Don't even go there it's on most peoples ring tones out here, talk about hero status. Sooo looking forward to leaving Tuesday.

If I see it again tomorrow I'll hang out of the window to record the noise, unreal! Seems so out of place as the people here are so conservative in taste and very respectful of others

So I finally gave in and got a personalised number plate...

I remeber seeing Trevor Nation coming out of the '83 (I think) Race of Aces at Snetterton with PEN 15 on his motor, nearly crashed as I laughed so much my visor steamed up... Now that's a cool plate. -
I heard it long before I saw it...06:40 this morning my time, Korea. Black 350 complete with body kit of some description and a mahoosive rear wing! I was sat on a coach going to work in Geoje and could hear it over the incessant babbling of 40+ Koreans , it's the only one I've seen out here and only the second Jap car, for obvious reasons...

No, but I'm feeling better already so I'll stand you a coffee rob, where do you live/drive? East Dereham, Norfolk. Quite a few Zeds about this way...
-
Ok, but the rest of you on here?
-
The full breakfast still stands I often wonder just how so many people manage to spend so much time on this forum, idle rich or just slack at work

Right, this is getting beyond a joke...seriously I've had my 350Z now for nearly 3 years, I do drive it, I drive it in daylight conditions, it doesn't have a cloaking device, I have seen and have "spotted" other Zeds, but mine? I think that previously I posted that I'd buy breakfast for anyone that saw and "spotted" my car on this forum...I'm now at the stage that I don't care if you lie about having seen it.

I'd sell my Midnight Blue GT,'08 with 42,000 miles. Really is mint inside and out with no dings etc, Mines carbon splitter, carbon rear difuser and Miltek system fitted. Anthracite powder coated wheels and matching door handles and Z badges. £10,500.

I've had 2 sets on my 350, great tyre all round IMHO. Down side is I've never manged more than 9k out of a set, there's always going to be trade off...

Well, just to put closure on this subject. After numerous emails and telephone calls to the dealership, of which all were ignored, they did eventually get in touch. Having sought advice I was informed that all I was responsible for was the cost of any repair work carried out, as per my previous posts I had never not been willing to pay this. I did however question the £475+vat cost of painting a door. The sum I offered has been accepted by the dealer, somewhat less than £500. I could have called the credit card company, filed for a disputed payment and in all likelihood paid nothing back, not my way. There was nothing in T&C re non refund of deposit. I have over the years bought many cars and bikes through dealerships and had it has always been a trouble free, in many cases bordering on a pleasurable, experience...there were many things that turned this episode into a less than pleasant one. To all that had offered advice I thank you, whether it was in the positive or the perceived negative!

The panel is a door, £475+vat.

Thanks Will, throughout all this your avatar has always made me smile, awsome. Possibly cos it's a dead ringer for a mate of mine...

For the record, I'm not disputing that the dealer should be reimbursed, I do however fail to see that a single panel respray should cost in excess of £500. I am aware I have to pay for the work carried out, and that's all I'm liable for. I'm also fully aware that the dealer fails to reply to any of my efforts to contact them, email or phone calls. It doesn't bode well that it's been resprayed not once but twice now... Factor in the "yeah it's mint, no car park dings at all..." Defect on the door and resprayed wheels, in black, just because they thought it would look good. With hindsight I should have walked away, hands up my fault.

Just want to say that all the advice received is greatly appreciated, I'll give it a go.
-
I fully agree with the posts above, I understand my position with regards to the deposit but I do consider £475 plus vat to be a bit excessive. The panel required no filling etc just rubbing down and respraying.
-
Thanks guys for you replies, to be honest that's how I envisaged it also. Just feeling a bit miffed at the cost of resraying the panel, £500, and having to lose that amount from my deposit. Seems a bit steep.

I'm not too sure as to just where I stand with this; I recently called a dealer with regards to an advert for a Z, prior to travelling to see the car I asked all the relevant questions along with "barring stone chips is it dent free?" and the answwr was "yes, it's perfect". Anyway, went to see it and straight away noticed a previously 'worked' dent, not happy as I'd pretty much decided it was the car for me. The dealer offered to repaint the panel and I agreed under the proviso that it was a flawless finish. After several follow up phone calls from the pushy salesman to seal the deal I agreed to part with a deposit and paid this with my credit card. A few days later my personal circumstances changed and unfortunatley I was no longer in a position to go ahead with the sale. I called the dealer immediately to be told that as the repair had been carried out I would lose most of my deposit, I would not however be liable for the fact that the first respray was poor and the car was having to be re-worked. Does anyone know, or can offer advice as to how I stand with this? Obviously I don't want to cause any ill feeling with the dealership but at the same time would appreciate not having to lose a substantial sum of money.

Thanks for thats Alex, shame as my black 20mm anodised spacers are as new...I will however be removing the Stillen Gen3 from the 350. Are the Eibachs available in black? And so the mods begin!
-
As above, are these the same fitment? I've decided that the 350 is to go and I pick up a 370 next monday, I only hope it's as good! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I keep threatening to work out........................ Well that's about all I am doing, apart from the weekend I spent at the MotoGP...

I'm currently working out in OZ, want to go and see the new Bond film but have promised the missus I'll wait 'till I get back then we can both go...not sure I can keep to that.

You'll love this...I met mine when I went to the bank to draw the money out to buy my 350Z. Long story short; whilst waiting, the Bank Mananger insisted upon doing an account review for me, basically made me a cup of coffee whilst I read her paper and she 'sorted' out my account. A year to the day we got married, the only downside is it's not easy to run a slush fund for the car and bike and keep it hidden
