  1. According to government statistics (through howmanyleft), there were 47 350zeds less in Q4 of 2011 than in Q3. With many approaching old age and production long stopped, the 7,598 remaining cars are likely to dwindle down fairly quickly over the next few years.
  2. Spotted a black zed (didn't catch the numberplate, but looked like Kuro to me) parked outside the greasiest pizza in town (speaking from extensive experience).
  3. when you look at the other photos though, there is clearly 4mm from the clip at the back to the edge on each side and the clip diameter is exactly 5cm, so maybe it is an optical illusion afterall. Sincerely yours, Mr Sasha
  4. Sasha is the Russian short form for Alexander.
  5. I think you should put them on and film a drunken dance for us to ascertain suitability.
  6. Angle or no angle, in that photo it definitely looks no bigger than 53.
  7. Am I being dim or is that not equal to 58mm?
  8. You have two options which both end up with a similar outcome: exchange the EU license for a UK one (EU one is surrendered) or go do a driving test and get a UK one in addition to the EU one. I did the second and have two licenses which can come in handy in certain cases when driving abroad.
  9. Red Bull look like they might do seriously well at places like Barcelona and Hungary.
  10. + 1 to the advice before: if it ain't broke, don't worry about. On another note, I've done the routes you talk about a lot before and twice very recently, so if you want any advice or have any questions, just ask. Stelvio pass just above Monaco is great on a sunny day as long as you're careful (a British guy in a Gemballa in front of us wiped out off the road and into the trees). Also, the road that goes along the coast from France to Italy is epic as soon as you cross the border (French side generally is underwhelming, but the Italian towns along the coast that you see in-between the tunnels are stunning and well worth stopping at)! Enjoy!
  11. Hands up if you went on Autotrader/Pistonheads to check out how stupidly affordable these awesome cars are.
  12. Would look nice if it was more like so:
  13. Excuse the dirty car, but here are the Emotion nuts. You may notice a sorta colour theme going on with the exception of the brembos which will be painted as soon as I stop being poor.
  14. To be fair, there are good reasons for it being so cheap. Import, very low spec (wheels, brakes + most likely the interior), no pictures of the inside OR the apparently awesome stereo, very weird debadging, no spoiler of any kind which looks odd, dents here there and everywhere. Mileage is about the only thing which is actually not bad at all given the age.
  15. I'll post mine up when I get a chance - got some Emotion nuts off ebay and they look and feel fantastic.
  16. Here is some epicness after I played the interested n00b card. This is completely genuine. I edited it to make it easier to read by removing all the standard ebay stuff Hard to argue with a clutch that gives 300% increase to torques.
  17. I guess it's a bit hit and miss with these things. My Do-Luck fitted perfectly and has completely perfect gaps all round - but that was an original.
  18. One of your sensors is either blocked, bust or has a connection issue. Mine went like that after a kind lady drove into one of the sensors. My personal opinion is to get rid of them altogether
  19. I hit a badger at full dual carriageway speeds about a year and a half ago. Badger was split in two with steaming bits everywhere and was an absolutely huge one. The car didn't suffer a single scratch. I have absolutely no idea how that happened and how I managed to get away with no damage whatsoever. Could be that the speed was high enough for the car to just pierce the poor animal rather than have a blunt impact.
  20. Triumph GT6 Mk3
  21. I haven't heard of any cases of zeds running away and going feral...
  22. A lot of people have travelled far to get their optimal car. The drive back makes the experience 100 times better as well
  23. And when said Micra has an accident? Accidents are recorded against people rather than vehicles in this rather weird country. As you won't ever drive it, you are highly unlikely to crash it. Fair enough just wondered, also as it is already insured how does that work? There has to be a 'but' somewhere there always is even with the most cunning of plans.... Say the other person decides to run the car uninsured and you have it insured and they crash it? When you buy a car off someone, you go and get yourself an insurance policy and that car on the day you pick it up has two completely separate insurance policies on it at the same time for different people. Completely legal and clean as long as you do not lie about ownership status if you do not actually purchase the vehicle. There is nothing stopping you buying your own insurance on a friend's/relative's/any car you wish on the premise that you think there might be a time when you would have to drive it. There's nothing stopping you going and buying yourself insurance on a Ferrari you saw on TV as long as you have over the money. I've seen it done before (although it will not work in most cases price-wise) where buying two policies can be cheaper than one on its own
