  1. Good stuff Chris. Funny how we all experience the same things, my coupler was rubbing there but caught it just before it wore though! I must get round to changing it one day. So that was the cog belt that wiped out the IVTC solenoid? When did that happen I've read horror stories about serious engine damage occurring when that happens any issues? A lot of people in the US make a bracket to protect it from the cog belt if it goes. Lol at the filter as well, mine was exactly the same when I changed it for the CAI. It really is a poor design when you have to crush the filter to fit or remove it without removing the charger.
  2. Not really sure how well it will work fixed to the suspension top mount as that's not really the right direction that the torque is felt. Have a look at the Stillen Engine damper for comparison. That's the one that most FI owners use (including myself) and does work.
  3. Looks good. I think you would definitely get interest and sell a few. Obviously the price would have right.

As said above, there is lots of Threads about it if you have a search. Here's my front lip - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68520-plastidipped-front-lip/

    Plasti Dip

    That's good to know.
  6. Look good. So is the rim just polished and lacquered or painted?
  7. I think the braided lines and fluid are more important than the discs and pads initially. When I had standard Brembo setup I always thought there was a little too much pedal movement before the brakes felt they was doing anything. The braided lines and fluid cured it. If your doing your brakes anyway, its a no-brainer for the extra £80 for lines and fluid.
  8. Good stuff ....God, I'd love to get into racing........
  9. Love this set up on mine with the HEL lines and RBF fluid. Great on track and on road with no excess noises.
  10. Looks really good. Love the first one. (and the 3rd)
  11. "disappointing successor – the 370Z"
  12. Most people go for the LED ones now, they look more modern, give a better light, and match the xenons quite well. Have a read here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/44931-sidelight-bulbs-what-have-you-uprated-to/page__hl__sidelight Don't go for ebay ones as they tend not to last as long as the ones from Autobulbs direct. The links I posted can be found on that post.
  13. I'm not one of the worriers, listening for noises and hiccups, I just enjoy it. And it is awesome. I only remember one member ever being that paranoid, and he didn't keep it long. However, I'm not sure what my next project will be, but it will have a V8 in it, or put in it. The noise alone is enough for me.
  14. Straight from the Queen's mouth! How much did you enjoy your supercharged v6? I didn't. which is why I sold it less than 6 months after fitting it That was because it was the gay, asthmatic HKS blower! Real men suck with Vortechs !!
  15. I know what you mean, the youth of today. My 21 year old step son went out in his golf gti and came back in an M3 !
  16. You cannot go by what anyone else says is cheap as everyone has a different risk. You can listen to customer service recommendations though. Compare on moneysupermarket, compare the market and gocompare. Then ring all the insurance companies associated with the club. Livingstone warnman Sky Prestige Etc... Livingstone warnman and sky have excellent customer service and a great deal of knowledge about these cars.
  17. There has been a couple that has failed like that recently. I looked at mine last week and it is definitely in need of some attention. Its a Dec 04 with 29k miles and looks in a bad way. I hate to think what some of them are like out there!
  18. I've used the STP complete fuel system cleaner on every car I've had and had no ill effects. I couldn't tell you if it done a great deal, but i'm sure it made my old Celica run smoother after use. I tend to use it about 20k ish, so not often. And have only used it once on the Zed @ about 15k. If you can keep an engine clean, why not.
