  1. I got it done by the same person who's done everyone else's http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79573-re-trimmed-wheel/ I saved my original controls and swapped them over, I just sent off a bare wheel and when it came back swapped the controls and airbag from my original
  2. Don't worry about it until it starts blowing, when it does go to a custom exhaust place like powerflow and get them to weld in some new flexis, shouldn't cost too much
  3. Really easy, maybe there is a member local who can help you out for the first time to show you how, hardest bit will be getting the belts tight enough and undoing the nut on the pulley (it's not hard). Expect about 3-4 hours to get it all done
  4. Algarvebaggie, I'm glad you sold it though, the thought crossed my mind of buying it then selling mine to make some of the money back.
  5. really?? after watching that on top gear i thought it looked quite dull TBH. For the money i would expect it to look like a hyper car not a boxster. The Carrera GT had the looks that this is lacking in. For the money id rather have a Singer 911
  6. Ive been down this route and never been happy with it, i still have the cheap tablet i bought in the drawer because its a piece of crap, i have given up now and put a satnav in my cubby.
  7. Yes, the controls on each side became different on the HR models where the switches were backlit instead of having written on the brushed aluminium what they do. other than that the wheel and airbag remains the same
  8. I love this. Where did you get it done? Its the same place that everyone else get theirs done in this thread, http://www.350z-uk.c...-trimmed-wheel/ Mine is a 2mm padding with black alcantara and orange stitching.
  9. Needs lowering and spacers. Also thats the julian clary of wings
  10. Fantastic, thats why we love motor racing. If only F1 was as good.
  11. I fitted my new alcantara steering wheel this morning, It wasn't too hard to change, much easier than i was expecting.
  12. Isn't iceland an incredible place though, that's a shame you didn't get to see them, I went there in October and saw them, was quite strange I was expecting to see them like you do in the photos I.e big streak of green and purple going across the sky but all you see is white until you take a photo with the right aperture. Here's one of the photos I could get, it's a bit blurry but best i could do without a tripod
  13. do you have a coupe or roadster? id start by looking at the strut brace
  14. Really sorry to hear this, but the main thing is your fine and no one was hurt. Typical insurance companies. Are you getting a payout or are you 3rd party only? If your getting a payout then hopefully you can get another one
  15. I think it'll be a golf gti, my friend had one when someone ploughed into the back of his Beemer
  16. It was only a 'bare' wheel I bought to get re-trimmed so the airbag will be the original one thats still on the car. Ah just wondered, not sure you could get the airbag bit trimmed anyway Sent from the golf club... I don't think you can, I may be wrong but I think the plastic has to split to let the bag out.

  18. I had this delivered today, +2mm padding with all over black alcantara and orange stitching. Not the best picture but hopefully get some better ones when its fitted at the weekend
  19. The shut line on that bonnet or bumper is truly awful! The rest of the car has a decent look about it though
  20. Similar idea to this, instead of the carbon layer you can just put some fibreglass matting in there and brush in the resin to make it easier.
