4k towards a replacement car, but it seems likely that I will trade it in at a dealer against a newer and more expensive car that I originally planned. I need something with 5 seats and reasonable luggage space! I've got a few weeks left before it needs to go really, so will start shopping around for a new car at dealers now I think (was originally going to buy privately) Thanks for the kind comments from everyone It's a shame it has to go!
